The Shanghai State Security Bureau (SSSB; Chinese: 上海市国家安全局) is a municipal bureau of the China's Ministry of State Security (MSS) charged with intelligence operations in the country's most populous city. With tens of thousands of employees, it is one of the most aggressive and internationally active units of the MSS, conducting long-term global foreign espionage operations and major cyberespionage campaigns which stretch far beyond the Shanghai metropolis. The bureau acts in concert with the Shanghai Municipal Party Secrecy Committee, and the two represent themselves publicly as one institution, a front called the Shanghai Secrecy Administration Bureau (SSAB, Chinese: 上海市国家保密局).The Shanghai bureau is one of the most prolific MSS units targeting the United States; it also conducts elaborate operations to target and influence the Buddhist community in Asia. The bureau maintains an "immense business empire" of front companies in property development, international shipping and telecommunications, and operates at least 18 subordinate branch offices, one in every administrative division of the city.The headquarters of the SSSB is 1 Ruining Road in the Xuhui District near the Lupu Bridge. The building is bordered on three sides by water, situated at the confluence of the Huangpu river which bisects the entire city, and the Rihui river which serves as the border between the Xuhui and Huangpu districts. The building is a glass high rise office tower with space for 10,000 employees. It is the largest of several large SSSB facilities in the city.

Jiashan Road (Chinese: 嘉善路; pinyin: Jiāshàn Lù) is an interchange station between Lines 9 and 12 of the Shanghai Metro. It is located near the intersection of Zhaojiabang Road and Damuqiao Road. The station came into operation on December 31, 2009.

Dong'an Road (simplified Chinese: 东安路; traditional Chinese: 東安路; pinyin: Dōng'ān Lù) is a station on the Shanghai Metro. The station serves lines 4 and 7. Service began on Line 4 at this station on 31 December 2005, while the interchange with Line 7 opened on 5 December 2009 with the initial section of that line from Shanghai University to Huamu Road.

The Shanghai Expo Mart (Chinese: 上海世博会展中心; pinyin: Shànghǎi shìbóhuì zhǎn zhōngxīn; Shanghainese: Zånhe sypohwe zaen tsonshin), formerly the Africa Joint Pavilion (Chinese: 非洲聯合館), is an exhibition hall near the Huangpu River in Shanghai, China. The hall was originally constructed for Expo 2010 and consists of 21,000 square metres (230,000 sq ft) of indoor area and 3,600 square metres (39,000 sq ft) of outdoor space. The hall underwent renovation after the expo, with renovations finishing in November 2011.

The Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, formerly the independent Shanghai Medical University, is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical schools in China. Clinical medicine of the Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University is consistently ranked among the top three medical schools in China and #90 by the U.S. News & World Report globally.Established in 1927, Shanghai Medical University was merged into Fudan University in April 2000 to become its medical school. On July 27, 2001, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University was established, with Professor Wang Weiping as its first dean, and the original site of Shanghai Medical University was then designated as the Fenglin Campus of Fudan University.

Oasis Skyway Garden Hotel is a skyscraper located at 15 Dapu Road, Luwan, Shanghai, 200023, China. It is 226 m high, has 52 stories and was completed in 2007. It contains 454 hotel rooms and 239 serviced apartments. It is now home to the Pullman Shanghai Skyway Hotel.

The UK pavilion at Expo 2010, colloquially known as the Seed Cathedral, was a sculpture structure built by a nine-member conglomeration of British business and government resources directed by designer Thomas Heatherwick. It referenced the race to save seeds from round the world in banks, and housed 250,000 plant seeds at the end of 60,000 acrylic rods projecting from the walls of the building. The structure stood where it was built, at a cost of £25 million, in Shanghai for the 2010 World Expo and won the BIE gold award for best pavilion design.The UK Pavilion catered to over 100 public and private sector events, hundreds of VIP and dignitary visits and over seven million general public visitors during the 6 months of Expo. The cathedral has now been dismantled, with some rods donated to schools, some donated to the World Expo Museum and some being auctioned for charity.

The Luwan Gymnasium is a basketball arena, in Luwan District, Shanghai, China. The arena is home to the Shanghai Sharks, a member of the Chinese Basketball Association. The facility seats 3,000 people.

Luban Road (simplified Chinese: 鲁班路; traditional Chinese: 魯班路; pinyin: Lǔbān Lù) is a station on Shanghai Metro Line 4. Service began at the station on 29 December 2007.

The Lupu Bridge (simplified Chinese: 卢浦大桥; traditional Chinese: 盧浦大橋; pinyin: Lúpǔ Dàqiáo), named after Luwan District, is a through arch bridge over the Huangpu River in Shanghai, China, connecting the city's Huangpu and Pudong districts. It is the world's third longest steel arch bridge, after the Ping'nan Third Bridge in Guangxi and the Chaotianmen Bridge in Chongqing. The bridge has a total length including approach spans of 3,900 m (12,795 ft) and opened on June 28, 2003. The main bridge structure is 750m long including the two side spans of 100m each, and the main span of 550 metres (1,804 ft) over the Huangpu River is 32 metres (105 ft) longer than the previous record holder for the longest arch bridge, the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayetteville, West Virginia. It cost 2.5 billion yuan (US$302 million), including US$78.04 for the main steel structure alone. It is located adjacent to the former Expo 2010 site and served as the centrepiece of the world exposition in Shanghai.

Dapuqiao (simplified Chinese: 打浦桥; traditional Chinese: 打浦橋; pinyin: Dápǔqiáo) is a station on Line 9 of the Shanghai Metro. The station came into operation on December 31, 2009. It is located beneath the Xuhui Sun Moon Light Center.

Middle Longhua Road (Chinese: 龙华中路), formerly Chuanchang Road, is an interchange station between Line 7 and Line 12 of the Shanghai Metro located in Xuhui District. During construction it was known as Pujiang Nanpu Station. It began operation on 5 December 2009 with the official name Chuanchang Road station. In December 2012, it was officially renamed Middle Longhua Road Station. Line 12 services started on 19 December 2015, at which point it became an interchange station.
