The Novartis Institute for Tropical Disease (NITD) was a Singapore-based tropical disease research institute created through a public-private partnership between Novartis and the Singapore Economic Development Board. Research at NITD focuses primarily on developing novel small molecule therapies for tropical infectious diseases that are endemic to the developing world, particularly dengue fever, malaria and tuberculosis.

Tanglin Halt is a public housing estate, planning subzone and former industrial estate in Queenstown, Singapore. Most of the older buildings in the estate are set to be demolished by 2024 to make way for redevelopments under the Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme. It is the third housing estate to be redeveloped under the scheme.

Buona Vista is a housing estate located in the subzones of one-north and Holland Drive in the residential township of Queenstown in Singapore. The housing estate is served by the Buona Vista MRT station which links it up with the MRT system. It also has a bus terminal.

Buona Vista MRT station is a Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the East West line and Circle line in Queenstown, Singapore. This station is close to one-north, a high technology business park for the biomedical science, infocomm technology and media industries. It is located near the junction of North Buona Vista Road, Commonwealth Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue West.

Tanglin Trust School (TTS) is an international school in Singapore that runs as a non-profit organisation. Established in 1925, Tanglin Trust School provides British-based learning with an international perspective for students aged 3–18. There are approximately 2,800 students at Tanglin, with 700 in the Infant School, 700 in the Junior School and 1,400 in the Senior School and Sixth Form. Each school has its own building and facilities within the one campus. Approximately 60–70% of students in the school are British passport holders. As of May 2014, 54 nationalities are represented.

one-north MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Circle line in Queenstown, Singapore. Located between Ayer Rajah Avenue and Portsdown Road underneath Fusionopolis Place within one-north, this is the only MRT station to have a name that starts with an uncapitalised letter and includes a hyphen. The station takes its name from the one-north business park, a reference to Singapore's latitude being (slightly over) one degree north of the equator. The station is nestled within the basement of Fusionopolis, a research and development complex comprising retail outlets and serviced apartments.

Commonwealth MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line in Queenstown, Singapore located at Commonwealth Avenue near the junction of Commonwealth Drive. The station serves the residential neighbourhoods of Commonwealth and Tanglin Halt. The station is in the vicinity of schools such as New Town Primary School, CHIJ Kellock, Faith Methodist Church, and Queensway Secondary School. The residential estates and station bearing the same name were named after Commonwealth Avenue built around 1963, which in turn was named after the British Commonwealth of Nations. Commonwealth station is a transport node for residents in the vicinity of Commonwealth Avenue, serving adjacent schools, places of worship, housing developments and businesses.

Fairfield Methodist School (Primary) and Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary) are two schools located on Dover Road. Founded in 1888 as the Anglo-Chinese Girls School, they are among the oldest primary and secondary schools in Singapore. Their current premises are at the neighbourhood of Dover in Queenstown, Central Singapore.

Civil Service College (CSC) Singapore is a college for government employees in Singapore. It is a statutory board under the Public Service Division, Prime Minister's Office, of the Government of Singapore.

BLOCK71 Singapore, commonly known as "Blk71", is a factory building located in the Ayer Rajah Industrial Estate of one-north, Singapore. The Economist referred to BLOCK71 as the heart of Singapore's technology start-up ecosystem and the world's most tightly packed entrepreneurial ecosystem. BLOCK71 has built up a strong innovation and entrepreneurship community, where entrepreneurs, investors, developers and mentors within the interactive digital media space are in close proximity to each other. BLOCK71 is home to more than 100 start-ups, venture capital firms and tech incubators. It is also located near other technology hubs within Singapore, including the Fusionopolis, Biopolis and National University of Singapore (NUS).

Ayer Rajah Bus Park was a bus depot located in Commonwealth, Singapore. Ayer Rajah Bus Park was built on 10 April 1984 as the Commonwealth and Ayer Rajah began developed. The facility has ample parking space for 176 buses, relieving the need of overnight parking at Buona Vista Bus Terminal, Holland Road and Delta Fringe Carparks, and the occasional roadside parking at Leng Kee Road.Prior to its closure, it also served as a turnaround point for service 91 from Buona Vista Bus Terminal. With SBS Transit being awarded the Bukit Merah Bus Package in February 2018, several bus services were progressively transferred to the new Ulu Pandan Bus Depot in July and August that year. On 9 September that year, Ayer Rajah Bus Park ceased operations. Bus services previously garaged at Ayer Rajah Bus Park were transferred to either Bukit Batok Bus Depot or Ulu Pandan Bus Depot.

The Singapore Open is a golf tournament in Singapore that is part of the Asian Tour schedule. The event has been held at Sentosa Golf Club since 2005 and since 2017 has been part of the Open Qualifying Series, giving up to four non-exempt players entry into The Open Championship. The Singapore Open was founded in 1961 and was one of the tournaments on the first season of the Far East Circuit (later the Asia Golf Circuit) the following year. It remained part of the Asia circuit until 1993 when it became a fixture on the Australasian Tour. After just 3 seasons, it left the Australasian Tour to join the fledgling Asian Tour for that tour's second season in 1996. The event was also co-sanctioned with the European Tour from 2009 to 2012, and with the Japan Golf Tour since 2016.
