Brentside High School is a coeducational foundation secondary school and sixth form in West London, England, located on the border between Hanwell and Greenford in the London Borough of Ealing. The current school building which opened in September 2004, was purpose built and designed by architects Seymour Harris.

Ealing, Southall & Middlesex Athletics Club (known as ESMAC, or ESM for short) is an athletics club based in Ealing, West London, England. It is based at the Perivale Park Athletics Track. The club competes at all levels in senior and junior road racing, cross country, and track and field.

All trains serving South Greenford are operated by Great Western Railway. The station is located on the A40, south of Greenford Green, north-east of Greenford Broadway, and just west of Perivale.

Cuckoo Schools was a large school for children of destitute families which was created as the Central London District Poor Law School by the City of London and the East London and St. Saviour Workhouse Unions in 1857. It was built on the land of Cuckoo Farm on Cuckoo Hill in 190 acres of Hanwell. 20 acres were kept as a working farm to educate and feed the children. The school was closed down in 1933. In the same year a large housing estate began to be built on the 140-acre site around the school. This was completed in 1939. Some damage due to a flying bomb was sustained during World War II. The estate which became known as the Cuckoo Estate is now a conservation area.The school buildings which remain, consisting of the old administrative block, are now used as the Hanwell Community Centre on Westcott Crescent, and they are a Grade II listed building since 19 January 1981. In 2015 the London Welsh School moved into the building.

Trailfinders Sports Ground (TFSG) is a rugby ground in West Ealing, London, England, which is the home of Ealing Trailfinders rugby union. London Broncos rugby league club spent one final season at the ground, having been based at TFSG on a permanent basis between 2016 and 2020.

Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club is an English professional rugby union club based in West London. The club's first team are the currrent champions of the RFU Championship but will remain in that league due to ineligibility for promotion to Premiership Rugby. They were promoted to the league after they won National League 1 in 2014–15.

Castle Bar Park railway station is in the London Borough of Ealing in west London, England and is in Travelcard Zone 4. It is on the Greenford branch line, 78 chains (1.6 km) down the line from West Ealing and 7 miles 44 chains (12.2 km) measured from London Paddington. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Great Western Railway. When opened in 1904, it was called Castle Bar Park Halt. The ticket office opens only morning peak hours from Monday to Friday; ticket machines were removed in 2005 due to persistent vandalism. New aluminium and perspex passenger shelters and a replacement "help point" machine were added in 2006. There is also a footbridge linking the platforms so step free access is limited to the Greenford bound platform only.As of October 2008, Oyster "pay as you go" can be used for journeys originating or ending at Castle Bar Park.

Greenford () is a suburb in the London Borough of Ealing in west London, England, lying 11 miles (18 km) west from Charing Cross. It has a population of 46,787 inhabitants, or 62,126 with the inclusion of Perivale. Greenford is served by Greenford Station (London Underground Central Line and Greenford branch of the Great Western Railway mainline service). South Greenford mainline station (on the A40 Western Avenue, also on the Greenford branch of the GWR) is actually in Perivale. Neither station is in Greenford Town Centre (Greenford Broadway), which instead is served by many local buses. Nearby places include Yeading, Hanwell, Perivale, Southall, Northolt, Ealing, Sudbury and Sudbury Hill. The most prominent landmark in the suburb is Horsenden Hill, 279 feet (85 m) above sea level. Greenford covers a large area, including the two miles of Greenford Road, giving it three localities: North Greenford, Greenford Green, and Greenford Broadway – this is also reflected in the names of the electoral wards. Though a separate "town" within the borough of Ealing, the Royal Mail includes Perivale within the Greenford post area and as such the two share the UB6 postcode.

Ealing North is a constituency, created in 1950. Since the 2019 general election, it has been represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament by James Murray of the Labour Co-operative party.

Hanwell () is a town in the London Borough of Ealing, in the historic County of Middlesex, England. It is about 1.5 miles west of Ealing Broadway and had a population of 28,768 as of 2011. It is the westernmost location of the London post town. Hanwell is mentioned in the Domesday Book. St Mary's Church was established in the tenth century and has been rebuilt three times since, the present church dating to 1842. Schools were established around this time in Hanwell; notably Central London District School which Charlie Chaplin attended. By the end of the 19th century there were over one thousand houses in Hanwell. The Great Western Railway came in 1838 and Hanwell railway station opened. Later the trams of London United Tramways came on the Uxbridge Road in 1904, running from Chiswick to Southall. From 1894 it was its own urban district of Middlesex until being absorbed into Ealing Urban District in 1926.To its west flows the River Brent, which marks Hanwell's boundary with Southall. There are several green spaces including Brent Valley Park, Elthorne Park and Cuckoo Park; meanwhile, the Hanwell Zoo is a popular local attraction featuring small mammals, birds and other wildlife. Its elevation is approximately 49 feet (15 m). The town holds its own annual Hanwell Carnival, London's oldest carnival.

Pitshanger Dynamo Football Club is a football club based in Ealing, Greater London, England. They are currently members of the Middlesex County League Premier Division and play at Hanwell Town's Reynolds Field ground in Perivale.
