The China World Trade Center (simplified Chinese: 中国国际贸易中心; traditional Chinese: 中國國際貿易中心; pinyin: Zhōngguó guójì màoyì zhōngxīn) is located in Chaoyang District, the central business district of Beijing. The construction of the complex started in 1985 and was completed in 2010 after the completion of the China World Trade Center Tower 3. China World Trade Center is a subsidiary group of the Kuok group founded in 1985 and owned by two cooperating companies: the China Shi Mao Investment and Kerry Industrial Company. The China World Trade Center is the largest building complex of Beijing consisting of around 14 components including hotels all of Shangri-La, shopping malls, offices, apartments, convention rooms, and an exhibition hall. It can be located in the Beijing central business district in Guomao. China World Trade Center is well known for being the largest upmarket commercial mixed-use site in the world and for keeping its reputation as an internationally friendly community. It is widely reputed as "The Place Where China Meets The World". China World Trade Center has won many awards and achievements over the past few years. One of their most notable buildings, the China World Trade Center Tower 3, is the tallest building in Beijing and reaches up to 330 m. Though it officially opened on 30 August 1990, it was already filling tenants by 1989. Phase 1 of construction was completed in 1990. Phase 2 was completed in 1999, and Phase 3 started in 2005. Phase 3A was completed in August 2010. The original construction was designed by architects Robert Sobel/Emery Roth & Sons with associate architect Nikken Sekkei. Phase 3 was designed by architects Skidmore, Owings and Merrill.

The Beijing central business district, or Beijing CBD (simplified Chinese: 北京商务中心区; traditional Chinese: 北京商務中心區; pinyin: Běijīng Shāngwù Zhōngxīn Qū), is a central business district and the primary area for finance, media, and business services in Beijing, China.Beijing CBD occupies 3.99 km2 of the Chaoyang District on the east side of the city. Geographically situated to the east of the city center, sandwiched between the 3rd Ring Road and the 4th Ring Road, the Beijing CBD is currently undergoing large-scale development.

China World Trade Center Tower III is a supertall skyscraper with 74 floors, 5 underground floors, and 30 elevators in Beijing, China. It is the third phase of development of the China World Trade Center complex in Beijing's central business district of Chaoyang at the junction of the East Third Ring Road and Jianguomen Outer Street (Jian Guo Men Wai Dajie). The building topped out at 330 m (1,083 ft) on 29 October 2007 and completed in 2010. It is the second tallest building in Beijing. It is used for office and hotel space, with retail at its base. The building houses a 278-room 5-star hotel, a 1,600-seat grand ballroom and a carpark. The office space is located on floors 1 to 55. Floors 64 to 77 are occupied by the China World Summit Wing Hotel with a lobby on the 64th floor. Floors 79 to 81 are used for a restaurant and an observation deck. The four elevators that lead directly from the lobby to the 64th floor are Schindler 7000 and reach a maximum speed of 10 metres per second.The building was constructed by the architectural group: Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill - the same company that is credited with the construction of One World Trade Center in New York City, which was constructed after the September 11 terrorist attacks. In 2010 the China World Trade Center Tower III became the world's tallest building with a roof-top helipad, surpassing the US Bank Tower. Its helipad is 330 m (1,083 feet) high compared to the US Bank Tower's helipad at 310.3 m (1,018 feet). As of Dec, 2018, China World Trade Center Tower III is the second tallest building with a roof-top helipad, with the tallest being the Guangzhou International Finance Center tower which is located in Guangzhou with a height of 439 m (1,439 feet) high.

China World Hotel, Beijing (Chinese: 中国大饭店) is a five-star hotel of the Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts group (Chinese: 香格里拉酒店集團). It is located next to The China World Trade Center in Chaoyang District, the central business district of Beijing, China, and attached to the China World Mall.

The CCTV Headquarters is a 51-floor skyscraper formed out of a pair of conjoined towers that sits on the East Third Ring Road, Guanghua Road in the Beijing Central Business District (CBD) and serves as the headquarters for China Central Television (CCTV). Rem Koolhaas and Ole Scheeren of OMA were the architects in charge for the building, while Cecil Balmond at Arup provided the complex engineering design. The building's construction began on 1 June 2004 and its façade was completed in January 2008. The structure was feted by some architectural critics as "the greatest work of architecture built in this century" and was named the 2013 Best Tall Building Worldwide by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.

Beijing Yintai Centre Tower 2 (simplified Chinese: 北京银泰中心 2; traditional Chinese: 北京銀泰中心 2; pinyin: Běijīng Yíntài Zhōngxīn Èr) is a 63-floor 250 meter (820 foot) tall skyscraper completed in 2007 located in Beijing Yintai Centre, Beijing, China. It includes a hotel and residences.

Beijing Yintai Centre (simplified Chinese: 北京银泰中心; traditional Chinese: 北京銀泰中心; pinyin: Běijīng Yíntài Zhōngxīn) is located in the core of the Beijing central business district. It is a three-towered structure with the central tower rising 250 m high and the two flanking towers about 186 m. The central tower consists of Park Hyatt Beijing, penthouses and residences. The project was designed by John Portman. Structural engineering was done by LeMessurier Consultants.

Yong'anli station (Chinese: 永安里站; pinyin: Yǒng'ānlǐ Zhàn) is a station on Line 1 of the Beijing Subway. Automatic platform gates were installed at this station on 18 July 2016, making Yong'anli Station the first station on Line 1 to install platform gates.

The Television Cultural Center (TVCC; Chinese: 中央电视台电视文化中心) is a 34-story skyscraper on East Third Ring Road, Guanghua Road in the Central Business District (CBD) of Beijing, China. It was due to open in mid-May 2009 containing a hotel, a theater, and several studios. It finally opened on 16 May 2012 due to a major fire.

Guomao Station (simplified Chinese: 国贸站; traditional Chinese: 國貿站; pinyin: Guómào Zhàn) is an interchange station on Line 1 and Line 10 of the Beijing Subway at the China World Trade Center. Guomao is the Chinese abbreviation for China World Trade Center. It is located in Chaoyang District. The station handled a peak passenger traffic of 359,800 people on May 5, 2013.

The Beijing Television Cultural Center fire was a massive blaze on 9 February 2009, in the Beijing central business district of Beijing, involving the uncompleted Beijing Television Cultural Center (TVCC) building. The building was adjacent to the CCTV Headquarters and owned by China Central Television (CCTV), was scheduled for completion in May 2009. The TVCC has been rebuilt and was opened in 2012. At 8:27 p.m. on 9 February 2009, on the last day of the festivities marking Chinese New Year, the entire building caught fire due to a nearby unsanctioned fireworks display; it was put out six hours later.The incident, and its coverage by Chinese state media, caused a furor in China. CCTV officials had carried out powerful pyrotechnics without the required permit from local government, and ignored repeated police warnings not to hold them. The authorities' attempts to censor news of the blaze were widely denounced by citizens as well as the international press.

Fortune Plaza is located in central business district of Chaoyang, Beijing, nearby Kerry center; China World Trade Center and the CCTV Headquarters building. It is a mixed use development with a total construction area of 720,000 square meters, covering 92,100 square meters of land.It contains Fortune Plaza 1 (2006) as phase 1 and Fortune Heights (2008) as phase 2 and Fortune Financial Center (2014) as phase 3.
