60. Yıl Parkı (60th Year Park) is an underground metro station under construction, and the southern terminus of the M12 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is planned to enter service on 29 October 2026. The station, located under the Göztepe 60. Year Park in the Caddebostan neighbourhood of Kadıköy, will have 2 entrances.

Göztepe 60. Year Park (Turkish: Göztepe 60. Yıl Parkı), commonly referred to as just Göztepe Park(ı), is a park located in the Caddebostan neighborhood and the Göztepe quarter in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul. To the north is Bağdat Avenue and to the south is Operatör Cemil Topuzlu Avenue. Inside the park, there are children playgrounds, flower gardens and exercise areas. In March 2024, the Kemal Sunal Museum, a Kemal Sunal themed museum, was opened inside of the park. The 60. Yıl Parkı metro station will be opened in the future, connecting the park to Ataşehir and Ümraniye through the M12 line.

Feneryolu railway station (Turkish: Feneryolu istasyonu) is a station under construction on the Marmaray commuter rail line in Kadıköy, Istanbul. It will replace the 145 year old railway station, built by the Ottoman Anatolian Railway. The original station was opened on 22 September 1872 by the Ottoman Empire and later taken over by the Ottoman Anatolian Railway in 1880. The station was then rebuilt in 1969 to accommodate new commuter trains which served the station until 19 February 2013, when all train service was suspended. The old station (except for the historic station building) was demolished and a new platform is under construction. Feneryolu is expected to open on 10 March 2019, along with the rest of the Maramaray line.The station will have two tracks with an island platform and one express track on the south side for high-speed and intercity trains.

Göztepe is a neighborhood in Kadiköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. The name, literally meaning "eye hill" in English, was coined to honor Gözcü Baba ("Father Watchman"), the nickname of the watchman of a dervish lodge situated on a hill there.The neighborhood on the Asian part of Istanbul is bordered in the south by Sahilyolu (Coastline) and the Sea of Marmara, in the north by Merdivenköy, in the east by Erenköy and in the west by Çiftehavuzlar neighborhoods. The notable high street of the Asian part of Istanbul, the Baghdad Avenue, runs through Göztepe. The city park of Göztepe is the largest green area along Baghdad Avenue covering 10,000 m2 (2.5 acres).

Caddebostan Synagogue is a synagogue built in 1953 in the Kadiköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. The name of the architect is Albert Arditi. As a result of the increase of the Jewish population in the area, the Synagogue is the most populated one on the Asian side of the city and visits and participation in prayers is possible by contacting the Chief Rabbinate. The synagogue was active with the demand made to the Turkish authorities by the Chief Rabbinate on the 1 April 1961.

Feneryolu is a neighbourhood in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. It covers an area of approximately 1.0 km². Located just inland from the Marmara Sea, Feneryolu is situated between the coastal neighbourhood of Fenerbahçe and the residential area of Fikirtepe. The name Feneryolu (literally "lighthouse road") is believed to refer to the historic route leading to the Fenerbahçe Lighthouse. It is bordered on the north by the Kadıköy neighborhood of Merdivenkoy, on the east by the Kadıköy neighborhood of Göztepe, on the south by Bağdat Avenue and the Kadıköy neighborhood of Fenerbahçe, and on the west by the Kadıköy neighborhood of Zühtüpaşa. The neighbourhood benefits from public transportation links, notably the Marmaray commuter rail network via its railway station and local bus services provided by İETT. Feneryolu's borders extend from the countrywide famous shopping street Bağdat Avenue to the major avenue of "Minibus Street" (Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Avenue).

Fenerbahçe is the name of a neighbourhood in Kadıköy district, Istanbul, Turkey, located on the Asian side at the shore of the Sea of Marmara. The name means "lighthouse garden" in Turkish (from fener, meaning "lighthouse", and bahçe, meaning "garden"), referring to a historic lighthouse located at Fenerbahçe cape. The neighbourhood has given its name to Fenerbahçe S.K., the professional sports club based in the area. However, the home stadium of the club, the Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, stands just outside the Fenerbahçe neighbourhood.

The iconoclast Council of Hieria was a Christian council of 754 which viewed itself as ecumenical, but was later rejected by the Second Council of Nicaea (787) and by Catholic and Orthodox churches, since none of the five major patriarchs were represented in Hieria. The Council of Hieria was summoned by the Byzantine Emperor Constantine V in 754 in the palace of Hieria at Chalcedon. The council supported the emperor's iconoclast position in the Byzantine iconoclasm controversy, condemning the spiritual and liturgical use of iconography as heretical. Opponents of the council described it as the Mock Synod of Constantinople or the Headless Council because no patriarchs or representatives of the five great patriarchates were present: the see of Constantinople was vacant; Antioch, Jerusalem and Alexandria were under Islamic dominion; while Rome was not asked to participate. Its rulings were anathematized at the Lateran Council of 769 before being overturned almost entirely by the Second Council of Nicaea in 787, which upheld the orthodoxy of and endorsed the veneration of holy images.

Marmara University (Turkish: Marmara Üniversitesi) is a public university in Istanbul, in Turkey. The university is named after the Sea of Marmara and was only founded as a university in 1982, but was created in 1883 under the name of Hamidiye Ticaret Mekteb-i Âlisi, in a house in the center of Istanbul.
