Church of the Gesù

The Chiesa del Gesù (Church of the Jesus) is a baroque-style, Roman Catholic church located on Strada Gesù #11 in Castellammare di Stabia, in the metropolitan city of Naples, region of Campania, Italy.

Palazzo Altieri is a palace in Rome, which was the home of the Altieri family in the city. The palace faces the square in front of the Church of the Gesù.

The Statue of Pope Clement X is one of the final sculptural works executed by the Italian artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini. It depicts Pope Clement X in the act of benediction, and is housed in the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica in the Palazzo Barberini, Rome.

Santo Stanislao dei Polacchi (Saint Stanislaus of the Poles, Polish: Kościół św. Stanisława Biskupa i Męczennika w Rzymie), also known as San Stanislao alle Botteghe Oscure, is a Roman Catholic church in Rome, sited on Via delle Botteghe Oscure in the Sant'Angelo rione. It is the national church of Poland in Rome.

Palazzo Grazioli is a building situated at Via del Plebiscito 102 between the Palazzo Doria Pamphili and Palazzo Altieri in Rome, Italy. It's located in an area rich in archaeological remains of ancient Rome, which has been the result of numerous modifications and restoration works carried out by several noble Roman families who lived there over the centuries. The oldest sources connects the palace to the Ercolani family and was initially built by Giacomo della Porta. The family of Luigi Gottifredi, a priest of the Society of Jesus, who settled there, made a radical renovation employing Camillo Arcucci, an architect of the Roman Baroque, in the years 1645 to 1650. In the early 19th century, the palace was the residence of the Ambassador of Austria and then the Infanta of Spain and Duchess of Lucca, Maria Luisa of Bourbon-Spain who died there in 1824. It was later acquired by Commander Grazioli, then Baron of Castelporziano and Duke of Santa Croce di Magliano, who in 1863 entrusted the restoration which ended in 1874. The facade of the building on Via del Plebiscito is decorated with pilasters with capitals. At the center of it opens the door flanked by two Doric columns of gray granite and topped by a balcony. The palace is known for having been a home of Silvio Berlusconi, who rented a floor of the palace from 1995 to 2021. He announced his resignation there on 12 November 2011.

The Temple of the Nymphs was a temple in ancient Rome dedicated to the Nymphs, evidenced in several sources and generally identified with the remains on what is now via delle Botteghe Oscure. The temple was founded in the 3rd century BC or the early 2nd century BC. It was damaged by a fire in the mid 1st century BC and probably also affected by the citywide fire in 80 AD. This temple was on the Campus Martius. If still in use by the 4th-century, the temple would have been closed during the persecution of pagans in the late Roman Empire, when the Christian Emperors issued edicts prohibiting all non-Christian worship and sanctuaries.

Palazzetto Venezia (formerly Palazzetto di San Marco) is a Renaissance palace rising on one side of Piazza Venezia, in the historic center of Rome, Italy. The building underwent several alterations over the centuries until 1909, when it was demolished and a slightly modified version was rebuilt a short distance from its original position, tto allow the enlargement of Piazza Venezia as part of the construction of the Vittoriano. Since 2006 the building has been part of the Museum of Palazzo Venezia and its upper loggia houses the lapidarium.

Santo Stefano de Pinea or more commonly Santo Stefano del Cacco is a church in Rome dedicated to Saint Stephen, located at Via di Santo Stefano del Cacco 26.

The Temple of Minerva Chalcidica or Minervium was a small temple in the Campus Martius in ancient Rome, dedicated to Minerva. It was built by Pompey the Great in around 60 BC (next to the later site of the Temple of Isis and Serapis) and probably destroyed in the fire of 80 AD which destroyed the Campus Martius. It was then rebuilt by Domitian. Its name survives in that of the 8th century basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, then thought to have been built directly atop the temple ruins; it is now known that the temple was 200 metres west of the church's current location, under the church of Santa Marta.

San Marco is a minor basilica in Rome dedicated to St. Mark the Evangelist located in the small Piazza di San Marco adjoining Piazza Venezia. It was first built in 336 by Pope Mark, whose remains are in an urn located below the main altar. The basilica is the national church of Venice in Rome.

The Villa publica was a public building in ancient Rome, which served as the censors’ base of operation. It was erected on the Campus Martius in 435 BC. According to Livy, the first census was compiled there the year it was built. In 194 BC, the building, or buildings, was restored and enlarged. Villa publica meant "House of the People" and although its location is unknown (it has been conjectured that it actually constituted a series of buildings near the Circus Flaminius), it is known from ancient sources that its area was wide, and that, at one point, most likely following further renovations in 34 BC, a large wall was built around it. In addition to holding the censors’ records and acting as the censors’ base of operations, the Villa publica also served as a place where foreign ambassadors were greeted, where generals waited to hear if they would be granted a triumph, and it also acted as a base for army levies.

Santa Marta al Collegio Romano is a deconsecrated church located in the Piazza del Collegio Romano in the Rione Pigna of Rome, Italy. A House of Saint Martha was founded in 1543 by St Ignatius of Loyola to rehabilitate women considered of poor morals, because they were adulterous or married women shamelessly living in public sin without fear of God or men Saint Martha is considered the patron saint of married women. The church became a monastery, and by 1560 was under the Augustinian order. The church was consecrated in 1696, with a reconstruction by Carlo Fontana. Deconsecrated by Napoleonic invasions, it presently functions as a cultural center. The interior art has been mostly transferred. Some of the stucco and architectural decoration remains. The ceiling is frescoed by Baciccio.
