Leintwardine ( LENT-wər-dyne) is a small to mid-size village and civil parish in north Herefordshire, England, close to the border with Shropshire.

The Sun Inn is a Grade II listed, parlour pub in Leintwardine, Herefordshire, England.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.The 200+ year old establishment, one of the UK's last remaining parlour pubs, had been owned and operated by resident Flossie Lane, who was born in the Sun Inn in 1914, and took over ownership more than 70 years ago, until her death in June 2009 aged 94.Without anyone to take her place, there had been fears that it would be sold for redevelopment, but with the help of CAMRA, and the Save the Sun Inn campaign, the pub was purchased from Flossie's nieces, who were keen for it to remain a pub, by a neighbour and friend of Flossie's and a local brewery owner.The new owners added a rear pavilion-style extension which has become the main bar venue. The original two front rooms remain, a red-brick public bar and the more comfortable parlour.

The River Clun runs mostly through Shropshire, England and joins the River Teme at Leintwardine, Herefordshire. The Clun Valley is part of the Shropshire Hills AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

Marlow is a hamlet in north Herefordshire, England. It lies in the civil parish of Leintwardine, on the B4385 road 1.2 miles (1.9 km) north of that village. The River Clun flows to the west. Immediately to the north and west is the border with Shropshire. On the other side of the Clun (and in Shropshire) is the hamlet of Broadward. Between Marlow and Leintwardine is Stormer Hall. A Roman road runs just to the east of the hamlet; it is today a footpath only. The placename derives from "place on the boundary hill". There is a Royal Mail post box in the hamlet.

Shelderton is a hamlet in south Shropshire, England. It is located just southeast of the village of Clungunford and is part of that village's civil parish.It was a medieval township and belonged to Munslow hundred.The border with Herefordshire is nearby to the south. The small hamlet of Little Common is near to Shelderton, on the B4367 road, and is connected with Shelderton by a footpath (grid reference SO398776). Also on the B4367, near to where the Leintwardine lane from Shelderton meets the B4367, is a Grade II Listed house called The Lynches (grid reference SO396769).The nearest market towns are Craven Arms and Ludlow. A Roman road runs through Shelderton, on its way between the Roman fort and settlement at Leintwardine and the city at Wroxeter. There is a Royal Mail post box in the hamlet.

The A4113 road is a single-carriageway road that runs from Knighton in Powys to Bromfield in Shropshire, United Kingdom, passing through north Herefordshire. From Knighton (and the A488) it heads east along the southern side of the Teme valley (heading downstream), crossing the England–Wales border into Herefordshire, then across the River Teme via Leintwardine Bridge (at 119 metres (390 ft) above sea level). The route then follows a Roman Road north through the Roman village of Leintwardine, leaving the Teme behind. From Leintwardine the route heads rapidly up into the Leintwardine hills, passing at 242 metres (794 ft) above sea level, before descending into Shropshire and terminating at Bromfield (A49), 2 miles (3.2 km) northwest of Ludlow, at an elevation of 91 metres (299 ft) and also returning close to the River Teme. In total the A4113 is 14.0 miles (22.5 km) in length.

Jay is a hamlet in north Herefordshire, England. It lies in the civil parish of Leintwardine, on the other side of the River Clun 1 mile (1.6 km) northwest of that village. The lane between Jay and Leintwardine is called Jay Lane and the bridge over the Clun is Jay Bridge. The minor River Redlake passes Jay and then joins the Clun just south of Jay Bridge.The hamlets of Jay and nearby Heath formed a single township and whilst in the present day form part of the civil parish of Leintwardine, and thus a part of Herefordshire, they were regarded as being part of Shropshire until the mid-19th century. A Roman auxiliary cavalry fort was situated at Jay Lane.Its name, and that of the nearby hamlet of Beckjay (about 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) north), is probably a reference to the family of Elias de Jay, who held the local manor of Bedston until 1349. A relative of this family, Brian de Jay, was the last recorded master of the English Knights Templar. To the north is the hamlet of Broadward (in Shropshire), to the west is the small village of Bedstone (in Shropshire), and to the south is the hamlet of Buckton (in Herefordshire).

Brandon Camp is an archaeological site, about 1 mile south of Leintwardine, in Herefordshire. England. It is a hillfort of the Iron Age, which later became a Roman fort. The site is a scheduled monument.

Beckjay is a hamlet in the south of the English county of Shropshire. Its name, and that of the nearby hamlet of Jay (about 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) south), is probably a reference to the family of Elias de Jay, who held the local manor of Bedston until 1349. A relative of this family, Brian de Jay, was the last recorded master of the English Knights Templar. Forming part of the civil parish of Clungunford, Beckjay is close to the border with Herefordshire on the west bank of the River Clun. It was a medieval township. Nearby are the hamlets of Hopton Heath, which has a railway station on the Heart of Wales Line, and Broadward with its 18th-century hall. There is a Royal Mail post box in the hamlet. The settlement also features a house with a thatched-roof. A duck pond exists just to the south of the settlement, downhill from it. The former Beckjay Mill (situated to the northeast of the hamlet, on the Clun) was the subject of several paintings by David Cox.

Broadward is a dispersed hamlet in south Shropshire, England, situated by the border with Herefordshire. It is in the civil parish of Clungunford, a village approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) to the north.

Buckton Roman Fort is an archaeological site at Buckton, about 1 mile south-west of Leintwardine, in Herefordshire. England. it is a scheduled monument.

Downton is a civil parish in Herefordshire, located in the north of the county and containing the village of Downton-on-the-Rock. It is part of the Leintwardine group of parishes and shares a parish council with Leintwardine and Burrington. In the Domesday Book Downton is referred to as "Duntune", meaning "hill settlement". At Downton Gorge the River Teme cuts through a limestone ridge; above the gorge is Downton Castle, an 18th-century country house with a tower built to resemble a castle.
