Huise is a village on a hill within the municipality of Zingem, part of the province of East Flanders in Belgium.

Ouwegem is a village and deelgemeente (sub-municipality) in the municipality of Kruisem in the province of East Flanders in Belgium. The village is located on the edge of the Flemish Ardennes and about 17 kilometres (11 mi) south-west of Ghent.

Eine is a village located in the province of East Flanders, Belgium. Since 1965, it has been a deelgemeente (subdivision) of the municipality of Oudenaarde.

Bevere is a village in the municipality of Oudenaarde. It is located in the Flemish Ardennes, the hilly southern part of the province of East Flanders, Belgium. In the mid-19th century, it started to form a single urban area with Oudenaarde, but retained some rural parts.

Oudenaarde (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʌu̯dənaːrdə] (listen); French: Audenarde [odnaʁd]; in English sometimes Oudenarde) is a Belgian municipality in the Flemish province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Oudenaarde proper and the towns of Bevere, Edelare, Eine, Ename, Heurne, Leupegem, Mater, Melden, Mullem, Nederename, Volkegem, Welden and a part of Ooike. From the 15th to the 18th century, but especially in the 16th century, Oudenaarde was a world-known centre of tapestry production. The town's name, meaning “old field”, still lingers on in “outnal”, an obsolete English term for a kind of brown linen thread.

The Arrondissement of Oudenaarde (Dutch: Arrondissement Oudenaarde; French: Arrondissement d'Audenarde) is one of the six administrative arrondissements in the Province of East Flanders, Belgium. It is both an administrative and a judicial arrondissement. However, the Judicial Arrondissement of Oudenaarde also comprises the municipalities of Geraardsbergen, Herzele, Sint-Lievens-Houtem and Zottegem in the Arrondissement of Aalst.

The 1957 Cyclo-cross World Championship was the eighth edition of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. For the first time, it was organized in Belgium in Edelare, East Flanders. Some 30,000 spectators lined a 4,100-meter course, which included the Hell of Kerselare—a fifteen-meter-deep pit—and which had to be circled five times, bringing the total distance of this edition to 20.5 kilometers. Four riders from each of eight countries participated, including the GDR, which sent a team for the first time, three from the Netherlands, and two each from the debuting countries of Hungary and Sweden. André Dufraisse secured his fourth consecutive title with his seventh consecutive podium finish in as many starts. In his eighth appearance, 'home rider' Firmin Van Kerrebroeck became the first Belgian to reach the podium, finishing second.

Moregem is a village in the municipality of Wortegem-Petegem located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The village has as European sister village the French village Moringhem. It was an independent municipality until 1971 when it merged into Wortegem-Petegem.

Ename Abbey (1063–1795) was a Benedictine monastery in the village of Ename, now a suburb of Oudenaarde. It was founded by Adele of France, wife of Baldwin V, Count of Flanders, and was confiscated during the French Revolutionary Wars. It was then sold and dismantled. The archaeological development of the site began with the work of Adelbert Van de Walle in the 1940s. Since 1998 it has been part of the Provincial Archaeological Park attached to the provincial archaeological museum (PAM Ename).

The Saint Laurentius Church of Ename was built shortly before the year 1000 by Herman, Count of Verdun. The only Ottonian building surviving in Ename, it is today the parish church of the village.
