The college is owned by the Rosedale Network of Churches, a coalition of roughly 120 widely scattered churches within the Mennonite family of faith, and united by a evangelical-Anabaptist theology.

Bigelow Bridge (regionally known as Axe Handle Road Bridge) is one of six historic covered bridges in Union County, Ohio. It is located at 40°06′58″N 83°25′30″W, on Axe Handle Road just north of Ohio State Route 161 between Irwin and Chuckery, and crosses over the Little Darby Creek. The wooden truss bridge was built in 1873 by Reuben Partridge, and named for Eliphas Bigelow, a nearby resident. It was refurbished including the addition of internal steel supports in 1990, and repainted in July 2008.In November 2010, a historical marker was dedicated on the site by the Ohio Historical Society, honoring Bigelow Bridge and the surrounding Darby Plains region.

Elmwood Place is a historic farmstead in the southwestern corner of Union County, Ohio, United States. Located along State Route 161 near the community of Irwin, the farmstead comprises six different buildings spread out over an area of 9 acres (3.6 ha).In 1866, the property where Elmwood Place sits — then open fields — was purchased by James Fullington. One of Union County's most prominent landholders, Fullington soon began construction of the present farm buildings. First to be completed was the farmhouse, finished in 1868; a carriage house and a large barn were completed in 1870, and the remaining buildings — two small frame sheds and a cottage for tenants, which was moved from its original location — were all erected by 1877.The farmhouse at Elmwood Place is a large brick building with a porch. It was constructed with many Italianate details, such as the cornices, the arched windows and doors, and many interior elements. Because both the house and the other buildings remain in a fine state of preservation, Elmwood Place has been named one of Union County's best examples of 19th-century rural architecture. In recognition of its status, the farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in late 1979; it is one of seven places in the county to have been recognized.

Irwin is an unincorporated community in southwestern Union Township, Union County, Ohio, United States. It is located at 40°07′21″N 83°29′22″W, at the intersection of Ohio State Route 4 and 161. Irwin has a post office which serves the surrounding area, including the community of Rosedale.

The Reed Bridge, near Marysville, Ohio, was a Partridge truss covered bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.It was a single-span wooden bridge which spanned Big Darby Creek.It was built by Reuben Partridge in 1884 and spanned over 150 feet (46 m). It was the longest covered bridge in Union County. It was located 3.5 miles south of Marysville off State Route 38 in Darby Township, Union County, Ohio. It was bypassed by Route 38 in the 1960s. The bridge collapsed on August 19, 1993.

It lies at the intersection of State Route 38 with Orchard Road, midway between the villages of Milford Center and Unionville Center. At Bridgeport, Buck Run meets the Big Darby Creek,: 57  which meets the Scioto River at Circleville.: 68  It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Marysville, the county seat of Union County.: 57

Tradersville is an unincorporated community in Somerford Township, Madison County, Ohio, United States. It is located at 39°59′59″N 83°29′55″W.As of 1875, Tradersville contained one dry goods and grocery store, a post office, and a blacksmith shop.The Tradersville Post office was established on March 2, 1848 and discontinued on January 19, 1883. It was then reestablished on January 24, 1900, and discontinued yet again on August 31, 1901. The mail service is now sent through the London branch.
