The numbering plan area (NPA) comprises the city of Pittsburgh, most of surrounding Allegheny County, and small portions of Washington and Westmoreland counties. The area code was one of the original North American area codes created in 1947, when it was assigned to the entire southwestern corner of the state.

On October 24, 2022, it was announced that Walmart would be closing on November 11 due to is past and present financial performance.

Aspinwall is a borough on the Allegheny River in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, and is part of the Pittsburgh Metro Area. In 1900, 1,231 people lived in Aspinwall, and that number rose to 2,592 in 1910, and 3,170 by 1920. The population was 2,801 at the 2010 census.

Sauer Buildings Historic District, located between 607 and 717 Center Avenue in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania, consists of a group of buildings designed and built by Frederick C. Sauer from 1898 until his death in 1942. This historic district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 11, 1985.

WJAS (1320 AM) is a commercial radio station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The station has a talk radio format, and uses the slogan "The Talk of Pittsburgh". It is owned by St. Barnabas Broadcasting, a division of the Saint Barnabas Health System, with studios and offices on Fleet Street in Green Tree. The transmitter site is off Highland Drive in the Highland Park neighborhood of Pittsburgh. WJAS broadcasts with 7,000 watts non-directional by day. At night, to avoid interfering with other stations on 1320 AM, it reduces power to 3,300 watts and uses a directional antenna.Programming is also heard on a 99-watt FM translator, W256DE, at 99.1 MHz.

O'Hara Township is a township with home rule status in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in the United States six miles northeast of Downtown Pittsburgh. The community was long organized as a township, and retains "Township" in its official name, but adopted a home rule charter in 1973 (taking effect on January 5, 1976) and is no longer subject to the Pennsylvania Township Code. The population was 8,407 at the 2010 census.It is named for James O'Hara, an early American industrialist in western Pennsylvania, and a revolutionary war general.

The Highland Park Bridge is a truss bridge that carries vehicular traffic across the Allegheny River between the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Highland Park and the suburb of Aspinwall. It replaced a much narrower 1902 streetcar bridge that was ill-equipped to handle heavy commuter traffic, as part of the process of suburbanization in the hills northeast of the city.

The Allegheny River Lock and Dam No. 2 (also known as the Highland Park Lock and Dam) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a lock and fixed-crest dam from 1932. It crosses the Allegheny River between the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Highland Park and the suburb of Aspinwall. The lock and dam were built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a part of an extensive system of locks and dams to improve navigation along the Allegheny River. It is the most-used lock operated by the United States Army Corps of Engineers.Lock and Dam No. 2 is located about 6.7 Miles up the Allegheny River from the Point in Downtown Pittsburgh. Upriver from the dam, Allegheny Pool No. 2 has an average water elevation of 721 feet above sea level and extends about 7.8 miles upriver to Allegheny River Lock and Dam No. 3. Downriver is the Pittsburgh Pool with an average water elevation of 710 feet above sea level. Thus Lock No. 2 lifts and lowers boats about 11 feet between the pools.The Pittsburgh Pool encompasses over 24 Miles of navigable water at about 710 feet of elevation. It stretches about 6.2 Miles up the Ohio River from the Emsworth Locks and Dam, 11.2 Miles up the Monongahela River to the Braddock Locks & Dam, and 6.7 Miles up the Allegheny. The Highland Park Bridge crosses the river just above the dam. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

The Lemington Elementary School in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a building from 1937. Portions of the exterior are ornamented with terracotta, and feature Mayan-inspired motifs such as an amber sunburst frieze and stylized human faces. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Sycamore Run (formerly Squaw Run) is a tributary of the Allegheny River located in Allegheny County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Due to the offensive nature of the word "squaw," the name was changed to Sycamore Run on September 8, 2022.
