7th & Railyards station

The Railyards Stadium is a planned 21,000 seat soccer-specific stadium to be built in Sacramento, California. It will serve as the home for Sacramento Republic FC, a USL club, with intentions to join Major League Soccer as an expansion team. The stadium is part of the Sacramento Railyards redevelopment project and it was unanimously approved in April 2019 by the Sacramento City Council, The stadium was scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2023 MLS season. However, the Sacramento expansion bid has been placed on indefinite hold as of February 2021. The status of the stadium remains undecided.

Mesick House is a historic home constructed in 1875 in the Second Empire and Italianate Victorian architecture styles. It is one of two High Victorians remaining in Sacramento that display a mansard roof (the other being Stanford Mansion).The home gets its name from its original owner, Mary Mesick.It is located at 517 8th Street, Sacramento, California.

The Sacramento Railyards (or Railyard Specific Plan) is an urban infill project of approximately 244 acres (99 ha) at the western terminus of the First transcontinental railroad located within Sacramento's Central City community, between the downtown Central Business District and the River District, near the confluence of the American and Sacramento rivers. The property is owned by Downtown Railyard Ventures, LLC. The Sacramento Railyards was master-planned by the Jerde Partnership firm. Construction will take 15 to 20 years with a projected build-out to last until the late 2020s. The site is equivalent in size to the existing downtown central business district and holds significant historical and cultural importance to Sacramento. The project features the preservation and partial reuse of the "Central Shops" buildings originally used for railroad maintenance and the former Southern Pacific Sacramento Depot; now known as Sacramento Valley Station. One of the Central Shops will be refitted into a public marketplace. Overall, the project is expected to include 12,000 housing units, 2,900,000 square feet (270,000 m2) of office uses, 1,900,000 square feet (180,000 m2) of retail, hotel, and other commercial uses, 41 acres (17 ha) of parks and open space, a 25,000-seat Major League Soccer stadium for Sacramento Republic FC, a 1.3 million square foot, 17.8 acre Kaiser Permanente flagship medical center campus, a 540,000 square-foot courthouse, and create 19,000 permanent jobs.

The Sacramento County Public Law Library (SCPLL) is a “public” law library in the capital city of the State of California. In 1891 the state of California enacted statutes mandating an independent law library in every county. Since its inception SCPLL has provided free public access to legal information.Today, SCPLL is the sixth largest of California's 58 member libraries of the Council of California County Law Libraries (CCCLL), a statewide networking and advocacy organization. The organization has an active role in state legislative efforts in support of county law library funding.

The Saint Andrews African Methodist Episcopal Church, is an African Methodist Episcopal Church founded in 1850, and is located in Sacramento, California. It was the first African American church in California; and the first A.M.E. Church on the West Coast of the United States. It was originally located at 715 Seventh Street, which is marked by a historical plaque. This church is still active, and is presently located at 2131 Eighth Street in Sacramento. It is listed as a California Historical Landmark (number 1013) since May 5, 1994. It was formerly known as the Colored Methodist Episcopal Church, and the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

The J. Neely Johnson House is a Greek Revival style Neoclassical historic home built in 1853, located in Sacramento, California. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.In 1856 it was a home of John Neely Johnson, fourth governor of California. The next fifth governor, John B. Weller, lived across the street. It is currently owned by Irene Ho of Sacramento, California.

Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF) is a libertarian public interest law firm in the United States. PLF was established for the purpose of defending and promoting individual and economic freedom in the courts. To that end, PLF attorneys provide pro bono legal representation to clients, file amicus curiae briefs, and participate in administrative proceedings with the goal of supporting property rights, equality before the law, freedom of speech and association, economic liberty, and separation of powers. They have represented clients in 14 cases before the United States Supreme Court, which are listed below. PLF is a non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It does not charge for legal services, but instead is funded by donations from individuals (53%), foundations (17%), and associations, small businesses and corporations (17%). Except for court-awarded attorney fees for case victories, the organization receives no money from government.The organization was founded in 1973, making it the first and oldest libertarian public interest law firm.

The Alkali Flat Historic District is a historic district in Sacramento, California. It is the oldest surviving neighborhood in Sacramento. The older Alkali Flat buildings and homes were built between 1853 and 1869 by the Sacramento's upper class. Alkali Flat borders are: 12th Street, H Street (Government Alley), 7th Street, and Southern Pacific Train tracks to the north.

Folsom Powerhouse Station A is a historical building in Sacramento, California. The Folsom Powerhouse Station is a California Historical Landmark No. 633.2 listed on March 3, 1958. Station A was constructed by the Sacramento Electric Power and Light Company in 1894. Folsom Powerhouse Station A is located at the northeast corner of 6th and H Streets. Folsom Powerhouse Station A was the first electricity distribution site for Sacramento. The electricity came from Folsom Powerhouse, California Historical Landmark No. 633.0. The Folsom Powerhouse Station A started operates on July 13, 1895. With the power, Folsom Powerhouse Station A was able run the first overhead wire streetcar system not just Sacramento, but the nearby California Central Valley. Folsom Powerhouse Station A, outputted alternating current (AC) produced by the Folsom Powerhouse hydroelectric power station. This AC system was one of the first AC system in the United States, as at the time other systems were DC current.

The Sacramento Hall of Justice, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a historic building located in Sacramento, California. It is a premiere local example of Beaux Arts Classicism. The inspiration for the building comes from local architect Rudolph Herold, who sought the contract for the Hall of Justice, as well as the City Beautiful movement during the early 20th century. Shea & Lofquist were awarded the contract and their design was required to be compatible with the Herold-designed Sacramento County Courthouse at Seventh and I streets.

7th & Richards / Township 9 is a side platformed Sacramento RT Light Rail station in Sacramento, California, United States. The station was opened on June 15, 2012, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. It is currently the northern terminus of the Green Line and is the only RT light rail station exclusively served by the Green Line, which will ultimately provide service to the Sacramento International Airport upon future build-out. Greyhound Lines's Sacramento bus depot is near the station, at 420 Richards Boulevard. It is located along Richards Boulevard at North 7th Street in the River District, north of Downtown Sacramento. Its opening coincided with the completion of a 1.1-mile (1.8 km) extension of track at a cost of $44 million as the first new station constructed as part of the Green Line. Its opening is envisioned to serve as a catalyst for the redevelopment of the River District by city officials.
