Stopsley High School is a co-educational secondary school located in the Stopsley area of Luton, Bedfordshire, England.

High Town is an inner area of Luton immediately north of Luton railway station, and a ward of the Borough of Luton, in the ceremonial county of Bedfordshire, England. The area and ward are officially spelled as two separate words. This is also the most common spelling of the name, but some organisations and businesses use 'Hightown', e.g. Hightown Baptist Church and Hightown Community, Sports & Arts Centre.

Wardown House Museum and Gallery formerly Wardown Park Museum and, before that, the Luton Museum & Art Gallery in Luton, is housed in a large Victorian mansion in Wardown Park on the outskirts of the town centre. The museum collection focuses on the traditional crafts of Bedfordshire, notably lace-making and hat-making. There are samples of Bedfordshire lace from as early as the 17th century.

The Painters Arms is a Grade II listed pub in Luton, England.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.It was rebuilt in 1913.Seán Ó Roideacháin's poem 'High Town Road' (or 'Baile Ard Luton' in Irish) is about Irish emigrants in The Painters Arms and The Freeholder on High Town Road during the late 1980s.

Luton International Carnival is a large carnival in Luton, Bedfordshire. The carnival is commissioned by Luton Borough Council and is artistically produced by UK Centre for Carnival Arts, which is based in Luton town centre. Traditionally it took place on the Spring Bank Holiday Monday every year, but since 2013 it has been on the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend. The route of the procession has varied over the years; in 2016 it started at Wardown Park and made its way along New Bedford Road, Stockingstone Road, Old Bedford Road, Cromwell Hill and back to Wardown Park.

Wardown Park is situated on the River Lea in Luton. The park has various sporting facilities, is home to the Wardown Park Museum and contains formal gardens. The park is located between Old Bedford Road and the A6, New Bedford Road and is within walking distance of the town centre.

The area is roughly bounded by Old Bedford Road/Cromer Way roundabout to the north; Wardown Park and Wardown Crescent to the south; the A6 to the west; and Old Bedford Road, Elmwood Crescent and Wardown Crescent to the east.
