Trent College is a co-educational independent boarding and day school located in Long Eaton, Derbyshire between Nottingham and Derby. Founded in 1868 as a local ’middle class alternative’ to the more famous public schools, it is now a coeducational school and a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference. It has over 1,000 pupils, including 760 pupils in the Senior School and 330 pupils in the Junior School (The Elms School). On the 28 March 2014, the governors announced that Bill Penty would be taking over as Head from September 2014 onward.
