First Parish Church (Lincoln, Massachusetts)

Lincoln Public Library is a public library at 3 Bedford Road in Lincoln, Massachusetts. The library collection began in the late 1700s with a private subscription library started by Reverend Charles Stearns, and later a donation by Eliza Farrar of her husband, Professor John Farrar's library collection. In 1884 George Grosvenor Tarbell, a Boston businessman donated funds to construct the current Second Empire style building of reddish Longmeadow freestone, which was designed by the architect, William G. Preston. Large additions to the library were constructed in the 1950s and 1980s. The library is part of the Minuteman Library Network. It is a contributing property in the Lincoln Center Historic District.

Lincoln is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. The population was 7,014 according to the 2020 United States Census, including residents of Hanscom Air Force Base that live within town limits. The town, located in the MetroWest region of Boston's suburbs, has a rich colonial history and large amounts of public conservation land.

The Old Meetinghouse was a Congregational church which stood in Lincoln, Massachusetts, between 1747 and 1859. When it was completed, Lincoln was seven years away from being incorporated, having been part of Concord. It served as a venue for both religious and governmental meetings. Over 77 years, only two ministers served the church: the Reverend William Lawrence (for 31 years) and the Reverend Charles Stearns (for 45 years). The meetinghouse was located just south of the Stone Church, at today's number 14 Bedford Road, which is now the Parish House. Its burial ground, Town Hill Cemetery, is located across Bedford Road, behind Bemis Hall. A third church, today's First Parish, is located a short distance to the south, opposite Lincoln Public Library. The meetinghouse burned down in 1859. In 1942, the Unitarian and Congregationalists united after a century-long split to become today's First Parish.

The Hunt–Rice Tavern (also known as the Poor House and the Jonas Adams House) is a historic building in Lincoln, Massachusetts, United States. Located at 7 Old Lexington Road, immediately south of Bemis Hall, it was completed around 1785. The building was formerly the home of Robert Douglas Donaldson, a native Nova Scotian who became a prolific builder in Massachusetts.

Bemis Hall is the home of the Bemis Lecture Series and the offices of the Lincoln Council on Aging, and is located in the town of Lincoln, Massachusetts. It was dedicated in May, 1892 as part of the will of George Bemis. In the will, Bemis stipulated that the town build, "...a new Town Hall in which shall be a room of sufficient capacity and proper construction for public lectures...and to provide an annual course of public lectures in said Hall of an instructive and elevating character." The building was designed by Boston architect Herbert Langford Warren.

Town Hill Cemetery (formerly known as the Meeting House Burial Ground) is a cemetery in Lincoln, Massachusetts, United States. Dating to 1756 (two years after Lincoln was incorporated), but not officially adopted until 1773, it was the second cemetery established by the town, after Precinct Burial Ground (also known as Lincoln Cemetery or Old Burying Ground). It is located behind Bemis Hall, on Bedford Road but can also be accessed from Old Lexington Road, at the bottom of the slope on which the cemetery stands. Bemis Hall was built in 1892, across Bedford Road from the site of the original meetinghouse. The cemetery contains interments of significant people involved in the Revolutionary War, including minutemen, while Reverence Charles Stearns (1753–1826), was the pastor of the town's Congregational church for 45 years. His predecessor, Rev. William Lawrence (1723–1780), is also buried there.

Wheeler Farm is a historic farm in Lincoln, Massachusetts, United States. Settled in 1717, it was farmed for almost 250 years. Covering 54 acres (22 ha), it is now owned by the Rural Land Foundation (RLF), which was formed in 1965, after the property was placed on the market.

Arborvitae Cemetery, also known as the Triangular Cemetery or Three-Cornered Cemetery, is a historic cemetery in Lincoln, Massachusetts, United States. Dating to around 1837, it was the third cemetery established by the town, after Precinct Burial Ground (also known as Lincoln Cemetery) and Town Hill Cemetery. The cemetery is located in a triangular plot of land bordered by Trapelo Road to the south, Lexington Road to the west and Old Lexington Road to the east. Some interments pre-date the establishment of the cemetery, having been moved there after the opening ceremony. In 1946, the Daughters of the American Revolution copied the inscriptions from the headstones in the cemetery.

The Flint House is a historic First Period house at 28 Lexington Road in Lincoln, Massachusetts. The oldest portions of this house have very early colonial construction, and its main block either is, or contains portions of, a "mansion" built by Ephraim Flint and mentioned in a 1709 deed. This main block appears to have portions of two older structures that were joined; the exact sequence of construction is difficult due to extensive alterations of the building over the 18th and 19th centuries. The property includes a barn which is thought to have been built before 1750, and is unaltered despite having been moved a relatively short distance on the grounds. The house has been occupied by nine generations of Flints, who have been a major force in the civic life of Lincoln.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.In 2015, Sarah Flint was the eleventh generation of the family living on the farm. She stated that the farm is the second-oldest working, family farm in the country.Edward Flint, a cousin of Ephraim, who died in 1754, is buried "below in the corner of the old Flint lot." This is believed to be today's Precinct Burial Ground (or Lincoln Cemetery), around 0.5 miles (0.80 km) to the northeast.

The Lincoln House was an architecturally significant residence in Lincoln, Massachusetts. The house was designed by noted architect Mary Otis Stevens along with her partner and husband Thomas McNulty. It was completed in 1965; the McNulty family lived there for the next 13 years. It then became home to noted opera conductor and stage director Sarah Caldwell, who sold it in 1999. The house was demolished that year, and another was built on the site by 2000.

Beaver Pond is a body of water in Lincoln, Massachusetts, United States. Today it is part of a conservation area, owned by Lincoln Land Conservation Trust (LLCT), containing ponds, wetlands, forests and meadows. Historically, the land was used for farming. The wetlands were dammed so that hay could be harvested, while the upland areas were used for pasture. In the 17th century, Thomas Flint received a grant of 750 acres (300 ha), extending from Flints Pond to Beaver Pond. The land was given to LLCT by Jean Wood Preston. In 2004, the Library of Congress Subject Headings listed Beaver Pond is used for Wheeler Pond. The pond itself, located around 2.42 miles (3.89 km) southeast of Walden Pond, is around 20 acres (8.1 ha) in area. Its outlet, around 1 mile (1.6 km) long, flows southward into Stony Brook, a tributary of the Charles River. Beaver Pond Road, a loop off of Tower Road, is located just to the northwest of the Beaver Pond.

The Lincoln Center Historic District is a historic district on Bedford, Lincoln, Old Lexington, Sandy Pond, Trapelo & Weston Roads in Lincoln, Massachusetts. The district encompasses Lincoln's civic heart, consisting of a traditional New England Meeting House, a Late Victorian church and the Lincoln Public Library, and a Georgian Revival town hall, as well as a cluster of residences dating to the mid-18th century, when Lincoln was established as a town separate from its neighbors.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
