Armstrong Creek is a 16.5-mile-long (26.6 km) tributary of the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania in the United States.The creek rises on Berry Mountain east of Elizabethville and flows generally southwest. Armstrong Creek joins the Susquehanna River on the north side of Halifax.Armstong Creek was named for John Armstrong, Sr., who led the Kittanning Expedition in the French and Indian War.

Legislative Route 1 Sycamore Allee is a historic roadway landscape in Halifax Township and Reed Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It consists of 314 sycamore trees planted along Legislative Route 1. They are located along both sides of the road south of Halifax and on the east side of the road north of Halifax. Approximately 536 trees were originally planted in 1922.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Halifax is a borough in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, United States. Halifax was incorporated as a borough on May 29, 1785. It is situated at the confluence of Armstrong Creek and the Susquehanna River. The population was 795 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fort Halifax was located along the Susquehanna River near the present borough. It was a temporary stronghold for the Pennsylvania colonial militia from 1756 to 1757, during the French and Indian War. Prior to settlement by Europeans the area was inhabited by North American Indians, presumably Susquehannocks, evidenced by frequent unearthing of tools and arrowheads by local residents and farmers. Just outside the borough of Halifax lies the Clemson Island Prehistoric District, on Clemson Island which falls under the jurisdiction of Halifax Township.

Halifax Area High School is a suburban, public secondary school located at 3940 Peters Mountain Road, Halifax, Halifax Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1958. It is the sole high school operated by the Halifax Area School District. As of the 2017–2018 school year, enrollment was 295 pupils in 9th through 12th grades.

Clemson Island Prehistoric District is a historic archaeological site and national historic district located at Halifax Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It is a series of three spatially discrete loci. They constitute a transitional Middle Woodland - Late Woodland (c. 900-1100 A.D.) earthwork mound and associated village. There is evidence of occupation from the Early Archaic period (c. 6,900 B.C.) to the 18th century. The mound was excavated in May and June 1929.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. The 123-acre island is accessible only by boat. It has been owned by the state of Pennsylvania since 1965 and managed as a wildlife preserve and improvement area.

The area began as a Post Office and is named for a Quaker family from York County who settled near the mouth of Powells Creek around 1760.
