Erie County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is the northernmost county in Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 270,876. Its county seat is Erie. The county was created in 1800 and later organized in 1803.Erie County comprises the Erie–Meadville combined statistical area.

Central Tech School was a high school in Erie, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Originally named Central High School, it was the result of the merger of Academy High School and Technical Memorial High School after the conclusion of the 1992–1993 academic year when Academy closed. Around 1994, Central was renamed Central Tech. The attendance was roughly 1,000 students, and offered 21 Career and Technical courses. The school's mascot was a Falcon. It was the Erie School District's regional vocational-technical school before it was renamed Erie High School, after the merger of Strong Vincent High School and East High School in 2017. In 2017, Central Tech High School was renamed Erie High School (Pennsylvania) when the School District of the City of Erie consolidated all of its high schools—with the exception of Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy.

Erie High School is a high school in Erie, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Formerly called Central Tech High School, it was renamed in 2017 after the Erie City School District converted two of the other high schools, Strong Vincent High School and East High School, into middle schools.The first Erie High School opened in 1866, before being renamed Central High School in 1920.Erie High School celebrated its first graduating class in 2018, about 400 out of a total of 2,278 students.

Lake Erie Arboretum is a young arboretum located within Frontier Park, at the intersection of West 8th Street and Bayfront Parkway, Erie, Pennsylvania, United States. It is open to the public daily free of charge. The arboretum was proposed in 1997 and the first tree was planted there in 1998. It now contains over 300 young trees representing some 225 tree varieties. New trees are still being added.Some of the tree specimens represented in the arboretum include alder, catalpa, dogwood, douglas-fir, ginkgo, hawthorn, shagbark hickory, linden, honey locust, maple, scarlet oak, Russian olive, tulip-tree, black walnut, and corkscrew willow.
