Wentworthville railway station is located on the Main Western line, serving the Sydney suburb of Wentworthville. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western and T5 Cumberland line services.

Wentworthville is a suburb in Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Castrella is a historical two-storey house, built in 1888, located at 127-129 Wentworth Avenue, Wentworthville, New South Wales. Associated with William Hart Junior and his sons (William Ewart Hart, the early Australian aviator). It is heritage listed by the City of Parramatta for its importance to the area's local history and culture. When the property was purchased, only Toongabbie and Parramatta train station stops existed. The house stood out on a train trip from Toongabbie to Parramatta. The settlers in the local area at the time were familiar with the house and its inhabitants. Castrella is now visible from the train about half way between Pendle Hill and Wentworthville stations (on the left city bound).

Mount Dorothy Reservoir is a heritage-listed reservoir at Caloola Road, Wentworthville, City of Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by the Metropolitan Water Sewerage & Drainage Board and built from 1959 to 1961. It is also known as WS 0073. The property is owned by Sydney Water. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 18 November 1999.

The Parramatta Marist High School is an independent Roman Catholic single-sex secondary day school for boys, located in Westmead, a suburb of the western region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1820 by John Therry, it was the first Catholic school established in Australia, and second oldest school in Australia. Newcastle East Primary School (founded in 1816) is older. Parramatta Marist began under the direction of George Morley. The school was transferred to the site of the present St Patrick's Cathedral in 1837. The school entrusted its operations to the Marist Brothers in 1875, thus becoming Marist Brothers Parramatta (MBP); later, this was changed to 'Parramatta Marist High'. In the 1960s, a decision was made to move the secondary classes to a site in Westmead and leave only the primary classes at the Parramatta site. The Westmead campus was opened in 1966. In 2008, Parramatta Marist High introduced project-based learning into Year 9 which focused on group learning.

Essington is a heritage-listed former gentleman's residence and farm estate and now independent school located at 2, 4, 6, and 8 Bridge Road, Westmead in the Cumberland Council local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1860 to 1890. It is also known as Essington Christian Centre; Westmead Christian Grammar School. The property is owned by Church of the Foursquare Gospel. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Westmead Hospital is a major teaching hospital in Sydney, Australia. Opened on 10 November 1978, the 975-bed hospital forms part of the Western Sydney Local Health District, and is a teaching hospital of Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney. The hospital serves a population of 1.85m people and is located on one of the largest health and hospital campuses in Australia. In 2016/17, Westmead Hospital provided more than 1.5m occasions of care to outpatients, in addition to approximately 107,000 inpatients. Annually, there are over 21,000 medical operations, almost 5,800 births, and more than 75,000 presentations to emergency department.Westmead Hospital is located on the junction of Darcy and Hawkesbury Roads in Westmead and provides a full range of tertiary medical and dental services except for paediatrics which is serviced by the adjacent Children's Hospital at Westmead, relocated from Camperdown to Westmead in 1995. The Hospital includes a large Dental Clinical School and extensive clinical pathology and medical research facilities. From 1995 to 2017 the statewide NETS (NSW), the Newborn and paediatric Emergency Transport Service was hosted at Westmead Hospital, prior to moving to make way for a new acute services block for the hospital. Located nearby are the Cumberland Hospital (providing outpatient and inpatient psychiatric care) and Westmead Private Hospital, a division of Ramsay Health Care.
