The Sandy and Beaver Canal was a canal and lock transportation system which ran seventy-three miles from the Ohio and Erie Canal at Bolivar, Ohio, to the Ohio River at Glasgow, Pennsylvania. It was chartered in 1828 and completed twenty years later. It ceased operations in 1852.

St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, also known as St. Mary's of Morges ( MOR-jez)) is a Roman Catholic church located in the unincorporated community of Morges in Rose Township, Carroll County, Ohio, United States. A part of the Diocese of Steubenville, it was founded in 1834 and re-established in 1948; its current building was built in 1851 and renovated in 1979. The altar was crafted in Europe and shipped to the parish in the late 19th century. The stained-glass windows, donated by parishioners in the early 1900s, were also part of the 1979 restoration, which included refinishing the altar, repainting statuary and walls, and installing new pews. The church is built of brick with a stone foundation. The bricks were manufactured on premises. In 1977, the church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance, along with a related house on the same property.

Seven Ranges Terminus is a stone surveying marker near Magnolia, Ohio that marks the completion in 1786 of the first step in opening the lands northwest of the Ohio River to sale and settlement by Americans. This survey marked the first application of the rectangular plan for subdividing land in the United States, which was to be widely used in nearly all later surveys of western lands in the U.S.

Lake Mohawk is a private reservoir located about 1.5 mi (2.4 km) south of Malvern, Ohio, USA and 2.5 mi (4.0 km) east of Waynesburg, Ohio. It resides in Brown Township and Harrison Township. The lake is relatively small, being a private lake containing 0.7922 sq mi (2.052 km2) of water with a maximum depth of 30 ft (9.1 m). There is only one place to put in boats, however, there are 13 community access docks that can hold boats. The lake is formed by Lake Mohawk Dam across Middle Run, a tributary of Sandy Creek. The lake is fed by a series of springs and rain water runoff.
