The Piccadilly electoral ward of Manchester City Council was created by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England to replace parts of the City Centre and Ancoats & Clayton wards in 2018.It is represented in Westminster by Lucy Powell Labour Co-op MP for Manchester Central.

One Piccadilly Gardens is a large office building on the east side of Piccadilly Gardens, a public square in Manchester city centre. It houses six floors of office space, with shops and restaurants on the ground floor. The entrance to the offices is via a double height diagonal void through the ground and first floors of the building which links Portland Street to Piccadilly Gardens.

The Manchester Roadhouse was a basement music club based at number 8 Newton Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. In March 2015 it was announced that it was to close for business later that year.

The Northern Quarter (N4 or NQ) is an area of Manchester city centre, England, between Piccadilly station, Victoria station and Ancoats, centred on Oldham Street, just off Piccadilly Gardens. It was defined and named in the 1990s as part of the regeneration and gentrification of Manchester. A centre of alternative and bohemian culture, the area includes Newton Street (borders with Piccadilly Basin), Great Ancoats Street (borders with Ancoats), Back Piccadilly (borders with Piccadilly Gardens) and Swan Street/High Street (borders with Shudehill/Arndale). The 2008 UEFA Cup Final riots were a series of public disorder incidents that took place in Manchester, England, on the day of the 2008 UEFA Cup Final. Serious disorder was allegedly sparked by the failure of a big screen erected in Piccadilly Gardens to transmit the match to thousands of Rangers fans who had travelled to the city without tickets. Greater Manchester Police reported that a "minority" of the 200,000 visiting Rangers' fans were involved in the violence; while Detective Superintendent Geoff Wessell, of Greater Manchester Police, stressed that a "very, very low proportion" of the travelling Rangers fans had been involved in disorder. In addition to property damage, fifteen policemen were injured and ambulance crews attended 52 cases of assault. A Manchester City Council inquiry into the events estimated that over 200,000 Rangers fans visited Manchester for the match, with 39 fans were arrested for a range of offences across the city, while 38 complaints were received about the conduct of Greater Manchester Police officers. The report however said that the 37,000 Rangers fans inside the City of Manchester Stadium were extremely well behaved and good humoured – a credit to their football club..

Oldham Street is in Manchester city centre and forms part of the city's historic Northern Quarter district. The Northern Quarter is dominated by buildings that were built before World War II.The street runs from Piccadilly to Great Ancoats Street on the edge of Ancoats, beyond which it continues northwards as Oldham Road, the A62. The street is part of Manchester which is on a tentative list as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Methodist Central Hall stands on the east side.Until the 1970s Oldham Street formed one of the principal shopping areas of Manchester city centre. However the construction of the large indoor Arndale Centre during this decade to the west saw most of the well known and long established high street stores close or relocated.

Afflecks (formerly Affleck's Palace) is an indoor market in Manchester, England, in the city's Northern Quarter on the junction of Church Street/Tib Street and Dale Street with Oldham Street. Dozens of independent stalls, small shops and boutiques operate in the one building. The building was once home to Affleck & Brown, one of the city's principal department stores. A bar on the original site opened in 2015, under the Affleck & Brown name.

3MT Venue, also known just as 3MT, is the Three Minute Theatre in Afflecks Arcade, Oldham Street, Manchester, England. It was a 70-seat independent theatre, cinema and music venue established in 2010 it closed in July 2019. Its first incarnation was on the third floor of the Afflecks building on 16 October 2010 inside the Ghosts in the Machine unit. Its repertoire concentrated on new drama, poetry and comedy. It had a licensed bar. In 2012 it was the host of the first Afflecks Fringe Festival.

Westminster House is a commercial facility on the south east side of Portland Street, Manchester. As "County Hall", it was the headquarters of Greater Manchester County Council from its formation in April 1974 to its abolition in March 1986.

Piccadilly Gardens is a tram stop in Zone 1 of Greater Manchester's Metrolink light rail system. It is located beside Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester city centre, and serves both as a transport hub (by integrating with the adjacent Manchester Piccadilly Gardens bus station), and interchange station (which can be used for changing between Metrolink lines).Piccadilly Gardens tram stop opened on 27 April 1992, as part of Metrolink's Phase 1. The station was rebuilt during 2009 with a wider platform and a new canopy, reopening on 2 November 2009. The stop is one of the most used on the Metrolink network.

The Brunswick Hotel (now trading as The Brunswick) is a Grade II listed historic public house at the corner of Paton Street and Piccadilly in Manchester, England. Built in the early 19th century, the property originally comprised a hotel with two adjoining townhouses, which were later combined and adapted for use as licensed premises.
