Friends School of Harford is a co-ed K–8 independent private school guided by Quaker values located in Harford County, Maryland and was under the direction of Head of School, Jonathan Huxtable.Founded in 2005, it originated as a middle school located in the Deer Creek Friends Meeting House in Darlington, Maryland. The school moved in 2008 to The Highlands Commons Building in Street, Maryland, near Bel Air, Maryland. In 2009, the school expanded to include grades one through five. Expansion continued in the summer of 2010 with the addition of a new science lab. In 2012, Friends School of Harford welcomed a new Head of School, Clare Pitz. This change in administration coincided with the move to Friends School of Harford's location in Forest Hill, Maryland. Friends School of Harford is the only Friends school in Harford County, Maryland and is a member of the Friends Council on Education. Consistent with Friends School of Harford's commitment to Quaker values the school periodically sponsors community seminars on parenting and conflict-resolution.The school is supported by private donations, local Friends Meetings, equipment donations from local colleges and other private schools, as well as tuition. The school suspended operations for the 2018-2019 school year and is not accepting students.

Street is a rural unincorporated community in northern Harford County, Maryland, United States.One of the central villages in Street is Highland. The village had a station stop on the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad, at milepost 38.6, which served farms within the area until it ceased passenger service in 1954, then terminated freight service in 1958. The post office for Street, Maryland is located in the village of Highland. The village was once home to Highland High School, which later became Highland Elementary School. Highland Elementary School was shut down when the North Harford Elementary School was opened. The large building has other community purposes now, including the alternative Highlands School, Mason-Dixon Community Service, Highland Senior Center and the Street post office. The Habonim Dror Camp Moshava is also located in Street. The Col. John Streett House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Gladden Farm and Mill Green Historic District were listed in 1993.

North Harford High School is located in Pylesville, Maryland, United States. It is one of the few schools in Harford County, Maryland to have an FFA Chapter, and the only school in Harford County to have a barn with a semi-working farm on campus. North Harford finished undergoing renovations and additions at the beginning of the 2008 school year. Its re-dedication ceremony was held on April 13, 2008, in the new auditorium.

The Geneva Farm Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course located in Northern Harford County, Maryland, USA. The course was established in July 1990 on the site of a former historic farmland, which provided the course with naturally rolling terrain and large mounds. The course features strategic bunkering and water hazards that come into play, offering challenges for golfers of all skill levels. In addition to the course, Geneva Farm also provides an extensive range of facilities, including a driving range that can accommodate even the longest hitters, a practice putting green, and a sizable fleet of golf cars.

Slate Ridge School is a historic school located at Whiteford, Harford County, Maryland. The main block of the building is two stories, constructed of brick with a slate hip roof and a small wooden cupola in the center. It was built in 1912, and designed by the Baltimore architect Otto Simonson. A narrow hyphen containing a stairwell and corridor connects the main block to a similar two-story rectangular block and a one-story wing containing a stage and gymnasium, added just after World War II. It was used until about 1980.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

It encompasses portions of two communities in northern Harford County that were historically associated with slate production during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It contains 140 contributing resources including four vernacular Welsh cottages dating to about 1850. The Whiteford–Cardiff area is noted for its strong Welsh ethnic identity, which is reflected in the architecture of the area.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Broad Creek flows through the district. The historic district designation was established in 1993.

Delta Historic District is a national historic district located at Delta in York County, Pennsylvania. The district includes 137 collective buildings, mostly constructed between 1875 and 1895. The buildings are primarily frame and clapboard structures set upon a slate foundation and topped with slate shingle roof. They are reflective of a number of popular architectural styles including the Greek Revival and Late Victorian style. The use of slate reflects the prominence of that industry on the local economy.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Delta Trestle Bridge, Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad is a historic wooden trestle railroad bridge in Peach Bottom Township, York County, Pennsylvania. It was built about 1875, and measures about 393-foot-long (120 m) overall. It was built by the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad to connect two rises of land divided by a ravine. It is one of only two trestle bridges to remain from the original railroad, the other being the Taylor trestle, in York Township, PA, between Red Lion, PA and Dallastown, PA.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
