Oakfield Cemetery (also known as the Old Burying Ground) is a 70 X 438 tract of land located on Oakfield Avenue in Wantagh, New York, in the United States. It is covered with grass and lined with sporadically placed oak trees, and is surrounded by residential homes. Backyard fencing of homes also surrounds the land on both sides. The cemetery is now kept locked to keep vandals out. It was first deeded as a cemetery on March 18, 1851, and is noted as the second cemetery in the area to be used by Black residents of Wantagh, many of whom were descendants of freed Jackson family slaves. It is most noted as being the final resting place of four black Civil War soldiers. The Town of Hempstead takes care of this property. It is nicknamed by area residents as "Indian Burying Ground."

Wantagh Senior High School is a secondary state school located in Wantagh, New York. The school is part of the Wantagh Union Free School District. Wantagh Senior High School is a two-time National Blue Ribbon School — a designation awarded annually by the United States Department of Education to high-performing American schools. Readings of college and career readiness amongst students at the high school measured “far above” the New York state average. The school caters to students in grades 9-12 and boasts a 99% graduation rate.

Samuel and Elbert Jackson House is a historic home located at Wantagh in Nassau County, New York. It is an essentially L-shaped dwelling. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure with rear and side wings, one of which dates to the 18th century. The large main, square central block dates from the mid-19th century and is two stories with a simple, straight pitched gable roof. There are Greek Revival details.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

North Wantagh is a hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 11,960 at the 2010 census.

Jerusalem District No. 5 Schoolhouse is a historic one-room school building located at 3510 Old Jerusalem Rd, Wantagh, New York in Nassau County, New York. It is owned by Levittown Union Free School District #5. It was built in 1876 and enlarged to three rooms about 1920. It is a T-shaped building with the original section located at the rear. It is a long frame building on a poured concrete foundation and hipped roof with shallow overhanging eaves. The main entrance features a portico. It is now leased out to a private day care facility. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996, and was also listed as a Town of Hempstead Historic Site.

MacArthur High School is a public high school located in Levittown, New York. One of two high schools in the Levittown Union Free School District, the school is named after United States General Douglas MacArthur. As of the 2018–19 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,234 students and 95.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.9:1. There were 67 students (5.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 42 (3.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.According to the 2007 Newsweek Magazine issue of Top 1,200 U.S. schools, MacArthur High School was ranked as #518.

North Bellmore is a census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 19,941 at the 2010 census. North Bellmore, along with Bellmore, are referred to collectively as "The Bellmores". Also, the part of the latter area south of Merrick Road (or possibly south of Sunrise Highway) is sometimes called "South Bellmore". Both serve as suburbs of New York.

Wantagh Railroad Complex (also known as the Wantagh Museum), is a collection of old buildings in Wantagh, New York. It consists of the 1885-built Wantagh Railroad Station before it was moved from its original location in 1966, when the Babylon Branch was being elevated throughout the mid-20th century. The station itself was a replacement for original South Side Railroad of Long Island station built in 1867. It also includes a diamond-shaped pre-crossbuck railroad crossing sign, and an old grade crossing gate.

Wantagh ( WAHN-taw) is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, New York, United States. The population was 18,613 at the time of the 2020 census. Wantagh is known as "The Gateway to Jones Beach".

Levittown Memorial High School was a public high school for grades 9-12 that was operated by the Levittown Union Free School District. Opened in 1953, the school closed in 1983 and has been used by the district for its offices and as the site of the Gerald R. Claps Career and Technical Center. The school was the district's first high school, constructed to serve the influx of new residents who had moved in to the suburban development in Levittown, New York. In the face of declining enrollment, the school was closed in 1983 and repurposed for district offices and as a career center.

Levittown Union Free School District (LUFSD) is a school district in central Nassau County on Long Island, approximately ten miles east of New York City. The district approximately 5.5 square miles (14 km2) includes parts of the following hamlets; Levittown, North Wantagh, and Seaford. Currently, there are six elementary schools (K-5), two middle schools (6-8), two high schools (9-12) and one career & technical center. The school district sits on over 200 acres (0.81 km2) of property, and its facilities occupy over 1,500,000 square feet (140,000 m2). The district has a transportation complex of 5 buildings, a buildings and grounds complex of 4 buildings, a middle school leased to BOCES, 22 pump houses and storage sheds as well as vacant property on which once sat an elementary school. The district operates its own Transportation System, transporting over 4,000 students per day. Transportation is available for those students in Grades K-8 who live beyond 3/4 of a mile and 9-12 who live beyond 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from their respective school. The district implemented an all day Kindergarten program in 2011/12. The school district administration is headed by Dr. Tonie McDonald, the current Superintendent of Schools, appointed July 1, 2014. Her contract has been expanded expires on June 30, 2021. Dr. Tonie McDonald is a life long Levittown resident who taught and rose through the ranks of the district she now leads. The Board of Education President is Peggy Marenghi. She was elected to the Board of Education until June 30, 2019.

Wantagh is a station on the Babylon Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located on Wantagh Avenue and Railroad Avenue near NY 27 (Sunrise Highway) in Wantagh, New York. It is commonly used as a terminal and origin for some Babylon branch trains during the rush hours.
