Düsseldorf-Derendorf

Pempelfort is a city part in the North-east of the central District 1 of Düsseldorf. It borders on Stadtmitte, Derendorf, the Cologne–Duisburg railway, connecting Flingern and Düsseltal, Oberbilk, Golzheim and the river Rhine. Pempelfort has about 26,800 inhabitants in an area of 2.69 km², or nearly 10,000 inhabitants per km². Some important institutions such as the District Administration / Prefecture of Düsseldorf (Bezirksregierung Düsseldorf) and the Higher Court of Düsseldorf (Oberlandesgericht) are located in Pempelfort. The head offices of the energy company E.ON and the Victoria Insurance company are also in Pempelfort. There are museums and a music hall in Pempelfort: Theatermuseum (Museum of Theatre) Museum Kunstpalast (Ehrenhof) NRW Forum (Ehrenhof) Tonhalle Düsseldorf (Music Hall, Ehrenhof)The central park of Düsseldorf, the Hofgarten, and the Rheinpark are the two green areas in the borough. The Rochuskirche, a church dedicated to St. Rochus, was partially destroyed in World War II and has only one surviving tower; the rest of the church is in experimental style.

Düsseldorf Zoo station is located about two kilometres north of Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof in central Düsseldorf in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Cologne–Duisburg line and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. The station is defined by Deutsche Bahn as a Haltepunkt (roughly "halt") as it is not a junction and has no crossovers.

ARAG Tower is a 31-storey, 124.9 m (410 ft) office skyscraper, in the northern district of Mörsenbroich, Düsseldorf, Germany. The tower is the tallest building in Düsseldorf, and it serves as headquarters for the leading legal insurer worldwide, the ARAG Group.The architect firms of Foster + Partners and Rhode Kellermann Wawrowsky collaborated on the project, and Hochtief project management. Construction took place between 1998 and 2001 with the final cost of the building being €46 million.

Düsseltal is a borough of Düsseldorf with a rather well-off population and developed around an old convent. It is also known as Düsseldorf-Zoo (after Düsseltal's S-Bahn station), because, until 1943, there was a zoological garden in Düsseltal. The word Düsseltal is German for the valley of the river Düssel.

The Chapel of St. Roch in Düsseldorf, Germany, was a chapel that existed from 1667 to 1897.

The Schloss Jägerhof, formerly also called die Vénerie (French for hunting), is located at Jacobistraße 2 in Düsseldorf-Pempelfort, near the city centre. It was built between 1752 and 1763 by order of the Prince-elector Karl Theodor. At that time, the castle was still located outside the city gates. The palace is a point de vue of the Hofgarten riding avenue and the Jägerhofstraße. Since 1987, the castle has housed the Goethe-Museum and the Ernst Schneider Foundation.

The New Synagogue (German: Leo Baeck Saal) is the synagogue of the Jewish community in Düsseldorf, Germany. The synagogue was built in the Golzheim district, far from the site of the former synagogue, which was located in the city center at Kasernenstraße. There the synagogue, built in 1905, was pillaged and burned by SA men during the Kristallnacht in 1938.The synagogue is named after rabbi Leo Baeck, who served as a pulpit rabbi in Düsseldorf. It was inaugurated in September 1958. On 3 October 2000, the synagogue was firebombed. Since then, there is a constant police watch over the synagogue.

The Düsseldorf tramway network (German: Straßenbahnnetz Düsseldorf) is a network of tramways serving Düsseldorf, the capital city of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. In combination with the Düsseldorf Stadtbahn and Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn, it forms the backbone of the public transport system in Düsseldorf. The tramway network is currently operated by Rheinbahn AG, and is integrated in the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR). As of 2016, its seven tram lines ran over 78.0 kilometres (48.5 mi) of route, serving 178 stops.

As second largest city of the Rhineland, Düsseldorf holds Rhenish Carnival celebrations every year in February/March, the Düsseldorf carnival celebrations being the third most popular in Germany after those held in Cologne and Mainz.There are 22 institutions of higher education in the city including the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, the university of applied sciences (Hochschule Düsseldorf), the academy of arts (Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, whose members include Joseph Beuys, Emanuel Leutze, August Macke, Gerhard Richter, Sigmar Polke, and Andreas Gursky), and the university of music (Robert-Schumann-Musikhochschule Düsseldorf). The Malkastenpark (Paintbox park) is a historic private park, now in the centre of Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The name refers to a group of artists, Malkasten, founded in 1848. The park is also known as also Jacobigarten, after the original owners who created a Baroque garden. It is now a public garden with both Baroque features and English landscape garden elements, and a listed historic monument.

Düsseldorf Wehrhahn station is located about one kilometre north of Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof in central Düsseldorf in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Cologne–Duisburg line and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station.Düsseldorf Wehrhahn is also a stop for several bus routes. It is also stop of the new Wehrhahn-line which consists four Stadtbahn lines.

The Alte Tonhalle was a municipal social and concert hall in Düsseldorf.
