Ainsworth Field is a 3,000 seat baseball stadium located in Erie, Pennsylvania. It hosted the Erie Sailors and other Erie-based minor league teams between 1928 and 1994. In 1995, it was made obsolete for professional use by the opening of UPMC Park. It was refurbished in 2004 and is currently used for high school and other amateur baseball games.

Originally named Central High School, it was the result of the merger of Academy High School and Technical Memorial High School after the conclusion of the 1992–1993 academic year when Academy closed. Around 1994, Central was renamed Central Tech. The attendance was roughly 1,000 students, and offered 21 Career and Technical courses. The school's mascot was a Falcon. It was the Erie School District's regional vocational-technical school before it was renamed Erie High School, after the merger of Strong Vincent High School and East High School in 2017. In 2017, Central Tech High School was renamed Erie High School (Pennsylvania) when the School District of the City of Erie consolidated all of its high schools—with the exception of Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy.

The Erie Zoo (formally Erie Zoological Park and Botanical Garden of Northwestern Pennsylvania), is a zoological park in Erie, Pennsylvania. It is located on 15 acres (6.1 ha) of land in Glenwood Park, just off West 38th Street between Cherry Street and Glenwood Park Avenue. The zoo has more than 400 animals, while the botanical gardens and greenhouse have over 600 species of plants from around the world. The zoo, which operates from March to November, attracts more than 400,000 annual visitors.The Erie Zoo was a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) until 2021.

Lake Erie Arboretum is a young arboretum located within Frontier Park, at the intersection of West 8th Street and Bayfront Parkway, Erie, Pennsylvania, United States. It is open to the public daily free of charge. The arboretum was proposed in 1997 and the first tree was planted there in 1998. It now contains over 300 young trees representing some 225 tree varieties. New trees are still being added.Some of the tree specimens represented in the arboretum include alder, catalpa, dogwood, douglas-fir, ginkgo, hawthorn, shagbark hickory, linden, honey locust, maple, scarlet oak, Russian olive, tulip-tree, black walnut, and corkscrew willow.
