Penken

The Roman Catholic Garnet Chapel (also: 'Capella Granata'), known in German as 'Granatkapelle', is situated at the Penken saddle (German: the Penkenjoch) near the Penken. This religious building can be found northeast of an artificial lake and forms part of the community of Finkenberg in the Zillertal (valley). This valley in the district of Schwaz is in the state (German Bundesland) of Tyrol. The chapel belongs to the parish of Finkenberg, therefore to the Deanery of Fuegen-Jenbach and thus to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Innsbruck. The chapel is dedicated to Engelbert Kolland, a friar of the Franciscan Order (OFM), who was beatified on 10 October 1926. Father Kolland was born in Ramsau, a small village in the Zillertal.

The Harakiri is a slope in the ski resort of Mayrhofen Ski Zillertal 3000. It is named after the Japanese vulgar term for seppuku, ritual suicide by samurai. With incline of up to 78%, vertical drop of 375 metres and a length of about 1500 metres, it is the steepest groomed slope in Austria. Thus the slope is steeper than the initial trace of a ski jump. Because of this extreme inclination, the slope can only be maintained with a special secured slope unit.

Finkenberg is a municipality in the Schwaz district in the Austrian state of Tyrol.

The Tuxertal is a valley located in Tyrol, Austria. A side valley of the Zillertal, from which it branches at Mayrhofen, the Tuxertal is about 13 km long and accessible on the Tuxer Straße (Tux Road). From Mayrhofen (630 m (AA)) to Hintertux (1500 m) in the municipality of Tux, the village that gives the valley its name, there is a height difference of about 850 m. The valley ends at Hintertux and the Hintertux Glacier. The Tuxbach, which rises near Hintertux, flows as far as Mayrhofen where it empties into the River Ziller. The five main settlements in the Tuxertal are (from the head of the valley): Hintertux (1,500 m), Madseit (1,385 m), Juns (1360 m), Tux (former Lanersbach) (1,300 m), Vorderlanersbach (1,300 m) and the parish of Finkenberg (840 m). The Tuxertal is the only way of reaching the Hintertux Glacier by means of road and cable lift.

The Rastkogel is a 2,762 metre high, pyramidal, mountain on the main crest of the Tux Alps in the Austrian federal state of Tyrol.
