Kalamazoo Charter Township is a charter township of Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 21,918 at the 2010 census.The cities of Kalamazoo and Parchment are adjacent to the township and have annexed much land that was formerly within the township, such that the township now consists of two non-contiguous sections of land and one small section that is connected by a narrow point across Riverview Drive. Two census-designated places (CDPs) are within the township: Eastwood and Westwood. These are defined for statistical purposes and do not have any legal status as municipalities. However, both have an identity as communities, although the areas defined by the CDPs may not precisely correspond to local use of the terms. The CDPs can include nearby areas that locals might not consider as part of the community with the same name. Kalamazoo Township was initially organized under the name of "Arcadia Township" by an act of the Territorial Legislature on July 30, 1830. A separate act on the same day organized the government of Kalamazoo County. Initially Arcadia Township consisted of all eight of the northern tier of townships in Kalamazoo County. In June 1832, Richland Township was set off, consisting of Richland, Ross, Charleston, and Comstock townships. On March 2, 1836, Arcadia Township was renamed as Kalamazoo Township, the same day that the village of Bronson was renamed as Kalamazoo. On March 11, 1837, Cooper Township was set off, consisting of Cooper and Alamo townships. On March 22, 1839, Oshtemo Township was set off from Kalamazoo.

The Enoch Shaffer House is a single-family home located at 1437 Douglas Avenue in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is one of only a few Late Victorian farmhouses in Kalamazoo, and is notable for its fine detailing. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Charles E. Stuart House is a single-family home located at 427 Stuart Avenue in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Gibson, Inc. Factory and Office Building is a former industrial building located at 225 Parsons Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.

The Stuart Area Historic District is a primarily residential historic district Roughly bounded by the Michigan Central RR, Douglas, Forbes, West Main, North, and Elm Streets, and Kalamazoo and Grand Avenues, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The bulk of the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, with additions in 1995.

Old Fire House No. 4 is a former fire station located at 526 North Burdick Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Park Trades Center is an arts center located at 326 W. Kalamazoo Ave in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States. Originally a manufacturing faculty, the building was repurposed and began to attract artists in the 1970s, and now houses artist studios and arts organizations. Occupants have included Glass Arts Kalamazoo and the Kalamazoo Book Arts Center, as well as studios dedicated to blacksmithing, cabinetmaking, glassblowing, ceramics, photography and other mediums. The center is a popular location to visit during Kalamazoo's Art Hop, a regular event sponsored by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo.

The Kalamazoo Transportation Center is an intermodal complex in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. Amtrak and Greyhound provide regular service there. The center is also the major downtown transfer hub for Kalamazoo's Metro Transit bus system. It is served by Amtrak's Blue Water and Wolverine trains and was formerly a stop for the International, which had started in 1982 as joint operation by Via Rail and Amtrak between Chicago and Toronto, was discontinued in 2004. Amtrak does not allow passengers to check luggage at Kalamazoo, but does permit carry-on of up to two suitcases plus "personal items" such as briefcases, purses, laptop bags, and infant gear.

Cathedral of Saint Augustine (or St. Augustine Cathedral) is a Catholic cathedral and parish church located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States. It is the seat of the Bishop of the Diocese of Kalamazoo. The parish was founded in 1856, the present church building was completed in 1951, and it was raised to cathedral status in 1970.

The Masonic Temple in Kalamazoo, Michigan is a building from 1913. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. No lodges currently meet in the building.

The Diocese of Kalamazoo (Latin: Dioecesis Kalamazuensis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory, or diocese, of the Catholic Church in southwestern Michigan in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Detroit. The mother church of the Diocese of Kalamazoo is the Cathedral of Saint Augustine in Kalamazoo. The current bishop is Edward M. Lohse.
