North Christian Church

Columbus North High School (CNHS) is one of the public high schools located in Columbus, Indiana. It is part of the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC). Columbus North High School was previously known as Columbus High School. It was renamed Columbus North High School in 1973 upon the founding of Columbus East High School.

The McKinley School, also known as North Side School, is a historic school building located at Seventeenth St. and Home Ave., in Columbus, Indiana. It was designed by architect Charles Franklin Sparrell and built in 1892. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay, Richardsonian Romanesque style red brick building with a limestone base and hipped roof. It measures 73 feet wide and 38 feet deep. An addition was erected in 1942, and measures approximately 127 feet wide and 38 feet deep.: 2 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The relatively small city has provided a unique place for noted Modern architecture and public art, commissioning numerous works since the mid-20th century; the annual program Exhibit Columbus celebrates this legacy. Located about 40 mi (64 km) south of Indianapolis, on the east fork of the White River, it is the state's 20th-largest city. Hamilton Community Center & Ice Arena, formerly named Hamilton Ice Arena, is a year-round indoor arena and recreational sport facility in Columbus, Indiana. It features one NHL size sheet of ice for hockey, figure skating, speed skating, broomball, and open skating and one studio size sheet of ice, totalling 17,000 square feet (1,600 m2) of ice. Originally an outdoor facility, Hamilton Ice Arena was designed by Harry Weese and built in 1958. The building is chalet style, with coarse materials and a triple-beamed roof. In 1975, a continuation of the structures was added to enclose and expand the skating area to a regulation size hockey rink and adjoining practice area. Skaters from beginners to competitive enjoy this top-notch facility. In 2015, Hamilton was renovated to restore some of the original components in a $2.8 million project.Hamilton Community Center & Ice Arena is currently the home rink for the Columbus Icemen high school hockey team and the Columbus Flames youth hockey teams. Additionally, Lincoln Center Skate Club, Full Throttle Speedskating, Columbus Broomball Association, and Columbus Parks and Recreation use the facility. Hockey Hall of Fame inductees Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, and Bobby Hull have all made visits to Hamilton.

Columbus Regional Health (CRH) is a regional health care system located in Columbus, Indiana. The health system's primary location, Columbus Regional Hospital, was founded as Bartholomew County Hospital in 1917 and later renamed in 1992. In the fall of 2011, the organization introduced Columbus Regional Health as the new name for the hospital and health system. Columbus Regional Health serves a 10-county region in southeastern Indiana. The hospital has 1,650 employees and over 225 physicians providing emergency and surgical services and comprehensive care in numerous specialty areas. 48th Vice president of United States Mike Pence was born in Bartholomew County Hospital on 7 June 1959

Columbus Historic District is a national historic district located at Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana. It encompasses 574 contributing buildings and 1 contributing sites in the central business district and surrounding residential areas of Columbus. It was developed between about 1850 and 1930, and includes notable examples of Federal and Italianate style architecture. A number of commercial buildings feature locally manufactured cast iron and pressed metal components. Located in the district are the separately listed Bartholomew County Courthouse, Columbus City Hall, and First Christian Church. Other notable buildings include the First National Bank, The Crump Theatre (1889), Reo Theater, Ulrich Bakery (c. 1850), Samuel Harris House (1853), Keller House (1860), Old Post Office (1910), Franklin Building (c. 1870), Gent Mill (c. 1875), First United Presbyterian Church (1871-1885), Irwin Block (c. 1890), Irwin Home and Gardens (1864, 1910), and St. Batholomew's Roman Catholic Church (1891).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Cummins Corporate Office Building in Columbus, Indiana is a modernist office building designed by Kevin Roche. Constructed in 1983, the building serves as the corporate headquarters of the Cummins engine company. It was constructed on an old railroad yard and is unique for being built around the Cerealine Building, which was Cummins' first factory building.
