St Mary's Church, Bramall Lane is a Church of England parish church in the City of Sheffield, England.

192 Shoreham Street in Sheffield, England, is a building with striking architectural design. It has been identified by The Atlantic as one of 2012's most interesting buildings and received an RIBA award in 2013. The £1 million renovation designed by Project Orange features an angular postmodern addition on top of a brick warehouse on the lower floor. The original part of the building was converted to be used as a bar/restaurant and had a steel structure added to support the weight of the rooftop offices.

Bramall Lane is a football stadium in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, which is the home of Sheffield United. The stadium was originally a cricket ground, built on a road named after the Bramall family of file and graver manufacturers. The Bramalls owned The Old White House, on the corner of Bramall Lane and Cherry Street, and the Sheaf House, now a pub, that still stands at the top of Bramall Lane. It was the largest stadium in Sheffield in the 19th century, and hosted the city's most significant matches, including the final of the world's first football tournament, first floodlit match and several matches between the Sheffield and London Football Associations that led to the unification of their respective rules. It was also used by Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield FC. It has been the home of Sheffield United since the club's establishment in 1889. It is the oldest major stadium in the world still hosting professional association football matches.Bramall Lane is one of only two grounds (the other being the Oval) which has hosted England football internationals (five games before 1930), an England Test cricket match (in 1902, against Australia) and an FA Cup Final (the 1912 replay, in which Barnsley beat West Bromwich Albion 1–0). It also regularly hosted FA Cup semi-finals and replays between 1889 and 1938. In 2022, it hosted UEFA Women's Euro 2022 matches. The ground has also hosted rugby league games for the Sheffield Eagles, as well as for the delayed 2021 Rugby League World Cup in 2022. The ground also hosted a Billy Graham revival meeting in 1985, rock concerts by Bruce Springsteen in 1988, a friendly match for the 150th anniversary of Sheffield FC when they played Inter Milan in 2007, a Travis Pastrana Motor cross event in 2016, an IBF Welterweight title boxing match featuring Sheffield United fan Kell Brook in 2017, the Women's League Cup final and a Rod Stewart concert in 2019, and Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe rock concerts in 2023. The stadium has also been used to host England men's and women's senior and youth teams in friendly and competitive matches. The record attendance at the ground is 68,287, set during an FA Cup fifth round tie between Sheffield United and Leeds United on 15 February 1936. The ground was extensively renovated in the wake of the Taylor Report and has an all-seated capacity of 32,050.

Sheffield United Football Club is a professional football club in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, which competes in the EFL Championship. They are nicknamed "the Blades" due to Sheffield's history of cutlery production. The team have played home games at Bramall Lane since their formation. For most of the club's history, United have played in red and white striped shirts with black shorts. Their main rivals are Sheffield Wednesday, with whom they contest the Steel City derby. The club was formed as an offshoot of Sheffield United Cricket Club in 1889. Following strong performances in the Midland League and Northern League, they were invited to become founder members of the Football League Second Division in 1892. They won promotion to the First Division at the end of the 1892–93 season and went on to be crowned English football champions in 1897–98. United went on to win the FA Cup on four occasions: 1899, 1902, 1915 and 1925; and were beaten finalists in 1901. They spent 41 years in the top-flight before being relegated in 1934. United finished as FA Cup runners-up in 1936 and were promoted as runners-up of the Second Division in 1938–39. United won the Second Division title in 1952–53, following relegation in 1949. They spent the next three decades between the First and Second Divisions, winning promotions in 1960–61 and 1970–71 after relegations in 1956 and 1968. However, a slow decline saw the club drop to the fourth tier by 1982, though they would win an immediate promotion as Fourth Division champions in 1981–82; this achievement meant that Sheffield United are one of only five sides to have won all four professional divisions of English football. Promoted in 1983–84, they recovered from relegation in 1988 to win consecutive promotions into the top-flight at the end of the 1989–90 campaign. Sheffield United were founder member of the Premier League in the 1992–93 season, during which they scored the first ever goal of the competition. They were relegated in 1994 and after losing play-off finals in 1997 and 2003, the club finally regained their Premier League status at the end of the 2005–06 campaign under the stewardship of manager Neil Warnock. However, United were relegated the following year and dropped into League One in 2011. They spent six seasons in the third tier, losing in three play-offs campaigns, before manager Chris Wilder led the club to promotion as champions in 2016–17. Promotion to the Premier League followed in 2018–19, though they were returned to the Championship in 2021.

The Matilda Centre was a self-managed, grassroots social and community centre based at 111 Matilda Street in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The centre took the name of the street on which the building can still be found. It was housed in the derelict Sydney Works building and collectives ran a variety of projects, including a café, free shop and concert venue. It was evicted in June 2006.

Gatecrasher One was a nightclub in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The club was a converted warehouse owned by the Gatecrasher dance music brand. The nightclub was originally named The Republic, but this was changed in 2003 after a £1.5 million refurbishment. On 18 June 2007 the venue caught fire and partially collapsed. The building was later demolished.

Sheffield Institute of Arts Gallery is a university art gallery in Sheffield, England. Part of Sheffield Hallam University the gallery is based in the Furnival Building in Sheffield's Cultural Industries Quarter. It is open to the public. The gallery aims to bring nationally and internationally recognised works of art, design and media arts to Sheffield as well as showing some of the work of academics and students in the Sheffield Institute of Arts. The gallery is managed by a gallery committee representing the main subject groups of the Sheffield Institute of Arts, individual exhibitions are curated by academic specialists in the University.

Sydney Works or Sidney Works is a building on Matilda Street in Sheffield, England. It has seen a variety of uses, and occupies a prominent site beside the Porter Brook, surrounded by car parks. The site was originally occupied by the City Saw Mills. It was occupied by four back-to-back buildings used until the 1970s by various small industrial businesses, most prominently Deakins Silversmiths, later renamed Sydney Silversmiths. The rear wing of the building was constructed in 1902. In the 1970s, the building was used by a printing co-operative. From 1982 it was home to Yorkshire ArtSpace, which converted much of the space into studios, becoming the first cultural organisation in what later became the Cultural Industries Quarter. In 2001, Yorkshire Artspace moved to purpose-built premises at Persistence Works, and the building stood largely empty, other than a small part used by a recording studio. In 2005, the Works were used as a convergence centre for opposition to the G8 Finance Ministers' meeting in Sheffield. Renamed the "Matilda", it was then developed as a squatted social centre, including gig spaces, artists' studios, exhibition space, IT facilities, a cafe and several meeting spaces. In June 2006, Yorkshire Forward, who had acquired the building, secured a court order demanding the eviction of the occupants.In Autumn 2012 work has begun for a "New build and refurbishment of existing Sidney Works buildings to form a new university technical college, with associated external works including flood lit rooftop multi-use games area"

UTC Sheffield City Centre (known as UTC Sheffield from 2013 to 2016) is a University Technical College (UTC) that opened in Sheffield City Centre, South Yorkshire, England in September 2013. The site for the UTC was purchased by Sheffield City Council, with capital funding of £9.9 million awarded by the Department for Education for new buildings. The sponsors of the UTC include Sheffield Hallam University and The Sheffield College in Sheffield.

Access Space is an open digital arts lab in Sheffield in the United Kingdom. It is the longest running free media lab in the UK, practising and promoting sustainability through re-use of technology. The lab has been funded by the Arts Council of England, the European Social Fund of the European Union, and the National Lottery of the UK.

Code is a nightclub in Sheffield, England. It is located on Eyre Street in Sheffield City Centre and plays contemporary chart music including pop, hip hop and R&B. Code has been voted Sheffield's Nightclub of the Year every year from 2016 to 2022; its main competitors are Corporation and The Leadmill. On 13 October 2022, it was announced that Code would be closing due to rising costs associated with the COVID-19 recession and the global energy crisis, with the final club night closing party taking place later that year on 26 November. Events held at Code relocated to a new, smaller late bar and nightclub on West Street named DÜO. However, on 4 January 2023, Code announced that they would be reopening on 31 January.

The Gate is a residential tower located at 1 Eyre Street in Sheffield, England. Plans were submitted in 2006 and accepted that year. Construction started in 2007, however the project was placed on hold in January 2009 as a result of the Great Recession. Construction resumed in 2017; The Gate was topped out in 2019, and completed in the summer of 2020. Originally proposed as an office tower known as 1 Furnival Square, the tower was proposed as a single project also encompassing a 43 metres (141 ft) Jurys Inn hotel adjacent, with the two towers sharing ground floor retail space. Construction of the 11-storey hotel continued as a separate project after the office tower was placed on hold, and Jurys Inn Sheffield opened in 2010. The tower was subsequently revived as a residential tower containing university student accommodation, renamed The Gate. The Gate consists of 21 floors taking it to a height of 64 metres (210 ft), making it Sheffield's seventh-tallest building. It has four lifts.
