Fielder Mountain is a summit in the U.S. state of Oregon. The elevation is 3,750 feet (1,140 m). It is located in Jackson Country near the city of Rogue River. Fielder Mountain was named after Thomas Fielder, a pioneer settler.

Savage Creek is a 4.5 mile long stream in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is a tributary to the Rogue River. Savage Creek was named in 1853 after James Savage, a pioneer citizen.

Savage Rapids Dam was an approximately 39-foot-high (12 m), 500-foot-long (150 m) irrigation diversion dam spanning the mainstem of the Rogue River in Josephine County, Oregon. The dam was demolished and removed in 2009. From 1921 until the spring of 2009, the Savage Rapids Dam almost entirely functioned for irrigation purposes, and it did not provide any flood control, hydro-electric power, inland waterway, or other significant beneficial uses. It only provided very minor recreational or wildlife (such as migratory birds) benefits. Because this dam's facilities for accommodating migrating salmon did not meet current legal or practical standards, the "Grants Pass Irrigation District" (the GPID) had agreed to allow this dam to be demolished and replaced by pumps. The GPID had entered into a U.S. Federal Court consent decree to this effect. Construction of the replacement irrigation pumps began in 2006, and these pumps started service on May 11, 2009. The final dam demolition and removal was completed in October 2009. This project represented one of the largest dam removals ever undertaken in the United States, and it is expected to have significant and enduring positive impacts on the valuable sport and commercial salmon fisheries of Oregon.

Evans Creek is a tributary, about 35 miles (56 km) long, of the Rogue River in the U.S. state of Oregon. It begins near Richter Mountain in the Cascade Range and flows generally south to The Meadows then southwest to Wimer then south to the city of Rogue River, all in Jackson County. The creek enters the river about 111 miles (179 km) from the Rogue's mouth on the Pacific Ocean. Wimer Bridge, a one-lane covered bridge crosses the creek at Wimer.Named tributaries from source to mouth are Railroad Gap, Wolf, Coal, Chapman, Canon, and Morrison creeks. Further downstream come Spignet, West Fork Evans, May, Sykes, and Pleasant creeks. Last are Bear Branch and Fielder Creek.Pleasant Creek was named after Pleasant M. Armstrong, a pioneer who was killed near its course.Formerly listed among the 10 worst dams in the state for migratory fish passage, two abandoned dams on Evans Creek were demolished in 2015. The removal of the Wimer and Fielder dams opened about 70 miles (110 km) of stream channels in the watershed to salmon and steelhead. Wimer Dam was about 9 miles (14 km) from the mouth of Evans Creek, and Fielder Dam was further downstream.

The Palmerton Arboretum is an arboretum of 5 acres (20,000 m2) which contains almost 90 species of trees and shrubs from around the world. It is located on West Evans Creek Road in Rogue River, Oregon, United States on the site of a 1930s-era tree nursery. Admission is free.The Arboretum features over 40 species of mature trees including Japanese pines, Mediterranean cedars, redwoods, and other trees native to the Pacific Northwest. It also contains several kinds of azaleas and rhododendrons, plus a variety of other labeled plants, shrubs and trees, as well as a duck pond, playground, and picnic area.
