KTMB's studios are located in Downtown Anchorage and its transmitter is in the city's Bayshore district. It is unique among Anchorage radio stations in that it has no live disc jockeys and guarantees to tell listeners the name and artist of every song played.

The Dimond Center is a regional shopping mall in Anchorage, Alaska, United States, located on the southwest corner of East Dimond Boulevard and the Old Seward Highway in south Anchorage. This is the largest enclosed mall in the state of Alaska, though the open-air Tikahtnu Commons in NE Anchorage has a greater GLA. The 728,000 square feet (67,600 m2) mall is anchored by Best Buy, Dave & Buster's and a 9-screen Regal Cinemas theater. In total the Dimond Center contains over 200 stores, restaurants and services, including a six-story office tower at the mall's southeast corner. According to its site, the congregation includes Muslims from Europe, Asia, and Africa, as well as converted native Alaskans. The mosque is intended to serve Anchorage's approximately 3,000 diverse Muslims in a 15,000-square-foot-facility (1,400 m2).The organization is constructing Alaska's first mosque, which will be the third northernmost mosque in North America. It is located at Spring Street and E. 80th Avenue in Anchorage, Alaska.Ground was broken in October 2010 for the construction of the mosque, school, and Islamic center.

It is one of the state conventions associated with the Southern Baptist Convention. Japan Air Lines Cargo Flight 46E was a scheduled cargo flight on 31 March 1993, operated by Evergreen International Airlines, on behalf of Japan Air Lines, from Anchorage International Airport, in Anchorage, Alaska, to O'Hare International Airport, in Chicago. After departure, while climbing through 2,000 feet, the pylon for engine two detached, causing the whole engine to fall off the wing. The pilots managed to land the 747 back at Anchorage without further incident. The NTSB concluded that the lateral separation of the No. 2 engine pylon was possibly due to an encounter with severe or possibly extreme turbulence that resulted in dynamic multi-axis lateral loadings that exceeded the ultimate Iateral load-carrying capability of the pylon, which was already reduced by the presence of the fatigue crack near the forward end of the pylon's forward firewall web.

Capitol International Airways Flight C2C3/26 was a chartered McDonnell Douglas DC-8 Military Airlift Command (MAC) contract flight operated by Capitol Air (then known as Capitol International Airways) from McChord Field in Tacoma to Cam Ranh Bay in Southern Vietnam via stopovers at Anchorage and at Yokota Air Base in Japan. The aircraft crashed after a botched take-off attempt from Runway 6R at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport on November 27, 1970. Of the 229 persons aboard the jet, 47 perished due to the post-crash fire with 49 persons injured.The National Transportation Safety Board conducted an investigation into the accident. It released its final report on March 29, 1972, and concluded that the probable cause of the accident was the unintended deployment of the brakes on the landing gear which reduced the acceleration of the aircraft preventing rotation. The cause of the brake deployment was disputed, either due to a faulty brake hydraulic system or an inadvertently engaged parking brake.
