Hodges Drive

Heathridge is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located 33 kilometres (21 mi) south of Yanchep within the City of Joondalup.

Shenton Avenue is an east-west distributor road in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Joondalup. The road primarily links Joondalup's coastal suburbs with the Joondalup central business district, which it passes through. It is also an entrance to the Mitchell Freeway.A portion of Shenton Avenue passes through the main centre of the city of Joondalup, providing quick access to Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City and Joondalup Health Campus. Outside the city centre, Shenton Avenue provides direct access to Currambine Marketplace and Lake Joondalup Baptist College.

Ocean Reef Senior High School is an independent Public high school, located in Ocean Reef, 27 kilometres (17 mi) north of Perth, Western Australia. Opened in 1983, the school's catchment area covered the northwestern part of the City of Joondalup and provides an education for approximately 1,300 students from Year 7 and Year 12.

Connolly is a northern suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Joondalup adjacent to Joondalup's central business district. It was built in the late 1980s as a golf course estate. Its eastern border backs onto the Mitchell Freeway. Many homes feature on the edges of Connolly but the homes bordering the golf course are generally larger and more affluent. The suburb was named in honour of John Connolly who held land in the area in 1838. Connolly was a private in the 63rd Regiment who arrived in the colony in 1829 and who farmed at Upper Swan and Bindoon after being discharged in 1834.

Ocean Reef is a suburb in northern Perth, Western Australia. It is located within the City of Joondalup. The name was coined by developers in the 1970s from the line of a reef visible several kilometres offshore. The name was formally adopted in 1974, replacing the prior name of Beaumaris, a name still retained by one of the shopping centres and one primary school. The suburb is divided in two by Hodges Drive, with the development to the south often referred to as 'old' Ocean Reef (there are only a few years between the two). The boat harbour sits on this midway point at the western end of Hodges Drive, and there is a shopping centre in each end of the suburb - Beaumaris Shopping Centre in the north and Ocean Reef Shopping Centre to the south. Roadworks have recently been completed to extend the foreshore road from Hodges Drive (south) to Shenton Ave (north), extending the 'Sunset Coast' drive into the adjacent suburb of Iluka. Located some 8 km north of the popular Hillarys Boat Harbour, the Ocean Reef Boat Harbour provides a public launching ramp for boats and a small fishing harbour. During recent years the City of Joondalup has prepared concept plans for the development of a world class recreational, residential, boating and tourism marina at the Ocean Reef Boat Harbour site (Ocean Reef Marina). The proposed development encapsulates high levels of environmental sustainability and community amenity. In 2009 the City of Joondalup asked the people of Ocean Reef and the surrounding suburbs what they thought of the proposed development. Out of a total of 11,728 survey respondents, an overwhelming majority - 93.9% - were in favour of developing the site and 95.6% approved of the concept plan. The Council has endorsed proceeding with the preparation of the necessary Business Case and Structure Plan for government approval. Ocean Reef is served by three primary schools (Beaumaris Primary, St Simon Peter Catholic Primary, and Ocean Reef Primary). A dune walkway and cycle path hugs the coast from south to north, offering access to several small beaches, picnic areas, rest stops, and access paths into the suburb itself. A large protected dune area which is at times around 400 metres wide separates the houses from the Indian Ocean.

Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City is a major shopping centre located in Joondalup, a suburb in the north of Perth. It is adjacent to the Joondalup railway station, and is currently the third largest shopping centre in Western Australia after Westfield Carousel and Karrinyup Shopping Centre. The centre contains three major Australian supermarkets, Woolworths, Coles and Aldi, three major discount department stores, Big W, Kmart and Target, and the department store Myer.

Belridge Secondary College is a comprehensive independent public co-educational high day school, located in Beldon, 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi) south of Joondalup in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. Opening in 1990 as the Belridge Senior High School, the school's catchment area covers much of the northern part of the City of Joondalup. As of 2022, the school had an enrolment of approximately 1,143 students between Year 7 and Year 12. Belridge Secondary College offers specialist programs including the Academic Extension Program (for gifted and talented students from Year 7-10), the BSC Cricket Academy, the BSC Fashion & Design program (WA Department of Education approved Specialist Programs), and the BSC Netball Academy.

Edith Cowan University (ECU) is a public university in Western Australia. It is named in honour of the first woman to be elected to an Australian parliament, Edith Cowan, and is the only Australian university named after a woman. Gaining university status in 1991, it was formed from an amalgamation of tertiary colleges with a history dating back to 1902 when the Claremont Teachers College was established, making it the modern descendant of the first tertiary institution in Western Australia.The university offers more than 300 courses across two Perth metropolitan campuses, in Joondalup and Mount Lawley, and a regional campus in Bunbury, 200 kilometres (120 mi) south of Perth; many courses are also offered for study online. Additionally, the university has partnerships with several education institutions to conduct courses and programs offshore. In 2020, the university enrolled over 31,000 students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, approximately 7,000 of whom were international students.Its divisions include the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), a performing arts training academy; the School of Nursing and Midwifery, which offers a large undergraduate nursing program; the School of Education which offers a wide range of secondary teaching specialisations; and the Western Australian Screen Academy.
