World Square

Barry was a comedy digital radio station broadcasting to the five mainland state capital cities in Australia. The station is owned by Austereo and was the second permanent digital-only station the company has launched, alongside Radar Radio. The station was launched on 16 July 2010. It ceased operation in June 2012.

Latitude (previously known as the "Ernst & Young Tower at Latitude") is a skyscraper in Sydney's CBD, part of the World Square complex bounded by George, Goulburn, Liverpool and Pitt Streets in Sydney, Australia. Designed by Greg Crone, Latitude stands at a height of 222 m (728 ft).

William Blue College of Hospitality Management is an Australian private hospitality college that offers both tertiary education and vocational education and training. The college is a part of an education provider Torrens University Australia, itself part of the Strategic Education, Inc. group. Other Torrens University colleges include: Billy Blue College of Design, CATC Design School, APM College of Business and Communication, Southern School of Natural Therapies, Australian National College of Beauty, Australasian College of Natural Therapies and Jansen Newman Institute. Together these colleges have in excess of 19,000 students enrolled.

The World Tower is a residential skyscraper in Sydney, Australia. Designed by Fender Katsalidis, it stands at a height of 230 m (750 ft), making it the second tallest residential building in the city, surpassed by Greenland Centre. Construction began in 2001 and was completed in 2004. Developed by Meriton, The World Tower was the 2004 Bronze recipient of the Emporis Skyscraper Award, and was briefly Australia's tallest residential building from 2004 to 2006. The World Tower consists of 75 above-ground levels, 10 basement levels, 15 lifts and 701 residential units. Each of the three residential sections of the building has a pool, spa, sauna, gymnasium, games room, and a private 24-seat theatrette. The pool and spa areas on levels 38 and 61 offer 180° views of Sydney. There is also a childcare centre located in the building.Situated at the foot of World Tower is World Square, a shopping complex with a Coles supermarket, several food outlets, and other specialty stores. Public buses stop outside World Square, and it is close to Town Hall and Museum railway stations. Scenes for the 1995 film Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie were shot on the former property of Anthony Hordern & Sons and future site of World Square.

Liverpool Street is a street in the central business district of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. Liverpool Street runs east-west in the southern portion of the central business district and forms the southern boundary of Hyde Park. At Elizabeth Street traffic flows in a westerly direction only towards its western terminus at Darling Harbour. From Elizabeth Street in an easterly direction, traffic flows both east and west where it reaches a major intersection at Whitlam Square before continuing as a minor suburban street through East Sydney and Darlinghurst, terminating at Boundary Street.

The Central Local Court House or Police Law Courts or Central Police Court is a heritage-listed building located at 98 Liverpool Street, in the central business district of Sydney, New South Wales in Australia. Constructed in the Federation Free Classical style based on original designs by Colonial Architect, James Barnet, the building structure was completed in 1892 under the supervision of Barnet's successor, Government Architect, Walter Liberty Vernon. It is also known as Sydney Central Local Court House, Police Law Courts and Central Police Court. The property is owned by the Department of Justice, a department of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. The court house is located in a precinct that includes the Downing Centre, and buildings housing the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court in Sydney. Adjacent to the court house is Brickfield Place, a brick paved courtyard with seating and planter boxes, constructed in 1892, assessed as a good example of urban design for public open space.

Roden Cutler House is a skyscraper in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It consists of 19 floors primarily office/commercial space. Construction finished in 1975 and it is located at 24 Campbell Street, Sydney. The Antenna height is 112m and the structure height is 108m. The building is owned by Ausgrid and the lower floors house the City South substation. The building is named after Sir Roden Cutler, the longest-serving Governor of New South Wales and a Victoria Cross recipient. Roden Cutler won the Victoria Cross in the 1941 Syrian campaign where he was wounded, requiring the amputation of a leg.[1]

St Peter Julian's Church is a Roman Catholic church and shrine of eucharistic adoration in Sydney in the care of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. The church is located at 641 George Street, Haymarket, in the heart of Chinatown. Designed by Terence Daly, it was completed in early 1964, it is named after the congregation's founder, St Peter Julian Eymard, who was canonised in 1962. A religious community of priests and brothers (currently under the leadership of Fr Joe Fernando SSS]) live in the monastery attached to St Peter Julian's Church.

The North Apartments, located at 91 Goulburn Street, Sydney, Australia, were designed by the late architect Harry Seidler. Constructed between 2003–04, the building is oriented with a single façade to the North, facing Goulburn Street. Each of the 49 apartments features a wave-shaped balcony, so as to accommodate outdoor furniture, at its widened part. The balconies are arranged in a vertically staggered pattern so as to maximise the spatial feeling. As a result, the design breaks away from the usual box-like structures associated with 'infill' development. Colour is introduced into the façade by the use of integrally permanent coloured toughened glass on the balconies' end rails and dividing screens. There are a mixture of primary and neutral coloured accents all over the façade, giving the building a lively appearance. The apartments are designed following a split-level planning system, which results in a ceiling height of 2.85 m over the living area and 2.7 m in the raised bedrooms. These raised bedrooms have no windows, and open onto the lounge area. The building contains commercial space on the ground floor, and an indoor lap pool. The foyer of the building features a wall hanging of woven carpet, based on a wall mural in Rose Seidler House, painted by Seidler in 1950.

George Hotel is a heritage-listed former hotel at 631 George Street, Sydney, Australia. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Haymarket Post Office is a heritage-listed former post office at 633–635 George Street, Sydney, City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by E. Henderson and built from 1927 to 1928 by H. W. Thompson Ltd. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The Metro Theatre (commonly the Metro) is a music venue located on George Street, in the city centre of Sydney, Australia. The venue was redeveloped, from two former cinemas, by property developer Leon Fink.The foyer of the Metro, designed by leading Australian stage designer Brian Thomson, features a lightweight plastic replica of the Art Deco crystal chandelier which once hung in Regent Theatre which formerly stood opposite the Metro in George Street. Acts who generally perform at the Metro usually are Heavy Metal music, indie-rock and alternative bands, often of international fame. It was the venue for the now-legendary Sydney concerts in 1995 by Jeff Buckley and a record seven sold out shows in a row over six days in 1996 by You Am I, among many others. It has two separate performance spaces inside the building, the Forum (often simply called the Metro) and the Transit Lounge (which, in January 2007, was re-launched and re-branded as the Lair). Up until 2007 it was not uncommon for both spaces to be used on the same night for different acts, with the larger of the two, the Forum, generally hosting the more famous act. Since the launch of the Lair the space has seldom been used for a public performance, as its primary function was to house MTV Australia's the Lair live music programme. For a brief period in the second half of 2006 the venue was known as the Century Theatre after it went into receivership and was acquired by Century Venues. It was changed back to the Metro Theatre by October 2006. On 16 September 2009 the Metro was rebranded as the Virgin Mobile Metro, after a sponsorship deal had been made. Dappled Cities Fly and the Seabellies both played at the launch night on 29 September 2009.
