U.S. Route 22 passes through the community, leading southwest 3 miles (5 km) to Hollidaysburg and northeast 4 miles (6 km) to Canoe Creek. Geeseytown is on the north side of the valley of the Frankstown Branch Juniata River, one of the main headwater branches of the Juniata River which leads east to the Susquehanna.

As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,868 residents.

The Frankstown Branch Juniata River is a 46.0-mile-long (74.0 km) tributary of the Juniata River in Blair and Huntingdon counties, Pennsylvania, in the United States.The headwater tributaries of the Frankstown Branch rise on the slopes of the Allegheny Front south of Altoona. The Frankstown Branch forms at the village of Claysburg by the confluence of Beaverdam Creek and South Poplar Run, then flows north along the western base of Dunning Mountain. Passing just east of Hollidaysburg, the river turns east briefly at Frankstown before heading northeast along the western base of Lock Mountain. Turning southeast at Point View, the river breaks through the mountain in a water gap and passes Williamsburg, then turns north again, now against the western base of Tussey Mountain. At Water Street, the river again turns east to break through a water gap, then passes the borough of Alexandria before joining the Little Juniata River to form the main stem of the Juniata River. The Warrior Ridge Dam and Hydroelectric Plant is located on the Frankstown Branch in Logan Township and Porter Township in Huntingdon County.

It is bordered to the south by the borough of Hollidaysburg, the county seat, and it is 5 miles (8 km) south of Altoona, the largest city in the county.

Linds Crossing is a census-designated place (CDP) in Blair County, Pennsylvania, United States. Comprising the unincorporated communities of Linds Crossing and Upper Reese, it was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The CDP is east of the center of Blair County, at the center of Frankstown Township. It sits on the north side of the Frankstown Branch of the Juniata River, approximately 4 miles (6 km) east of Hollidaysburg. The CDP is reached by Juniata Valley Road from U.S. Route 22 in Geeseytown; Juniata Valley Road continues east past Reese back to US 22 at Canoe Creek.

Peoples Natural Gas Field is a 7,210-seat baseball-only stadium in Altoona, Pennsylvania, that opened in 1999. It is the home ballpark of the Eastern League's Altoona Curve Minor League Baseball team.

Skyliner is a wooden roller coaster located at Lakemont Park in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It first opened in 1960 at New York's Roseland Park, and was John C. Allen's first full-size coaster design. Roseland closed in 1985, and following the success Knoebels had in relocating wooden coaster Phoenix, Lakemont quickly followed suit, and the Skyliner reopened at its new home in 1987. The Skyliner operates a single train, with three cars, which have room for up to 18 adults. The ride's train uses Buzz bars. The Skyliner's train is painted with the Minor League baseball team Altoona Curve's team logo and colors. The phrase "GO CURVE" is also on the train. The Altoona Curve's baseball stadium is adjacent to Lakemont Park, with right field situated up against Skyliner. It is an ACE Coaster Classic.

Lakemont Park is an amusement park located in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It houses the world's oldest-surviving roller coaster, the Leap-The-Dips. On June 19, 1996, the roller coaster was added to the list of National Historic Landmarks by the National Park Service. The park opened in 1894 as a trolley park and became an amusement park in summer 1899. It is one of only thirteen trolley parks still operating, and the 8th-oldest amusement park in the United States. The park was owned by the Boyer Candy Company from May 23, 1986, until July 1, 1988, when it was called Boyertown USA. The park was closed from 2017 to 2018, but re-opened in summer 2019. The park is located next to Peoples Natural Gas Field, home of the Altoona Curve Minor League Baseball team. Lakemont Park is also known for its 51-acre drive-through holiday light display, Holiday Lights on the Lake.

Toboggan was a steel roller coaster located at Lakemont Park in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It was a portable steel coaster built by Chance Rides, one of many Toboggan installations. This specific one had previously traveled in Florida with Deggeller Shows.
