Montclair High School (California)

Montclair Hospital Medical Center (MHMC) is a 102-bed acute care facility in Montclair, in the Pomona Valley of San Bernardino County, southern California. MHMC is owned and operated by Prime Healthcare Services, Inc. (PHS), a hospital management company located in Ontario. PHS was founded in 2001 by Prem Reddy, who is its chairman of the board. PHS purchased the facility from AHMC Healthcare in 2006.

Montclair is a city in the Pomona Valley, in southwestern San Bernardino County, California. The population was 36,664 in the 2010 United States Census.

Montclair Place is a 1,200,000 square feet (110,000 m2) indoor shopping mall in Montclair, California. The mall was known as Montclair Plaza until 2015. The mall features JCPenney, and Macy's, in addition to an AMC Theatres Dine-In.

The Russian Village District comprises 15 folk architecture style houses and was built by Konstanty ("Steve") Stys, a Polish (not Russian) immigrant, and others during the Great Depression. It is located at the intersection of South Mills Avenue and East Cucamonga Avenue in Claremont, California. Although the street addresses are in Claremont, portions of many of the parcels in the district lie within the city of Montclair in San Bernardino County. The historic district was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

San Antonio Creek is a major stream in Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County, California, draining southwards from Mount San Antonio in the San Gabriel Mountains into Chino Creek, a tributary of the Santa Ana River. Upon leaving San Antonio Canyon and entering the broad alluvial plain of the Pomona Valley, it is known as the San Antonio Wash or the San Antonio Creek Channel, the former referring to the creek's seasonal dry nature below the mouth of San Antonio Canyon.

Indian Hill Village is a former shopping mall in Pomona, California. It has been redeveloped into a multi-use retail, commercial, and educational facility and is now known as The Village @ Indian Hill, comprising 650,000 square feet (60,000 m2) on 39 acres (16 ha).

Montclair Transcenter is an intermodal transit center located at 5091 Richton Street in Montclair, California. It is located between Central and Monte Vista Avenues on Richton Street just north of the Montclair Plaza shopping center. The TransCenter is owned by the City of Montclair. Omnitrans, Foothill Transit, and the Riverside Transit Agency all provide bus service, with Foothill and RTA providing express service and Foothill and Omnitrans providing local service. It is also a station on the Metrolink San Bernardino Line. Montclair Transcenter is served by 36 Metrolink San Bernardino Line trains (18 in each direction) each weekday, running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. This station is also served by an express train that operates once in each direction on weekdays. Weekend service consists of 16 trains (8 in each direction) on both Saturday and Sunday, evenly spaced throughout the day.The station serves as the dividing line between Foothill's service area and Omnitrans' service area. Omnitrans buses run to the east, while Foothill buses run to the west. Both agencies accept each other's passes for one transfer outbound from the station.

Narod is an unincorporated area in southwestern San Bernardino County, California, United States, located 35 miles (56 km) east of downtown Los Angeles, with an estimated population of 1,691 as of 2020. Narod is not an official census-designated place. However, Narod is on the list of unincorporated areas and street maps in San Bernardino County, according to the United States Geological Survey. It appears on the Ontario U.S. Geological Survey Map.The area is thought to have taken its name from a railroad executive named A.E. Doran who reversed his name. It is thought that when the Southern Pacific Transportation Company extended its tracks through the area, A.E. Doran had the task of naming the various sidings and stations along the route. Because Doran already named another siding for himself, he reversed his name. And the name stuck.Once a recognized community in its own right, most of the historical Narod area has been incorporated into the neighboring city of Montclair. The remainder remains unincorporated, and addresses in the area show “Ontario” as the place name, due to it bordering the city of Ontario to the east. The area also borders Montclair to the north and west, and Chino to the south.

The Pomona College Organic Farm is an organic campus farm on 1.2 acres (0.49 ha) of the southeast corner of Pomona College's campus in Claremont, California. It is within Blanchard Park (more commonly known as "the Wash"). It was begun as an experimental permaculture project by a group of three friends in 1998, and was institutionalized in 2006.

Claremont station is a passenger rail and bus station in Claremont, California, United States. It is served by Metrolink's San Bernardino Line which runs from Los Angeles Union Station to San Bernardino–Downtown. The Mission Revival-Spanish Colonial Revival style station is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places as Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad Station. Claremont station is served by 34 Metrolink San Bernardino Line trains (17 in each direction) each weekday, running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. Weekend service consists of 16 trains (8 in each direction) on both Saturday and Sunday, evenly spaced throughout the day.

The Spirit of Spanish Music is a sculpture by Burt William Johnson (25 April 1890—27 March 1927). It was commissioned by the Pomona College class of 1915 and placed in the Lebus Court of the Mabel Shaw Bridges Hall of Music at Pomona College, one of a group of buildings conceived for the expansion of Pomona College and built in the mid-1910s by architect Myron Hunt using details of the "ornamental Spanish style". This style, and the fact that the building where it stands was intended for the study and performance of music, give the sculpture its name. (Other names for the sculpture sometimes are seen in various sources, including Pastoral Flutist and Youth). The figure itself, a boy in "classic contrapposto stance" playing an elongated flute, was influenced by the 15th century Florentine sculptor Desiderio da Settignano It reflects the overall "Arcadian" theme Hunt intended for Pomona's south campus.The sculpture's harmony with the building surrounding its courtyard setting was described in 1921 as "happily eloquent of the spirit of the place". "The pose is exquisite," reports another journal of the period, "and the design peculiarly appropriate to the Spanish architecture of the beautiful temple of music it is to adorn." In a lecture on the occasion of the Centennial in 2015 of the statue and the building, art historian George Gorse labels the setting "A Pastoral Theatre", and characterizes the sculpture as "Vergilian 'Arcadia' . . . absolutely Vergilian."The sculpture was cast in bronze by the Gorham Company in Providence, R.I. It is life-size, approximately 137 cm (54 in.) in height. Before being delivered to Claremont and installed in Lebus Court, it was exhibited by the Gorham Company at their gallery on Fifth Avenue in New York, and at the Winter Exhibition at the National Academy.After part of the fountain collapsed, the statue was removed in early 2015 while repairs were made. Before its return on 14 August 2015, The Spirit of Spanish Music was restored by conservator Donna Williams, including the repair of the boy's broken flute.
