Kellyville Ridge is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Kellyville Ridge is located 41 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of City of Blacktown. It is part of Greater Western Sydney.

Tallawong railway station, originally known as Cudgegong Road railway station, is a Sydney Metro station near the intersection of Cudgegong and Schofield Roads in Tallawong, New South Wales, Australia. The station is the terminus of the Metro North West Line on the Sydney Metro network. Beyond the station lies the Tallawong depot, where all metro rolling stock is stabled.

Rouse Hill railway station is an elevated Sydney Metro station on Tempus Street in Rouse Hill, New South Wales, Australia. The station serves the Metro North West Line and was built as part of the Sydney Metro Northwest project. Rouse Hill Station is one of two Metro stops in the suburb: the other, Tallawong, is a few kilometres to the west. From 26 May 2019, Rouse Hill Station provides frequent train services to Chatswood. In later years, as the metro network expands, the Government intends to run trains to the Sydney central business district, Bankstown and Marsden Park.

The Royal Oak Inn is a heritage-listed hotel located on the corner of Windsor Road and Commercial Road, in Rouse Hill in The Hills Shire local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was built in 1829. It has also been known as the Queens Arms Inn, and is currently known as the Fiddler Hotel. The property is privately owned and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

White Hart Inn Archaeological Site is a heritage-listed inn and archaeological site at Windsor Road, Beaumont Hills in The Hills Shire local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1827 to . The property is owned by NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, a department of the Government of New South Wales. The site was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 24 August 2018.

Rouse Hill is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Rouse Hill is located in the Hills District, 43 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district and 19 kilometres north-west of the Parramatta central business district. It is in the local government areas of The Hills Shire and City of Blacktown. Rouse Hill Town Centre is at the heart of the suburb, which contains a busy Town Square.

Parklea Correctional Centre, a privately managed Australian maximum and minimum security prison for males, is located at Parklea, in the north-western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales. The facility is operated by MTC Ventia and has a current capacity for 1,350 inmates. The Centre accepts prisoners charged and convicted under New South Wales and/or Commonwealth legislation and incorporates a minimum-security work-release centre for inmates nearing release with a capacity of 120. A Compulsory Drug Treatment Correctional unit is incorporated within the centre.

On 18 November 2011, an early morning fire at Quakers Hill Nursing Home in Sydney, Australia killed eleven elderly residents, seriously injured others and caused the evacuation of up to 100 people. Three people died in the fire, and a further eight residents of the home died later in hospital from their injuries. The fire started in two places and was regarded by police as suspicious. A nurse working in the home, 36-year-old Roger Dean, was arrested and charged with four counts of murder. He was later charged over more subsequent deaths.
