Senator Speno Memorial Park

East Meadow is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York. The population was 38,132 at the 2010 census. Many residents commute to Manhattan, which is 30 miles (48 km) away.

East Meadow Beth-El Jewish Center (EMJC) is a Conservative synagogue located at 1400 Prospect Avenue, East Meadow, on Long Island, New York, in the United States. Temple Beth-El of Bellmore, New York, consolidated with East Meadow Jewish Center to create East Meadow Beth-El Jewish Center. Rabbi Dr. Ronald L. Androphy has been the rabbi of the synagogue since 1983.

Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) is a public teaching hospital affiliated with the Health Sciences Center of Stony Brook University and with Northwell Health. The 19-story, 631-bed Level I Trauma Center is located at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, New York, in Nassau County on Long Island. The mission of Nassau University Medical Center is to provide comprehensive high-quality health care services to patients regardless of their ability to pay. It is organized as a New York state public-benefit corporation under the name, Nassau Health Care Corporation.

North Bellmore is a census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 19,941 at the 2010 census. North Bellmore, along with Bellmore, are referred to collectively as "The Bellmores". Also, the part of the latter area south of Merrick Road (or possibly south of Sunrise Highway) is sometimes called "South Bellmore". Both serve as suburbs of New York.

East Meadow High School is a public high school in the East Meadow Union Free School District in East Meadow, New York. The school was founded in 1953 and serves students in grades 9−12.

North Merrick is a hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Hempstead, in Nassau County, near the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 12,238 on the 2020 census.

Bellmore–Merrick Central High School District is the central high school district of the Long Island hamlets of Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick, and North Merrick, New York. More than 5000 students, grades 7-12, attend the Bellmore–Merrick secondary schools. There are three high schools (grades 9-12) and two (previously four) middle schools (grades 7-8) in the district.

Brookholt was a Gilded Age mansion on Front Street in East Meadow, Long Island, New York. It was built for Oliver and Alva Belmont in 1897. Designed by Richard Howland Hunt, the house was built in the Colonial Revival-style, rendered in wood. John Russell Pope designed a Georgian-style farmhouse on the property in 1906 also.

Spit (alternately known as Uncle Sam's) was a nightclub and music venue located at Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown, New York. The club opened in 1978 and closed in 1992. Some well-known artists performed at the club including Madonna, Kansas, Blue Öyster Cult, Steve Vai, Fishbone, Mr. Bungle, and Tiny Tim. Duran Duran played their first ever North American gig at Spit on September 16, 1981. Forest City Community Park (also known as Forest City Park) is a public, 21-acre (8.5 ha) park located within North Wantagh in the Town of Hempstead, in Nassau County, New York, United States. The park is owned and operated by the Town of Hempstead.

Governor's Comedy Club is an American comedy club in Levittown, New York, on Long Island, opened in 1985. It hosts a variety of comedians from local talent, to national headliners such as Kevin James, Nick DiPaolo, Andrew Dice Clay, and Gilbert Gottfried. In 2017, Governor's opened "The Lil' Room", which is a smaller and more intimate 60-seat showroom located within Governor's of Levittown, separate from the club's main showroom; in 2022, the room's name was changed to "The Giggle Room" and the size of the room itself was expanded to seat around 90 people. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, they opened a third stage at their Levittown location, "The Patio", located outdoors adjacent to the club; shows on the Patio are usually held during the warmer months of the year. Governor's has two sister clubs also on Long Island: The Brokerage Comedy Club & Vaudeville Cafe (opened in 1980) in Bellmore and McGuire's in Bohemia. It also had a former club, Gateway, located in Medford; Gateway had closed temporarily but has since re-opened, now based out of the Clarion Hotel in Ronkonkoma. Though not run by the Governor's group, they will occasionally hold shows at any of the three Governor's clubs. Governor's also formerly operated a summer-only showroom inside the Memory Motel in Montauk. They all hold comedy classes, which train up and coming comedians on comedy writing and performance styles, resulting in a "Graduation Show" at either the Governor's, Brokerage or McGuire's clubs.

Wellington C. Mepham High School is a public high school located on a 21-acre (85,000 m2) campus in North Bellmore, New York. It is the oldest of three high schools in the Bellmore–Merrick Central High School District. The school is known locally as "Mepham" (pronounced MEP-um), and was named in honor of the first school superintendent in the district. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,241 students and 83.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.9:1. There were 146 students (11.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 26 (2.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
