Sands Point is a village located at the northernmost tip of the Cow Neck Peninsula in the Town of North Hempstead, in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. It is considered part of the Greater Port Washington area, which is anchored by Port Washington. The population was 2,675 at the 2010 census.

Sands Family Cemetery is a historic cemetery located at Sands Point in Nassau County, New York. It was established about 1704 and includes burials through 1867. It includes 12 rows of 86 extant headstones. Records indicate the cemetery contains 112 members of the family, relatives, and friends. It includes a number of notable examples of funerary art.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Manorhaven Beach Park – also known as Manorhaven Town Park, Manorhaven Beach, Manorhaven Pool, and Manorhaven Park – is a major, 20-acre (8.1 ha) park owned and operated by the Town of North Hempstead, located along Manhasset Bay within the Incorporated Village of Manorhaven, in Nassau County, New York, United States.

Sands Point Country Day School (also known as Sands Point Academy) was an elementary and high school (K-12) located in Sands Point, New York, from 1954 to 1974. The school was started by Marie L. Fetsch as a summer school and went to full-year operation in 1961. From 1962 to 1971, Benjamin Fine was headmaster of the school. In the July 31, 1972 issue of New York magazine, a lengthy article by Nicholas Gonzalez raised serious questions about the integrity of the school and its founder. In August, 1972, six families sued the school and its founder, alleging fraud. The school was sold in 1973, operated for one year as Elm Court school, and closed in 1974.

Sands Point Seaplane Base (FAA LID: 7N3) is a seaplane landing area in Manhasset Bay, two miles (3 km) northwest of Port Washington, in Nassau County, New York. During 1939-40 Sands Point was the New York base of Pan American's transatlantic Boeing 314 flights.

Thomas Dodge Homestead is a historic home in Port Washington, Nassau County, New York. It is a settlement-era farmhouse dated to 1721 with additions completed in approximately 1750 and 1903. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, L-shaped, heavy timber-frame building sheathed with natural cedar wood shingles. The main block has a saltbox shape and there is a nearly square, 1+1⁄2-story gable-roofed wing. Also on the property are a contributing barn (1880), privy (1886), chicken coop, and shed. It is operated as a historic house museum by the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society, which has its headquarters in the Sands-Willets Homestead, another historic house museum. Thomas Dodge Homestead was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Port Washington Water Pollution Control District (abbreviated as PWWPCD) is a public sewer district in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. It serves the Greater Port Washington area of Long Island's North Shore.

Beacon Towers was a Gilded Age mansion on Sands Point in the village of Sands Point on the North Shore of Long Island, New York. It was built from 1917 to 1918 for Alva Belmont, the ex-wife of William Kissam Vanderbilt and the widow, since 1908, of Oliver Belmont.
