North West FM (call sign: 3NOW) is a community radio station based in Hadfield, a suburb of north west Melbourne, Australia. Its broadcast area covers the City of Moreland, City of Hume and the City of Moonee Valley. Extended coverage provides reception in the southern part of the Mitchell Shire, in particular to the suburbs of Donnybrook and Beveridge, along the Hume Highway, north of Craigieburn.

Robert Russell (13 February 1808 – 10 April 1900) was an architect and surveyor, active in Australia. He conducted the first survey of the site of the nascent settlement of Melbourne on the banks of the Yarra River in 1836, and designed St James Old Cathedral, the oldest building remaining in central Melbourne (albeit not on its original site). He was also a prolific and talented artist and his work is held by major libraries and galleries in Australia.

Melbourne Immigration Transit Accommodation (MITA) is an Australian immigration detention centre in the Melbourne suburb of Broadmeadows. It was built on part of the Maygar Barracks site. It is operated by Serco under contract to the Australian Border Force.When it was constructed in 2008, it provided short-term hostel-style accommodation using the former officer's mess. It has since been extended, including a high-security compound opened in 2018. The high-security compound replaced the Maribyrnong Immigration Detention Centre which was closed at the end of 2018.

Maygar Army Barracks is located in Broadmeadows, Victoria. It was the training area for the Australian Light Horse during World War I. The barracks was named after Victoria Cross winner Leslie Maygar, who received the award for his actions during the Second Boer War 1901 and later assisted in establishing the base in 1914. He was subsequently killed during the Battle of Beersheba in 1917.The Melbourne Immigration Transit Accommodation facility was built on part of the site in 2008 using the former officer's mess.

Campbellfield was a former railway station on the Upfield railway line between Upfield and Gowrie, located in the suburb of Campbellfield, Victoria, just to the north of the level crossing at Camp Road. The station opened in 1889, and closed when passenger service ceased in 1956. The primitive Mallee Shed, which provided the only passenger accommodation, was removed, and no trace of the station remained. In 2006, it was suggested that that the station might be rebuilt in the not-too-distant future, due to the existence of the Campbellfield Plaza shopping centre nearby, but nothing concrete came of that. However, in April 2017, the Victorian Planning Authority released its draft plan for the area, including the construction of a station at Campbellfield.Between October and December 2017, the Camp Road level crossing, protected by boom gates, was replaced. The rail line was lowered to pass under the road, and provision was made for both the installation of a second track and the construction of a possible future railway station.
