Vixen Tor is a tor on Dartmoor, England. The tor is on private land and since 2003 access by the public has been banned, causing protests and mass trespassing by hikers and climbers.

Great Mis Tor is a hill with a rocky outcrop situated in Dartmoor. It has been called one of the grandest hills in Devon, and lies above the River Walkham, about 4 miles north-east of Princetown. There is a notable rock basin on the peak, called the Mis Tor Pan or The Devil's Frying Pan.The hill and surrounding area is on land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall, which is leased to the army. There have been cases of deaths and injury to the public caused by unexploded munitions in the area.

Sampford Spiney is a village and civil parish in the Walkham valley, about 4 miles east south east of Tavistock, in the West Devon district, in the county of Devon, England. In 2011 the parish had a population of 117. The parish touches Walkhampton, Whitchurch and Horrabridge.

The tor is one of the boundary points mentioned in the perambulations of the Forest of Dartmoor.Standing on the summit is the North Hessary Tor transmitting station, an FM radio and television transmitter which uses a 196 metres (643 ft) high guyed mast. It was built by the BBC in 1955 when a transmitter was needed to introduce 405-line television into Devon. It now carries a small UHF TV transmitter which serves Princetown and Dartmoor. FM radio transmissions began in 1956 and cover most of Devon and eastern parts of Cornwall.

Huckworthy is a small hamlet on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon, England. With just 11 houses in a steep valley the hamlet epitomizes the rural wilds of the area. The River Walkham runs through it, dissecting the community in half and setting the scene for the picturesque Huckworthy Bridge that has been featured in wildlife, travel and historical programs over the years. The bridge is also featured in Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady.The bridge provides inspiration as a place of great tranquility, but also of innovation and commerce - Huckworthy Mill provided the first electricity into the local villages in the early 20th century, Wedgwood [1] allegedly sourced some of the first cobalt for its famous blue china on the Mill property, old silver mines dot the valley and various small businesses still thrive there to this day.

Cudlipptown or Cudliptown is a small village located near the western edge of Dartmoor National Park, northeast of Tavistock, and approximately one mile northeast of Peter Tavy. The village comprises a few houses, with a post box embedded in the front garden wall of one of the houses. A 15th-century inn, the Peter Tavy Inn, is found in the village of Peter Tavy nearby.

Peter Tavy () is a village 3 miles (4.8 km) along the A386, northeast of Tavistock, Devon, England. It is named after the River Tavy. St Peter's Parish Church is largely built of granite and has a buttressed west tower. Near Peter Tavy Moor, marked by a granite post, is the grave of George Stephens (d. 1763), who is said to have committed suicide after losing the prospect of marriage to Mary Bray, a farmer's daughter. He was buried outside the parish boundary, as was the custom for suicides, and it is said that his ghost still haunts the nearby moor to this day. At Willsworthy is a former manor house with a chapel (converted into a house). The village has a 15th-century inn, the Peter Tavy Inn.
