The Nikolay Akimov Saint Petersburg Comedy Theatre (Russian: Санкт-Петербургский академический театр комедии им. Н. П. Акимова) is a theatre at 56 Nevsky Prospect, Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Malaya Sadovaya Street (Russian: Малая Садовая Улица, meaning 'Little Garden Street') is a pedestrian street of cafes, terraces and fountains in the heart of Saint Petersburg, Russia. It runs between Italyanskaya Street (Italian Street) and the Nevsky Prospect. Spanning a single block, at about 175 metres (574 ft), it is known as Saint Petersburg's shortest street.The street's Nevsky Prospect terminus is at Catherine Square, which features the monument to Catherine the Great by the sculptors Mikhail Mikeshin and Matthew Chizhov, and the architects Victor Schröter and David Grimm. At the Italian Street terminus is Manege Square, where there is a view of the portico of the great stables designed by Vincenzo Brenna and Karl Rossi.

The National Library of Russia (NLR, Russian: Российская национальная библиотека), located in Saint Petersburg, is the first national public library in Russia. The NLR is currently ranked among the world’s major libraries. It has the second biggest library collection in the Russian Federation, a treasury of national heritage, and is the All-Russian Information, Research and Cultural Center. Over the course of its history, the Library has aimed for comprehensive acquisition of the national printed output and has provided free access to its collections. It should not be confused with the Russian State Library, located in Moscow. It is known as the Imperial Public Library from 1795 to 1917; Russian Public Library from 1917 to 1925; State Public Library from 1925 to 1992 (since 1932 named after M.Y. Saltykov-Shchedrin); NLR.

The Anichkov Palace, a former imperial palace in Saint Petersburg, stands at the intersection of Nevsky Avenue and the Fontanka River.

The Alexandrinsky Theatre (Russian: Александринский театр) or National Drama Theatre of Russia is a theatre in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Alexandrinsky Theatre was built for the Imperial troupe of Petersburg (Imperial troupe was founded in 1756). The theatre was opened on 31 August (12 September), 1832 (1832). Since 1832, the theatre has occupied an Empire-style building that Carlo Rossi designed. It was built in 1828–1832 on Alexandrinsky Square (now Ostrovsky Square), which is situated on Nevsky Prospekt between the National Library of Russia and Anichkov Palace. The theatre and the square were named after Empress consort Alexandra Feodorovna. The building is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments. It was one of the many theatres of the Imperial troupe. Dramas, operas and ballets were on the stage. Only in the 1880s, the theatre has become dramatic and tragedy filled. The premières of numerous Russian plays have been performed at the stage of the Alexandrinsky, including plays by Alexandr Griboyedov, Alexander Ostrovsky, and Anton Chekhov. Famous directors who have staged work there include Vsevolod Meyerhold, Grigori Kozintsev, Georgy Tovstonogov, and Nikolay Akimov. On 30 August 2006 the theatre reopened after a reconstruction.

Michael Manege (Mikhailovsky manezh; Russian: Михайловский манеж) is the Neoclassical building of an early 19th-century riding academy in the historic center of Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was converted into an indoor sporting arena in 1949 and was renamed Zimniy Stadion (Russian: Зимний стадион, lit. "Winter Stadium").

Manezhnaya Square (Russian: Манежная площадь, romanized Manezhnaya ploschad) is a square in the Tsentralny District of Saint Petersburg. In some guidebooks this square may be also named a Riding-School Square: "riding school" is one of the variants in which French: manège and Russian: манеж, romanized: manezh may be translated. The shape of Manezhnaya Square is close to the right-angled triangle. Its longest cathetus, the southern side of Manezhnaya Square is formed with Italyanskaya Street, which runs parallel to Nevsky Prospect, at about hundred meters north of it. The shortest cathetus is Karavannaya Street, which forms the eastern side of the square running from Nevky prospect to the north. Another street connecting the square to Nevsky is Malaya Sadovaya which intersects Italyanskaya Street at the western corner of the square. Here converges the third, longest side — the "hypotenuse" of this triangle square. Driveways flanking one of the buildings on this side of the square merge behind it into a boulevard, Klenovaya alley, which runs from Manezhnaya Square to Mikhailovsky Castle.

The Passage, from the French word passage, is an élite department store on Nevsky Avenue in Saint Petersburg, Russia, which was founded in 1848. The Passage premises have long had associations with the entertainment industry and houses the Komissarzhevskaya Theatre.

Gostiny Dvor (Russian: Гости́ный двор) is a station on the Nevsko–Vasileostrovskaya Line of the Saint Petersburg Metro. It was designed by architect C.G. Mayofis, E.S. Belyat, A.K. Andreyev, Ya.E. Moskalenko and C.P Schyukin and opened on November 3, 1967. It has two exits - one at the intersection between the Griboyedov Canal and Nevsky Prospect and another inside the northern side of the Gostinyi Dvor mall. The latter exit has an entrance that allows the commuters to enter the mall directly. The station also linked to the Nevsky Prospekt metro station via a transfer corridor and a set of escalators. The station is the busiest station on the line and one of the busiest stations in the entire St. Petersburg Metro.

2 Architect Rossi Street (Russian: Улица Зодчего Росси, д. 2) is a building in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is located at the corner of Ostrovsky Square and Architect Rossi Street (also called just Rossi Street), which is named for the Italian architect Carlo Rossi who spent his working life in Russia.

The Fontanka Embankment (Russian: Набережная реки Фонтанки) is a street in Saint Petersburg that follows the course of the Fontanka River from its origin as it diverges from the Neva River up to its confluence with the Great Neva. In 1762–1769 the general plan of city development was developed by the State Special Committee, headed by Aleksei Kvasov. Following this plan, in the 1780s the shores were imbanked in granite by architect Giacomo Quarenghi. The Fontanka Embankment was used as a border of Saint Petersburg central part.Nowadays the embankment serves as a motorway, it was reconstructed in the early 1990s, then in 2016–2019. It has a status of cultural heritage object. Total length of the left side embankment is 6.4 km, right - 5.7 km. Numerous palaces and historical sites are located on this street.

The Cabinet of His Imperial Majesty, colloquially the Imperial Cabinet was an institution that was in charge of the personal property of the Russian Imperial family and dealt with some other issues in 1704—1917.
