Milwaukee-Downer Seminary

Wisconsin State College of Milwaukee was a predecessor institution of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Founded in 1885 as Wisconsin State Normal School, it became Wisconsin State Teachers College-Milwaukee in 1927, and Wisconsin State College–Milwaukee in 1951. Originally at a downtown site, the Normal School subsequently moved to the Lakeside campus. In 1956, it became part of the then University of Wisconsin, and subsequently the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee's primary (Eastside) campus.

The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee School of Education is an academic division of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. It offers five undergraduate major, five master's, and 12 doctoral programs. It also offers the only four-year interpreter training degree in Wisconsin. The school was ranked 86th nationally by U.S. News & World Report in 2011.

The Golda Meir Library, located in Milwaukee, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, is the main library of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. The library has more than 4.5 million catalogued items, many of which are available electronically through Electronic Reserve, web-based online catalog, searchable databases and indices. The building was first constructed in 1967 and then expanded with the addition of the East Wing in 1974 and conference center in 1987. The library was named for Golda Meir, the fourth Prime Minister of Israel, who graduated in 1917 from the Milwaukee State Normal School, an institution to which UWM traces its lineage.

The Thomas A. Greene Memorial Museum, also known as Greene Geological Museum or Greene Museum, is a mineral and fossil museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin administered by the Department of Geosciences at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

The former Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist, built between 1929 and 1930, is an historic Christian Science church building located at 3069 North Downer Avenue / 2519 E. Kenwood Boulevard) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Designed in the Georgian Revival style of architecture by the noted Chicago-based architect Charles Draper Faulkner, the building features a redbrick exterior with Bedford limestone trim. The first services in the completed building were held on June 29, 1930. Sometime after 1996 Fourth Church relocated to 2011 East Capitol Drive in Shorewood, Wisconsin. Today the building is the Chinese Christian Church of Milwaukee'

The Klotsche Center (formally the J. Martin Klotsche Center) is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM). Opened in 1977, the arena was named after UWM's first Chancellor, J. Martin Klotsche. It is home to the Milwaukee Panthers women's basketball and volleyball teams. It is part of UWM's Pavilion complex and is used heavily as a practice facility for many teams.In June 2012, UWM announced that it would be moving its men's basketball games from U.S. Cellular Arena back to the Klotsche Center for the 2012-2013 season; the team played at the Klotsche Center from 1977 to 1992 and again from 1998 to 2003. To make Klotsche more suitable for Division I basketball, new scoreboards, video boards, and new padded courtside seats were installed. After just one season, UWM and the Wisconsin Center District announced that men's basketball would be returning to U.S. Cellular Arena.

The Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts (more often referred to as the "Zelazo Center" or the "ZPAC") is a performing arts center located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. It houses the 756-seat Helen Bader Concert Hall, large rehearsal spaces, meeting facilities, music offices, and dance studios for the UWM Peck School of the Arts. The Zelazo Center is one of many facilities maintained by the Peck School of the Arts, including the Fine Arts Building, as well as Kenilworth Square East.

Pangaea is a public art work by artist Michaela Mahady, on the east side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. The mixed media work incorporates concrete, brick, stone, steel, ceramic tile and colored leaded glass into a pavilion crowned with images of technology. Pangaea represents the global nature of today's world. The artwork is located in a courtyard behind the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business and was funded by the Wisconsin Arts Board's Percent for Art program.

The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UW–Milwaukee, UWM, or Milwaukee) is a public urban research university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is the largest university in the Milwaukee metropolitan area and a member of the University of Wisconsin System. It is also one of the two doctoral degree-granting public universities and the second largest university in Wisconsin. The university consists of 14 schools and colleges, including the only graduate school of freshwater science in the U.S., the first CEPH accredited dedicated school of public health in Wisconsin, and the state's only school of architecture. As of the 2015–2016 school year, the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee had an enrollment of 27,156, with 1,604 faculty members, offering 191 degree programs, including 94 bachelor's, 64 master's and 33 doctorate degrees.The university is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Highest research activity". In 2018, the university had a research expenditure of $55 million.The university's athletic teams are the Panthers. A total of 15 Panther athletic teams compete in NCAA Division I. Panthers have won the James J. McCafferty Trophy as the Horizon League's all-sports champions seven times since 2000. They have earned 133 Horizon League titles and made 40 NCAA tournament appearances as of 2016.

The Columbia College of Nursing (previously known as the Knowlton Hospital Training School and Columbia Hospital School of Nursing) is a nursing school, now located in Glendale, Wisconsin, a northern suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S.
