Eendracht

The Assumburg, also known as Het Huis Assenburg (English: The House Assenburg), is a windmill located on the Veerweg 1 in Nieuw-Vossemeer, Steenbergen, in the province of North Brabant, Netherlands. Built in 1780 in The Zaan district, the windmill functioned as oil mill, until it was moved to its current location in 1897, when it became a gristmill. The mill was built as a tower mill with a bottom support of 5.20 meters high, and its sails have a span of 22.20 meters. The mill is a national monument (nr 30611) since 15 May 1973.

Nieuw-Vossemeer is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Steenbergen, about 10 km northeast of Bergen op Zoom.

Oud-Vossemeer (Zeelandic: Ou-Vossemaer) is a village on the island of Tholen in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Tholen, and lies about 13 km northwest of Bergen op Zoom, close to the Eendracht, part of the Scheldt-Rhine Canal.

Tholen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈtoːlə(n)] ) is a 25,000 people municipality in the southwest of the Netherlands. The municipality of Tholen takes its name from the town of Tholen, which is the largest population center in the municipality. The municipality consists of two peninsulas, formerly islands, the larger one on the south also called Tholen, the smaller one on the north called Sint Philipsland. The two are separated by the former strait, now bay, of Krabbenkreek. The municipality is bordered on the east by the Eendracht, once a Scheldt branch but now part of the Scheldt-Rhine Canal, crossed by three road bridges, by the Oosterschelde estuary to the south, the straits of Keeten-Mastgat to the west and the Krammer strait to the north. The town has a small historical center partly surrounded by a "gracht" and partly bordered by a harbour for fishing boats and yachts.

St Mary's Church or the English Church (Dutch: Engelse Kerk) is an Anglican church in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. It is part of the Archdeaconry of North West Europe in the Diocese in Europe of the Church of England.

Vrijberge was a municipality in the Dutch province of Zeeland, located on the island of Tholen. It existed until 1813, when it was merged with Oud-Vossemeer.

Lepelstraat (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈleːpəlstraːt]) is a Dutch village six kilometres north of the city of Bergen op Zoom, and part of the municipality with that name. Its earliest records of history date back to 1298 where in a manuscript of landrights it was mentioned as "Den Leepel Straet." Lepelstraat has always been important in its region's religious history. In 1612 a little church was created in the attic of a farmhouse that was kept from the knowledge of authorities because Roman Catholicism was forbidden at that time. Even though this situation changed later in the 17th century, it existed until 1875 when Lepelstraat got its first real church, with a tower having a height of 68 metres. This tower was blown up near the end of World War II by retreating German troops and has never been rebuilt. During the Netherlands' "Great Flood" in 1953 most of the land around Lepelstraat became flooded, costing almost two thousand lives. The water did not reach Lepelstraat itself, making it a safe haven for refugees who lost their homes, friends, and families.

Halsteren is a town in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Bergen op Zoom, about 1 km north of that city. Halsteren has an old church from the 14th century and a new church, built in 1919. A little village called Polder was located between Halsteren and Tholen in the Middle Ages.

The naval Battle of the Slaak (12 and 13 September 1631) was a Dutch victory during the Eighty Years' War. The Dutch prevented the Spanish army from dividing the Dutch United Provinces in two.

The Steenbergse Vliet is a small river in North Brabant, the Netherlands. It rises near Steenbergen and flows into the Volkerak, which is part of the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta.

Sint Philipsland is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. Sint Philpsland is also the name of the (former) island on which the village lies. It is a part of the municipality of Tholen, and lies about 16 km northwest of Bergen op Zoom.

Reimerswaal () is a lost city in the Netherlands. The present-day municipality of Reimerswaal is named after this city, which was granted city rights in 1374. The city was destroyed by repeated floods, and the last citizens left in 1632. Nothing remains. It was located north of the current municipality, on the east end of the Oosterschelde, on land which is now called the Verdronken Land van Reimerswaal ("Drowned Land of Reimerswaal"). The site of the city has been recognized as a national archeological monument and is buried under the Oesterdam.
