Sheets Island Archipelago Natural Area

Enola Yard is a large rail yard located in East Pennsboro Township, Pennsylvania, along the western shore of the Susquehanna River at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Built in 1905 and expanded through the 1930s, Enola was the world's largest freight yard in 1956. It remains in operation today, though it has long since been eclipsed in size and traffic, first by Conway Yard outside Pittsburgh and later by Bailey Yard in Nebraska.

Summerdale is an unincorporated community located in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of 2000, the community had an estimated population of 479. Central Pennsylvania College and the Capital Area Intermediate Unit are located in Summerdale. It is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Wade Island is located in the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Itself a part of the Sheets Island archipelago, the small island is home to Pennsylvania's large nesting colony of herons and egrets.

Academy Manor is a historical suburban subdivision of the Riverside neighborhood within the Uptown section of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The neighborhood extends north from Front and Division Street up to the location of former Harrisburg Academy (the neighborhood's namesake), west to Parkview Lane, and south back to Division St. It was established in the early 20th century with specific plans in terms of lot sizes, setbacks, and the kinds of buildings permitted.

West Fairview, formerly a borough, is now a census-designated place (CDP) located at the confluence of the Susquehanna River and the Conodoguinet Creek in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2020 census, the village had a population of 1,138.

Dixon University Center was a former higher education center made up of college and university-level programs from a consortium of schools in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The facility was located on the former campus of Harrisburg Academy. The site was leased from 1988 until 1991, when it was purchased by PASSHE. In 2022, the campus was sold to the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg to create the Alexander Grass Campus for Jewish Life.

The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) is a state agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that oversees 10 state-owned universities. Collectively, it is the largest provider of higher education in the commonwealth. All of the schools are primarily NCAA Division II members and affiliated with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).PASSHE should not be confused with Pennsylvania's other state-funded university system, the Commonwealth System of Higher Education that includes the land grant university (Pennsylvania State University), three historically private universities (Temple University, Lincoln University, and University of Pittsburgh), and the related campuses of the four institutions.

Enola is a census-designated place (CDP) located along the Susquehanna River in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. The population was 6,111 at the 2010 census. Norfolk Southern operates Enola Yard, a large rail yard and locomotive shop in Enola. It is situated in Cumberland County, directly across the Susquehanna River from Harrisburg and is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle metropolitan statistical area.

Temple Ohev Sholom, established in 1853, is the oldest Jewish synagogue in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States and its surrounding area. It was established as an Orthodox congregation. In 1867, it became a Reform congregation.

Conodoguinet Creek is a 104-mile-long (167 km) tributary of the Susquehanna River in South central Pennsylvania in the United States. The name is Native American, and means "A Long Way with Many Bends".Conodoguinet Creek joins the Susquehanna River upstream of Harrisburg.The water divide between Conodoguinet Creek and Conococheague Creek is sometimes used as the boundary between the Hagerstown Valley and the Cumberland Valley. It flows past many mills, including Maclay's Mill. The Appalachian Trail crosses the creek near Carlisle.

The Zembo Shrine Building, also known as the Zembo Mosque, is a Masonic building located in the Uptown neighborhood of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It is significant architecturally as an example of Moorish Revival architecture. Construction on the edifice was started in 1928, and opened the building in 1930.Zembo Shrine is affiliated to Shriners International, a Masonic order and a philanthropic organization.

The Scottish Rite Cathedral in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is a Masonic building located at 2701 N. Third St. in Harrisburg. The "Theatre at the Scottish Rite Cathedral" was utilized in the "Harrisburg Arts Alive!" program, but in 2021 all events have been "on Hold Due to COVID-19 Virus".
