Como Beach

The Pagoda is a State Heritage Listed landmark building in Como, Western Australia. Located on Melville Parade, it is an octagonal building with a three-tiered oriental style roof.

Cygnet Cinema is located at 16 Preston Street, Como, Western Australia. It was the first purpose built sound cinema in the suburbs immediately south of the city in the inter-war period. The Cygnet Cinema opened in 1938 and was built by local identity and film entrepreneur James Stiles. It is an excellent example of the art deco style of architect William Leighton and is included on the State's Heritage Register.

The Canning River (Nyungar: Djarlgarra) is a major tributary of the Swan River in the South West Land Division of Western Australia. It is home to much wildlife including dolphins, pelicans, swans and many other bird species.

The Swan River Trust was a Western Australian state government statutory authority defined by the Swan and Canning Rivers Management Act 2006. The Trust reported to the Minister for Environment. It was preceded by the Swan River Management Authority (1977–1989) and earlier Swan River Conservation Board (1959–1976). It was established in 1989 to protect and manage the Swan and Canning rivers. The Trust had several community engagement programs that allowed the Perth community to be involved in caring for the Swan Canning Riverpark including River Guardians, the Dolphin Watch Project, and Ribbons of Blue.On 1 July 2015, the staff and functions of the Swan River Trust were merged with the Department of Parks and Wildlife.

Blue Waters is a historic private residence located on Canning Highway in Como, Western Australia. The house was built in 1954 by Mabel and Keith Perron (the brother of Stan Perron). Designed as a "party palace", it became the hub of the Perth social scene for many years.

South Perth is a residential suburb of Perth, Western Australia that adjoins the southern shore of Perth Water on the Swan River; it is 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of the central business district. The suburb adjoins two major arterial roads—Canning Highway and the Kwinana Freeway, and is within the City of South Perth local government area.

The City of South Perth is a local government area in the inner southern suburbs of the Western Australian capital city of Perth about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of Perth's central business district. The City covers an area of 19.9 square kilometres (7.7 sq mi), maintains 203 kilometres (126 mi) of roads and a little over 4.3 km2 of parks and gardens, and had a population of about 42,000 at the 2016 Census. The City is the entirety of the state electoral district of South Perth. An area of Kensington joined into South Perth after the 2013 redistribution, although dwindling population growth in Victoria Park may mean that part of the City will move back. The area broadly forms a peninsula, being bounded on three sides by the waters of the Swan and Canning rivers.

Point Heathcote (Goolugatup in Noongar) is a geographic feature located on the south east part of Melville Water on Swan River. It is located in Applecross, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia.

Como is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Its local government area is the City of South Perth. The suburb has a population of 12,423. Canning Highway divides the suburb.

Perth Zoo is a 17-hectare (41-acre) zoological park in South Perth, Western Australia. The zoo first opened in 1898 and by 2011 housed 1258 animals of 164 species and an extensive botanical collection. It is a full institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).

Canning Bridge railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Mandurah line, four kilometres from Perth station inside the median strip of the Kwinana Freeway located adjacent to the suburb of Como.

Wesley College, informally known as Wesley, is an independent, day and boarding school for boys and girls (co-ed to Year 6 and boys only Years 7–12), situated in South Perth, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The college is a Uniting Church school, which traces its origins back to 1923 when it was established by members of the Methodist Church which was founded by John Wesley. Since its foundation, the college has been located on a 19 hectare riverside property, near the banks of the Swan River. The campus consists of a Junior School (Manning House) for Pre-kindergarten to Year 4, a Middle School (Years 5 to 8) and a Senior School (Years 9 to 12), performing arts, sporting grounds and boarding facilities for 150 students.
