Friends School of Harford is a co-ed K–8 independent private school guided by Quaker values located in Harford County, Maryland and was under the direction of Head of School, Jonathan Huxtable.Founded in 2005, it originated as a middle school located in the Deer Creek Friends Meeting House in Darlington, Maryland. The school moved in 2008 to The Highlands Commons Building in Street, Maryland, near Bel Air, Maryland. In 2009, the school expanded to include grades one through five. Expansion continued in the summer of 2010 with the addition of a new science lab. In 2012, Friends School of Harford welcomed a new Head of School, Clare Pitz. This change in administration coincided with the move to Friends School of Harford's location in Forest Hill, Maryland. Friends School of Harford is the only Friends school in Harford County, Maryland and is a member of the Friends Council on Education. Consistent with Friends School of Harford's commitment to Quaker values the school periodically sponsors community seminars on parenting and conflict-resolution.The school is supported by private donations, local Friends Meetings, equipment donations from local colleges and other private schools, as well as tuition. The school suspended operations for the 2018-2019 school year and is not accepting students.

The Geneva Farm Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course located in Northern Harford County, Maryland, USA. The course was established in July 1990 on the site of a former historic farmland, which provided the course with naturally rolling terrain and large mounds. The course features strategic bunkering and water hazards that come into play, offering challenges for golfers of all skill levels. In addition to the course, Geneva Farm also provides an extensive range of facilities, including a driving range that can accommodate even the longest hitters, a practice putting green, and a sizable fleet of golf cars.

It is one of the few schools in Harford County, Maryland to have an FFA Chapter, and the only school in Harford County to have a barn with a semi-working farm on campus. North Harford finished undergoing renovations and additions at the beginning of the 2008 school year. Its re-dedication ceremony was held on April 13, 2008, in the new auditorium.

Gladden Farm, also known as Gladden-Roming Stone House, is a historic home and farm complex located in Street, Maryland. The complex includes three historically-significant structures: a large five-bay rubblestone bank house with Federal detailing, a one-story rubblestone spring house, and a one-story board-and-batten frame shop. The first two structures were built around 1820, the latter from the mid-19th century. Some interior details were installed around 1945 from a demolished house on Franklin Street in Baltimore, including a mantel, built-in cabinets, and bookcases. The main room's north wall is paneled with English oak removed from another demolished Baltimore dwelling. The home is named for the locally prominent Gladden family, who were leading and innovative farmers, who saw to it that the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad was built through this party of the county, and established a station stop near their farm at The Rocks.The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The state park's 1,060 acres (430 ha) preserve the geologic formation known as the King and Queen's Seat and other features in three non-contiguous areas near the junction of Maryland Route 24 and Maryland Route 165. Slate Ridge School is a historic school located at Whiteford, Harford County, Maryland. The main block of the building is two stories, constructed of brick with a slate hip roof and a small wooden cupola in the center. It was built in 1912, and designed by the Baltimore architect Otto Simonson. A narrow hyphen containing a stairwell and corridor connects the main block to a similar two-story rectangular block and a one-story wing containing a stage and gymnasium, added just after World War II. It was used until about 1980.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Whiteford–Cardiff Historic District is a national historic district at Cardiff and Whiteford, Harford County, Maryland, United States. It encompasses portions of two communities in northern Harford County that were historically associated with slate production during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It contains 140 contributing resources including four vernacular Welsh cottages dating to about 1850. The Whiteford–Cardiff area is noted for its strong Welsh ethnic identity, which is reflected in the architecture of the area.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
