Collège Français is a private French-language secondary school in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. It was established in 1987. It followed a Collège Français primary school that opened in Longueuil in 1972, and a campus of the Collège Français secondary school in Montreal which opened in 1959.Collège Français is home to the Longueuil Collège Français Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League team.

Ville Jacques-Cartier was a city located on the south shore of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was named after the founder of New France, Jacques Cartier. Now a defunct city, its former territory makes up a third of the city of Longueuil and more than 80% of Le Vieux-Longueuil borough.

Laporte is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It was created for the 1973 election from parts of Taillon and Chambly. It was named after former Liberal Minister Pierre Laporte who was kidnapped and killed by militants of the Front de libération du Québec during the October Crisis in 1970. In the change from the 2011 to the 2017 electoral map, it will gain the area around the Champlain Mall from the riding of La Pinière.

Approximately 7,300 (fall 2016) students (as much in the Continuing Education programs) are enrolled in the 2 campuses, the main one located in Longueuil and the École nationale d'aérotechnique in St-Hubert campuses. It is affiliated with the ACCC, and CCAA.

Le Moyne (also known as Ville Le Moyne, formerly known as LeMoyne) is a neighbourhood in Longueuil, Quebec, part of the borough of Le Vieux-Longueuil, and a former city. Le Moyne makes up 2% of the total area of Le Vieux-Longueuil borough and is the only neighbourhood of the borough that was not part of the pre-2002 city of Longueuil. Residents of Le Moyne are called Le Moynois. The municipal electoral district of Le Moyne-Jacques-Cartier corresponds to the territory of Le Moyne, along with a portion from the former city of Longueuil.

Saint-Lambert International High School (previously known as Chambly Academy or Chambly County High School) is a public secondary school, in Saint-Lambert, Quebec, Canada. It is located at 675 Green Street and borders the Club De Golf St-Lambert. It is the only English-language secondary school in Saint Lambert and is part of the Riverside School Board. It offers an International Baccalaureate program, and has had a student population ranging from 400 to 750 students (during a baby boom peak in the early 1970s). The school is currently home to approximately 500 students.

The Charles LeMoyne Hospital (French: Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne) is the major hospital in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. It is located on Taschereau Boulevard in the borough of Greenfield Park opposite the borough of Saint-Hubert and in close proximity to the LeMoyne neighbourhood in the borough of Le Vieux-Longueuil. It also serves neighbouring cities on the south shore of Montreal. A teaching hospital affiliated with Université de Sherbrooke, the hospital is used to train students in medical school, nursing and other multidisciplinary programs.The Charles LeMoyne Hospital is home to 3,000 employees, of which 1,500 are nurses, 500 are healthcare professionals and technicians, 325 are practicing doctors and specialists as well as 180 volunteers. It has an annual budget of over $200 million. It currently has 571 beds. It is also the home to the Montérégie Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre (French: Centre intégré de cancérologie de la Montérégie) which was recently constructed. This was the first phase of a planned 3-phase hospital expansion project.

The Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes College is a high school level education facility located in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. It is a school which is part of the International Baccalaureate. The students attending the college normally refer to it as NDL, Collège Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes being a long name.

Greenfield Park is a former city in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is currently a borough of the city of Longueuil. It covers an area of 4.78 square kilometres (1.85 sq mi), with a population of 16,733 at the 2016 census of Canada. Greenfield Park is the only borough of Longueuil that has an officially bilingual status. It is primarily a post-WWI suburban area. Like the other two boroughs, most of the buildings in Greenfield Park are single-family homes. Nearly all of the land in Greenfield Park is built on, making it Longueuil's most densely populated borough. Greenfield Park is divided into two sections. The older section of the borough is to the west of Taschereau Boulevard near Saint-Lambert, LeMoyne and Brossard, while the newer section is to the east, near the Laflèche neighbourhood. Most of the Greenfield Park's businesses are located along Taschereau Boulevard, the south shore's most important commercial artery. The Charles LeMoyne Hospital, located on the Taschereau Boulevard, is the largest on the south shore.

Montreal-South (French: Montréal-Sud) was a suburb of Montreal located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River founded in 1906. Montréal-Sud was created from land of the Saint-Antoine-de-Longueuil parish. Originally a village in its first five years, Montréal-Sud gained the status of city in 1911. Early in its existence, its population was split between French-speaking Roman Catholics and English-speaking Protestants. This changed by the middle of the century, as the Francophones became the overwhelming majority.The approximate territorial limits of the city were La Fayette Boulevard in the west, Bertrand Street in the south, Joliette Street in the east and St. Lawrence River in the north.Like neighbouring Longueuil, Montréal-Sud was an enclave of the parish Saint-Antoine-de-Longueuil (later known as Ville Jacques-Cartier).
