Wormley, Surrey

King Edward's Witley is a private co-educational boarding and day school, founded in 1553 by King Edward VI and Nicholas Ridley, Bishop of London and Westminster. The School is located in the village of Wormley (near Witley), Surrey, England, having moved to its present location in 1867. The School became fully co-educational in 1952. As of September 2010, the school has joined the small number of independent schools in the UK which offer the IB Diploma Programme in place of A-Levels in the sixth form. The school re-introduced A-levels as part of the curriculum from September 2015.

Witley railway station is a station on the Portsmouth Direct Line in Surrey, England. It is 38 miles 36 chains (61.9 km) down the line from London Waterloo via Woking.

Tigbourne Court is an Arts and Crafts style country house in Wormley, Surrey, England, 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Witley. It was designed by architect Edwin Lutyens, using a mixture of 17th-century style vernacular architecture and classical elements, and has been called "probably his best" building, for its architectural geometry, wit and texture. It was completed in 1901. English Heritage have designated it a Grade I listed building.

Witley is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Waverley in Surrey, England centred 2.6 miles (4 km) south west of the town of Godalming and 6.6 miles (11 km) southwest of Guildford. The land is a mixture of rural (ranging from woodland protected by the Surrey Hills AONB including a small part of the forested Greensand Ridge to cultivated fields) contrasting with elements more closely resembling a suburban satellite village. As a civil parish it is unusual in that it includes the small town of Milford in the north. Occupying its hills in the south-west are Sandhills and Brook. Witley Common is a wide expanse of land, owned by the National Trust, crossed by the A3 road. The village is served by two stations on the Portsmouth Direct Line: Witley station, to the south in nearby Wormley, and, to the north, Milford station, which is more or less equidistant between Milford and Witley. Its church dates to the pre-Norman Conquest period of the Kingdom of England. The village has the private sector, but charitable co-educational boarding and day school King Edward's School founded in Westminster in 1553 by King Edward VI and bishop Nicholas Ridley – supported by the City of London Corporation.

Sandhills is a small hamlet located between the villages of Wormley and Brook in Surrey, UK. It is part of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty and situated on the Green Sand Way. There is a common owned by the National Trust, and a Donkey sanctuary, founded by John and Kay Lockwood in the 1950s and now operated by the RSPCA.

St. Dominic's School in Hambledon, Surrey, England is a co-educational day school, one of the oldest special schools in the United Kingdom. It specialises in the education of children with various disabilities, such as autism, whilst integrating specialised support, including an onsite speech and language, occupational and physio therapy team. Currently pupils are admitted from over 35 different LEAs. It admits and educates pupils aged 7–19. Previously a non-maintained independent school, in January 2018 St Dominic's School formally entered the state sector and converted to academy status. The school is now part of the Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust.

Oakhurst Cottage is a tiny 16th or 17th-century cottage in Hambledon, Surrey, in the United Kingdom. It is a Grade II listed building.The cottage was given to the National Trust in 1954, and occupied until 1983. It has been restored to illustrate the dwelling of a labourer in the Victorian era.

Ockford Ridge is the part of the parish and town of Godalming, Surrey, England west of the London-Portsmouth railway. It has a narrow buffer to the west, east of a small village, Eashing which adjoins the A3 trunk road.

Brook is a hamlet in the civil parish of Witley in the Waverley district in south-west Surrey. It is in the far west of Wormley, beyond Sandhills with which it avoids being contiguous due to a narrow, partly woodland buffer. Brook straddles the A286 single carriageway road between Milford and Haslemere. On slightly lower slopes of the Greensand Ridge than to the south, Brook is almost wholly within the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty.

Brook Brick Pit is a 0.9-hectare (2.2-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Wormley Surrey. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site exposes rocks of the Atherfield Clay Formation, dating to the Aptian stage of the Lower Cretaceous around 120 million years ago. It shows the onset of marine conditions in southern England in the Aptian and it has diverse bivalve fossils.The site is private land with no public access.

Rodborough School is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Milford, Surrey, England. The school is a feeder school for Godalming College.

Hambledon is a rural scattered village in the Waverley borough of Surrey, situated south of Guildford. It is dominated by a buffer zone of fields and woodland, mostly south of the Greensand Ridge escarpment between Witley and Chiddingfold, having no dual carriageways or railways; however, it is bordered to the west by the Portsmouth Direct Line, and many of its small population are London commuters or retirees. Its main amenities are a church, a village pub, and the village shop and post office.
