Nonsuch Mansion

Nonsuch Park is a public park between Stoneleigh, Cheam, and Ewell in the borough of Epsom and Ewell in Surrey, England. It is adjacent to the boundary of the London Borough of Sutton. It is the last surviving part of the Little Park of Nonsuch, a deer hunting park established by Henry VIII surrounding the former Nonsuch Palace. The western regions of the larger adjacent Great Park of Nonsuch became known as Worcester Park after the 4th Earl of Worcester was appointed Keeper of the Great Park in 1606. The park contains Nonsuch Mansion, also known as Nonsuch Park House.

Cuddington was a village in Surrey which was demolished to make way for Henry VIII's Nonsuch Palace near Cheam. Cuddington lay within the Copthorne hundred. There remains a small rise of land to mark the northern side of the old Cuddington parish church. The parish of Cuddington was part of Epsom Rural District and became part of the borough of Epsom and Ewell in 1933, with portions to the northeast and south becoming part of Cheam.

Nonsuch High School is an all-girls' grammar school with an academy status, located in Cheam, in the borough of Epsom and Ewell in Surrey, England, on the border of the London Borough of Sutton, and standing in 22 acres (89,000 m2) of grounds on the edge of Nonsuch Park. The school is a specialist science college and languages school and is currently ranked as the 9th best performing state school by GCSE results in 2019. Nonsuch High School for Girls also ranked in 13th highest place nationally for the value added progress their students make at GCSE according to the Department for Education's (DFE) performance tables.

Cheam Cricket Club Ground is a cricket ground in Cheam, London (formerly Surrey). The first recorded match on the ground was in 1940, when Cheam played London Counties. Cheam CC was one of the founding members of the Surrey Championship and the club was established in 1864. More recently, the ground has held Surrey Second XI matches in the Second XI Championship and the Second XI Trophy.In 1968, the ground held a game for John Edrich against the International Cavaliers. The game attracted 8,000 people and was the first cricket match to be televised in colour by the BBC.The Surrey Cricket Board played 2 List-A matches at the ground, the first of which came against Norfolk in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. Their second List-A match at the ground came in the 2001 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy against Huntingdonshire.Today Cheam Cricket Club is an club in Surrey and has produced several first class and international players such as Mark Butcher, Alisdair Brown, Michael Burgess and Michael Carberry. For many years Cheam CC played in the Premier or Div 1 of the Surrey Championship. Internal issues led to a walk out of the 1st XI in the early 2000s with many players migrating to neighbouring clubs in Sutton and Ashtead. The club suffered hugely and had several relegations however the club recorded 4 promotions in 2019 and now plays in Div 3 of the Surrey Championship and has a thriving youth section.

Nonsuch Palace was a Tudor royal palace, commissioned by Henry VIII in Surrey, England and completed in 1538. Its site lies in what is now Nonsuch Park on the boundaries of the borough of Epsom and Ewell in Surrey and the London Borough of Sutton. The palace was designed to be a celebration of the power and the grandeur of the Tudor dynasty, built to rival Francis I's Château de Chambord. Unlike most of Henry's palaces, Nonsuch was not an adaptation of an old building; he chose to build a new palace in this location because it was near to one of his main hunting grounds. However the choice of location was unwise, as there was no nearby supply of water suitable for domestic use. The palace remained standing until 1682–3, when it was pulled down by Barbara, Countess of Castlemaine, mistress to Charles II, to sell off building materials to pay for her gambling debts.

Whitehall is a timber-framed historic house museum in the centre of Cheam Village, Sutton, Greater London. It is thought to have been a wattle and daub yeoman farmer's house originally, built around 1500. It is Grade II* listed on Historic England's National Heritage List.

The Lumley Chapel is a redundant Anglican church in the suburban village of Cheam, in the London Borough of Sutton, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The chapel is located in the churchyard of St Dunstan's Church in Church Road, off Malden Road, the A2043.

Cheam High School is a mixed sex academy school located in Cheam, London Borough of Sutton, South London. It consists of a lower school, for those aged between 11 and 16, wherein each year group consists of 300 students and a sixth form for ages 17–18. The school has specialisms in languages and the arts. The previous headteacher Miss Rebecca Allott succeeded Mr TJ Vaughan on his retirement in 2000. Mr Peter Naudi is Headteacher and the deputy head is Mr P Vosper.

Cheam railway station serves Cheam in the London Borough of Sutton. It is located on the Sutton & Mole Valley Lines section from Sutton to Epsom with trains to London Victoria and London Bridge both via Mitcham Junction and West Croydon.

Howell Hill is a 5-hectare (12-acre) nature reserve east of Ewell in Surrey. It is owned by Surrey County Council and managed by the Surrey Wildlife Trust.There are chalk spoil heaps on this calcareous grassland site. Around 260 species of flowering plants have been recorded, including mouse-eared hawkweed, kidney vetch, common spotted orchid, common knapweed, fragrant orchid and white helleborine orchid.

Glaisdale School was an independent preparatory school on Arundel Road in Cheam situated in the London Borough of Sutton.

Ewell East is one of two stations serving the town of Ewell in Surrey, England. It has two platforms, one for services to Sutton, West Croydon and London, the other for services to Epsom. The ticket office and main entrance is on the London-bound side, accessed from Cheam Road. On the Epsom-bound side, there is an additional entrance from a footpath linking the Cheam Road with Reigate Road near the North East Surrey College of Technology. It was opened on 10 May 1847 with the Croydon and Epsom Railway. This was subsumed into the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. Train service is now provided by Southern. Ewell East has been part of Travelcard Zone 6 since January 2008.
