Albert Park/Radisson Heights

Franklin station is a CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It serves the Northeast Line (Route 202) and opened on April 27, 1985, as part of the original route. The station is located in the median of Memorial Drive, just west of the intersection with 28 Street SE. The station is 4.7 km (2.92 mi) from the City Hall Interlocking. Pedestrian bridges connect the station to either side of Memorial Drive. Stairs, escalators, as well as an elevator provide access down to the center-loading platform. The station serves (Albert Park/Radisson Heights) to the south and industrial areas to the north. 578 parking spaces are available for commuters. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate 4-car trains by the end of 2014, all 3-car platforms are being extended. Franklin station also had new furnishings installed, in addition to a platform extension. Construction was completed in the late Summer/Fall of 2013.In 2005, the station registered an average transit of 4,700 boardings per weekday.

Albert Park is a former village in Alberta, Canada that is now within the City of Calgary. Its village status ceased after just over a year upon amalgamating with nearby Forest Lawn to the east.

Southview is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by 17 Avenue SE to the north, 36 Street SE to the east, 26 Avenue SE to the south and the Bow River to the west. Southview was established in 1950, being the last community to develop inside the Greater Forest Lawn Area and is part of the International Avenue Business Revitalization Zone. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 9 councillor.

Marlborough Mall is a shopping mall located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Opened in November 1971, the mall has expanded several times and today includes approximately 100 stores and services, and encompasses over 584,000 square feet. The mall also featured a Safeway until the 1990s, when the store moved to its own location west of 36th Street.The current anchor store is Wal-Mart, as Sears closed its doors in March 2017.

Max Bell Centre (commonly Max Bell Arena) is an ice hockey arena in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in the community of Radisson Heights. It seats 2,121 for hockey, with a standing room capacity of over 3,000. It is named after Max Bell, a philanthropist who was a prominent businessman in Calgary. It hosted curling and short-track speed skating events at the 1988 Winter Olympics, both demonstration events. Presently, the arena is home to the Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and the primary facility for the Northeast Calgary Athletic Association's minor hockey teams. The arena also hosts Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League games. Late December, it serves as the primary venue for the Mac's AAA midget hockey tournament. It is home to the Mac's Tourney's "Wall of Fame" featuring every tournament alumni who has gone on to play in the National Hockey League. In 2007, the arena completed construction to add a second sheet of ice as the city of Calgary attempts to keep up with demand for ice-time in a rapidly growing city. Max Bell Arena 1 in to which the Canucks play was renamed to the Ken Bracko Arena in 2017 as a tribute to Ken Bracko the founder of the Midget AAA World Invitational Tournament (formerly the Mac's Midget Tournament) as well as the 18U Alberta Elite Hockey league (AEHL), Bracko also served as president of the Canucks for 32 years until his death in 2015. In 2022, the city of Calgary completed $14 million in renovations on the arena.

The station is located in the median of 36 Street NE, located near its intersection with 8 Avenue NE/Marlborough Drive NE. The station is 6.5 km (4.0 mi) from the City Hall Interlocking and is located near Calgary's Marlborough neighborhood and also serves nearby businesses along 36 Street NE, including Marlborough Mall. Pedestrian overpasses connect the station to both sides of 36 Street NE. Stairs, escalators, as well as an elevator provide access down to the center-loading platform. 485 spaces of the mall facility are now owned by Calgary Transit and are designated for park-and-ride service. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate 4-car trains by the end of 2014, all 3-car platforms have been extended. Marlborough station saw new furnishings in addition to a platform extension. Construction started in the late Summer of 2013, and was finished in January 2014. In 2005, the station registered an average transit of 19,600 boardings per weekday, the busiest station in the system other than the downtown platforms.

Barlow/Max Bell station is a CTrain light rail station in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It serves the Northeast Line (Route 202). It opened on April 27, 1985, as part of the original Northeast line. The station is located in the median of Memorial Drive Southeast, near the intersection with 19 Street Northeast. The station is 3.9 km from the City Hall Interlocking. The station serves areas located along Barlow Trail, such as Mayland with a 50 space parking lot available for commuters and near the Max Bell Centre arena. The station's centre-loading (island) platform is accessed via ramps from a pedestrian tunnel under Memorial Drive. Barlow/Max Bell and Zoo are the only stations in the system that are constructed this way. As part of Calgary Transit's plan to operate 4-car trains by the end of 2014, all 3-car platforms were extended, and Barlow/Max Bell station also received new furnishings in addition to a platform extension. Construction took place in 2014. In 2005, the station registered an average transit of 1,600 boardings per weekday.

Calgary-East (formally styled Calgary East) is a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada. The district is mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. Calgary-East has existed twice, the first incarnation was created from Calgary North East in the redistribution of 1963. The riding was abolished in 1971 when it became Calgary-McCall. The return of Calgary-East happened in the 1993 boundary redistribution when Calgary-Forest Lawn and half of Calgary-Millican were merged. This riding covers the central north east portion of Calgary and contains the neighbourhoods of Vista Heights, Rundle, Marlborough and Mayland Heights. Three MLAs have held this riding to date. The first Calgary East was represented by Social Credit MLA Albert Ludwig and the second Calgary-East solidly supported Progressive Conservative candidate Moe Amery, until the 2015 Alberta election when the riding was won by NDP candidate Robyn Luff.

Forest Lawn is a neighbourhood and former town in the southeast quadrant of the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The neighbourhood is bound by 26 Avenue SE to the south, 36 Street SE to the west, 8 Avenue SE to the north and portions of 52 Street SE and 48 Street SE to the east. The former town comprises the entire current Forest Lawn neighbourhood as well as portions of Southview and Albert Park/Radisson Heights to the west, and portions of Penbrooke Meadows and Forest Lawn Industrial to the east. Both the neighbourhood and the former town are bisected by the multicultural 17 Avenue SE. Forest Lawn has an area redevelopment plan in place and is part of the International Avenue Business Revitalization Zone. The community is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 9 councillor. On a federal level, Forest Lawn falls in the electoral district of Calgary Forest Lawn and is currently represented in the House of Commons by MP Jasraj Hallan.

Forest Lawn High School is a high school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in the southeast community of Forest Lawn. The senior high school has sports teams, who are known as the Titans, drama productions, dance, band, and choir. The school is located on 44th street, and is near Ernest Morrow Junior High, Jack James Senior High, Bob Bahan Memorial Pool, and Ernie Star Arena. Forest Lawn serves the communities of Abbeydale, Albert Park, Applewood Park, Dover, Erin Woods, Forest Heights, Forest Lawn, Marlborough, Marlborough Park, Penbrooke Meadows, Pineridge, Radisson Heights, Red Carpet/Mountview Mobile Home Park, Rundle, Southview, Temple, and Whitehorn.
