The District No. 9 Schoolhouse is a historic school building at 358 Hoyt Road in Gilford, New Hampshire. Built in 1815 and repeatedly altered to accommodated changing trends in school design, it is the best-preserved of Gilford's surviving district schoolhouses. Now a private summer residence, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Benjamin Rowe House is a historic house museum at 88 Belknap Mountain Road in Gilford, New Hampshire. Probably built in the 1830s, it is one of the town's best-preserved period houses. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The lakeside village of Glendale lies within Gilford's borders.

The John J. Morrill Store is a historic store and Grange hall on Belknap Mountain Road in the central village of Gilford, New Hampshire. Built in the late 1850s, it is a well-preserved example of a period general store with Greek Revival features. The building has also served as the local post office and as a Grange hall. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Gunstock Mountain is the second highest peak in the Belknap Mountains of central New Hampshire with an elevation greater than 2240 feet (683 m). It is located 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Belknap Mountain, the highest point in the range. It is home to the Gunstock Mountain Resort ski area. The ski resort has been written up in national ski magazines for its views of Lake Winnipesaukee. Gunstock Mountain stands within the watershed of the Merrimack River, which drains into the Gulf of Maine in Massachusetts. The east side of the mountain, on which the ski resorted is located, drains into Poorfarm Brook, then into Lake Winnipesaukee, the Winnipesaukee River, and the Merrimack. The west side of the mountain drains into the Gunstock River, then into Lake Winnipesaukee.

Laconia High School (LHS) is a public high school in Laconia, New Hampshire, United States, serving grades 9 through 12. Enrollment in the 2014-15 school year was 626 students. The school's athletic teams are the Sachems. The J. Oliva Huot Technical Center, named for Joseph Oliva Huot, is located on the campus.

WEMJ (1490 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a news/talk format. Licensed to Laconia, New Hampshire, United States, the station is owned by Binnie Media and licensed to WBIN Media Co., Inc. WEMJ features programming from ABC News Radio. WEMJ is known on-air as 107.3 WEMJ (after its translator frequency). It is part of the "Pulse of NH" trimulcast with 107.7 WTPL in the Manchester area and 98.1 WTSN in the Seacoast Region. WEMJ, along with 16 other stations in northern New England formerly owned by Nassau Broadcasting Partners, was purchased at bankruptcy auction by WBIN Media Company, a company controlled by Bill Binnie, on May 22, 2012. Binnie already owned WBIN-TV in Derry and WYCN-CD in Nashua. The deal was completed on November 30, 2012. In March 2016, WEMJ began a simulcast on W297BS (107.3 FM, referred to as "WEMJ-FM" by the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters) and updated its branding to reflect this new over-the-air listening option.WEMJ dropped its news/talk programming on May 23, 2019, becoming a Lakes Region simulcast of Binnie's contemporary hit radio station in Concord, WJYY (105.5 FM). In October 2020, coinciding with the launch of a late morning talk show hosted by former WGIR morning host Jack Heath (which airs on WEMJ, WTPL, and WTSN), WEMJ returned to a news/talk format.

The Busiel-Seeburg Mill is a historic mill building in Laconia, New Hampshire, since converted into an office building known as 1 Mill Plaza. This 3-1/2 story brick structure achieved its present configuration in stages, beginning in 1853, and successively altered and expanded through the rest of the 19th century. The business, established by John W. Busiel in 1846, manufactured knitted hosiery, and was one of the first producers of knitwear to use circular knitting machines invented by Aiken and Peppers. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Mount Rowe, elevation 1,680 feet (510 m), is a mountain located north of Gunstock Mountain in the Belknap Range, Belknap County, New Hampshire, United States. It has been home to multiple alpine ski operations, including the original Gunstock Mountain Resort single chairlift (now removed), the Belknap Ski Jumps, and the defunct Alpine Ridge/Mt. Rowe ski area.

The Belknap-Sulloway Mill, now the Belknap Mill Museum, is a historic mill at 25 Beacon Street East in Laconia, New Hampshire, a city in Belknap County. Built sometime between 1823 and 1828, it is a rare well-preserved example of an early rural textile mill in New England, and was the business around which the city rose. The mill was in active use for the production of textiles until 1969, undergoing some modest alterations as well as the modernization of its power plant. It was opened as a museum in 1991, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
