Hampton is a suburban area on the north bank of the River Thames, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, England, and historically in the County of Middlesex. which includes Hampton Court Palace. Hampton is served by two railway stations, including one immediately south of Hampton Court Bridge in East Molesey. Hampton adjoins Bushy Park on two sides and is west of Hampton Wick and Kingston upon Thames. There are long strips of public riverside in Hampton and the Hampton Heated Open Air Pool is one of the few such swimming pools in Greater London. The riverside, on the reach above Molesey Lock, has residential islands, a park named St Albans Riverside and grand or decorative buildings including Garrick's House and the Temple to Shakespeare; also on the river is the Astoria Houseboat recording studio. Hampton Ferry provides access across the Thames to the main park of Molesey and the Thames Path National Trail. The Thames Water Hampton Water Treatment Works covers a large expanse of the town in the south west along the river Thames. The site is one of the largest capacity water treatment facilities in Europe producing one-third of London's daily drinking water supply (approximately 650Ml/d). The most common type of housing in the north of the district is terraced homes; in the south is it semi-detached. At the western edge of London, many workers commute to adjacent counties, or to Central London; education, health and social work, retail, transport and catering businesses are also significant local employers.

Carlisle Park, at Wensleydale Road, Hampton TW12 2LY is a compact multi-use recreational area in West London, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is about 600m north-east from Hampton railway station. Facilities include a bowling club, seven tennis courts, a children's playground, an adult aerobic exercise area, and sports pavilion. Two local cricket teams Hampton Hill CC and Woodlawn CC play there during the season. The park covers an area of 22 acres (0.1 km2). Opening times vary by season: park gates are opened at 07:00am and closed at/after dusk e.g. at around 16:00pm in mid-winter, and in the summer it can stay open 'til as late as 21:00pm; notices re park closing-times are posted on all three park entrances. Car parking is available within the main (Wensleydale Road) entrance gates; pedestrians and cyclists can also gain access from single gateways in Carlisle Road and in Wensleydale Gardens.

Hampton Cemetery is a cemetery on Hollybush Lane in Hampton in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It was opened in 1879 and is now managed by Richmond upon Thames London Borough Council. Hampton & Richmond Borough Football Club is an English semi-professional football club based in the suburb of Hampton, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. They were founded in 1921 and formerly known as Hampton FC until 1999 when they changed their name in an attempt to draw a wider support base from around the borough. As of the 2021–22 season, they compete in the National League South, at the sixth tier of English football. Hampton & Richmond Borough remains the only senior-level football club to represent the borough of Richmond upon Thames, but arguably struggles in attendance due to the popularity of rugby union in the borough. The club has a core support base of around 600 to 800 people. Before the start of the 2022/23 season, a new badge was revealed, which was designed by Lifelong fan Nick Taylor. There was a good response to this from many Hampton fans.
